Your dream Dalmatian experience starts here. Classic Split show you the real Split, in an antique, luxurious apartment.
This elegant apartment occupies the whole floor of a 19th century townhouse. Unusually for central Split, every room has a window, which makes the rooms light and airy. The south façade, which has a balcony, looks out on the UNESCO heritage area, which includes the corner tower of Diocletian’s Palace and the Venetian city wall that protected Split for so many centuries. The south façade looks out on the terracotta rooftops of central Split, and the Dinaric Alps beyond. The Palace and city wall can also be seen from this side.
NEWS! In response to concerns about noise, the apartment has been fitted with double-glazed windows in April 2018.
All rooms have 3-meter ceilings, and the original ceramic tiles, oak parquetry, and timber windows and shutters have been retained through the whole apartment. The bedrooms have hand-woven pure wool carpets from Afghanistan and vintage light fittings. A large hall separates the two sleeping areas so the apartment is ideal for groups or families who want some private space. There are two new bathrooms, one with a bath/shower, and the other with a large shower. A divan in the lounge room converts to a double bed, while a single sofa in the master bedroom converts into a single bed, ideal for a young child wanting to be near to their parents. There are two televisions with satellite TV, a Pioneer stereo system with Bluetooth, CD/DVD, USB or aux connections. The USB can be used for charging mobile phones.
A 7 kg washer and 7 kg dryer are provided for guests’ clothes. The fully-equipped kitchen contains a refrigerator, microwave, stove-top, convection oven, dishwasher, toaster and kettle.
All equipment and, furniture (except some vintage furniture) and bedding is new, and no expense has been spared.
