About Bryan and Christen Drew
We live in Southern Illinois and our family has now grown to include four children. We have a girl age 13, a girl age 9 and a boy 5 years and our baby girl is 4 years old.
Bryan and Christen Drew purchased this Condo in 2012
Why Bryan and Christen Drew chose Miramar Beach
Our family vacationed last year at Surfside and loved the condo units and the resort was exactly what we wanted. Condo unit 410 was huge for a condo and we needed the extra bedrooms with our ever growing family. This resort is perfect for a family of any size or ages as well as those adults who want to get away. The resort has everything you need and really makes you feel like you are at a home away from home.
What makes this Condo unique
The size and openness of the condo sold us right away. With a full kitchen, washer/dryer, two bedrooms and two bathrooms it had all the room we needed while still feeling comfortable. Walking out of the resort and onto the beach through a private entrance is unique in the Destin Area and a big benefit for couples or families with children.

We enjoyed our time on the Emerald Coast. The place was perfect for our needs.
While the room was very nice, we don’t think the folks who cleans the place does the owner a true service. While overall the appearance looks clean, the closer look revealed dirty floors and bathrooms. There is some caulking falling off the master bathroom shower. Looked to be what appeared to be black stains in the grout.
Resort staff (one in particular) seemed to be always questioning our girls and had accused them of lying to her when she asked which room they were in. This was the first night but on additional days she always initiated contact with the girls to ask them what they were doing. I understand spring break brings many young adults to the resort and the potential problems but our girls were underaged and had no intentions of taking part of anything illegal so it wasn’t offending to them when those staff member seem to go out ignoring her way to interrogate them. They were just enjoying the pool area.
Other than these small issues, we enjoyed our week in Miramar Beach.
This condo has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The colors are pleasing and the furniture comfortable. Along with great beds. Plus you have a wonderful view of the Gulf and all the comforts of home. We'll be back.
Surfside Royal Palms, Miramar Beach, Florida Sept 30-Oct 6, 2017
Nice place to stay. Good location. Beach was great. Temperature excellent. Water temperature was great. Red Flag every day of stay except for afternoon of arrival. Gulf was rough and swimming was dangerous entire stay. Thank goodness for the pool and hot tubs.
Only two elevators but both were available rather quickly most of the time.
Accommodations: The condo was adequate for the five of us without running into each other at every turn. It is a bit dated, and needs some maintenance and housekeeping attention. The kitchen cabinet doors need to have the hinge screws tightened. One door above the microwave nearly came off when opened. There are three slats missing from the dining room window blinds. The shower head in the master bath leaks badly and needs to have new plumbers tape on the threads. The hall light between master bath and bedroom did not work. (Light bulb or electrical problem unknown). Two small lamps in the second bedroom did not work upon arrival, leaving room completely dark. Both were unplugged and there were not enough outlets to accommodate them and the TV fixtures. One of the comforters on the bed nearest the door had a dark red spot on it that appeared to be dried blood. (A pillow was also similarly stained upon removing the pillow case as instructed when leaving at the end of our stay.) There was also long, black hair between the comforter and sheet. In the small bathroom, the bathtub drain was nearly stopped up with hair, that I removed. It is evident that attention to detail in house keeping is lacking. Overall, we enjoyed our stay in the Destin area, but it could have been more pleasant had we not encountered the items list above. Overall Opinion: I liked where here were located. It was close to shopping and good places to eat. Just a little disappointed in the condition/cleanliness of the condo.
Very nice place
Good place to stay, good location
Nice large balcony
Great Family Trip
Resort and room was clean, spacious, and well maintained. Has close access to beach just across the street. Staff was friendly. Perfectly located near Destin outlets. My family had a great time staying at this location!
Good location and property
Good location and property.
The aquarium with dolphin experience is great for kids. Amazing amount of shopping and restaurants within 5 minutes of the resort.
