Our apartments are situated in the City of London, not the suburbs or a tube journey away, you are there from your doorstep.
The location is within minutes walk of great tourist attractions such as Tower of London, Tower Bridge, St. Katherines Dock, St. Pauls, Tate Modern, The Globe Theatre but also if on business Lloyds of London and of course the square mile and it has access to the Underground 200 metres away. The DLR 150m away can take you to Canary Wharf or ExCel centre in minutes for conventions and events. We also have the River Bus by the Tower of London, which can take you up and down the river whether on tourism or work.

We have a very well stocked mini Tesco Express store just around the corner from the main entrance of Marlyn Lodge for any provisions you may require whilst in residence. We also have many restaurants / cafes / bars / pubs and general stores in our immediate area. A Starbucks is located 50 yards away for your morning coffee.

Why Andrew Ellis chose City of London
The property is in possibly one of the best locations for tourism and work. There is so much history in the area and also amazing restaurants and bars being in the City of London. We are a serviced apartment so we have staff on the premises from 8am to 4pm weekdays. So anything not quite right we can remedy straight away for you. It is also of a very good size compared to other apartments in the City and your key is waiting for you on arrival at the property not at another location as is sometimes the case with other apartment lets.
What makes this Apartment unique
Not many apartments allow you to walk out of your building and walk 3 minutes to see the Tower of London which is over 900 years old. Wonderful stay at Marlyn Lodge
The apartment we were allocated was spacious and very comfortable. A minor problem we experienced with the shower tap was rectified within hours of notification. The facilities within the apartment were all very good including TVs, kitchen utensils, bedding and the like. It's not a modern apartment by any means but for our short term stay it was excellent. The location is close to several tube stations which makes it convenient for getting central London for the obvious tourist activities. Importantly, the contact we had with the managing agent prior to arrival was first class. This enabled ready and easy access to the apartment upon arrival. We would stay here again without hesitation!
Very spacious and clean
We were very very impressed with this place.
For a studio it has loads of room. It has a decent size bathroom with bath and over bath shower (which was lovely). Towels, handwash, shampoo & conditioner were all included.
It has a separate kitchen with full size fridge/freezer, oven with 4 ring hob, microwave, kettle, 4 slice toaster and more than enough crockery/cutlery for 4 people. You could easily cook / eat every meal in if you wanted to.
The main room has a double bed, a large double sofa bed and a large 4 seater dining table and chairs. Even with all this and the sofa bed made up there is still plenty of room for 4 people. The apartment is light and airy and has air con. The windows open for some fresh air too.
There is a large tv, and a sound system.
The place was spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated.
Portsoken street is a nice quiet street. Around the corner is a well stocked Tesco express and there are dozens of eateries for different budgets/tastes within a 5 min walk.
I would highly recommend this place and will definitely be booking again next time that I am in London.
London, near the Tower
Roomy flat, good area, very convenient to tube stations.
Great location, very comfortable
This was our second time to rent a flat in Marlyn Lodge from Andrew. This time, we rented two. Both were very comfortable and met all of our needs. The location is great. Very close to many attractions and the tube. We will rent from Andrew again on our next trip to London.
well equipped studio. well situated.
We had a wonderful time my grandson and I. It was close to Towern and Tower hill station. You need to get a better guide how to get from Tower Hill to the studio, perhaps download a map with instructions.
The cleaning lady was efficient and nice even if she had a hard time understanding English, we worked it out with sign and mimes and she helped out very nice. When we arrived to Copenhagen I told a lady and her two sons about your nice studios and also gave your mail adress, so she will probably contact you when going to London with her sons.
In your information when someone have booked with you give the information some way about Oyster card. You will be thanked since this save visitors a lot of money.
I gladly give you more points, but all in all I'm very happy staying with you
Toller Kurztrip in einer schönen Wohnung
Von Anfang bis Ende hat alles super geklappt. Danke Andrew! Die Wohnung ist mittendrin im Finanzviertel von London. Kurze Wege zur U-Bahn, Einkaufen, Tower, Skygarden, Starbucks...Klein (wie wohl alle Wohnungen in London) und fein in einem ruhigen Haus. Es ist alles vorhanden, was man so braucht (inkl. gutem WLAN). Wir haben unseren Kurzaufenthalt genossen und können diese Wohnung auf jeden Fall weiter empfehlen.
The location is great for visiting the historic & iconic sights within the City of London inc. St Paul's Bank of England Lloyd's Girkin etc. We are situated only 3 minutes walk from: Tower of London Tower Bridge St. Katherine's dock Bars & Restaurants. A little further you have:- The Globe HMS Belfast TATE Modern Hays Galleria Borough Market Spitafields Market Petticoat Lane Pleasure boats depart from nearby Tower Pier both down river to Greenwich & up the river to Westminster and beyond stopping at various points including the London Eye & Shakespear Globe Theatre. A bus service (number 15) stops in Minories (located at the end of Portsoken Street) for Trafalgar Square, the Mall and Buckingham Palace, Piccadilly, London theatres and other attractions in the West End. The nearest underground station is Tower Hill on the Circle and District lines and is a few minutes walk from the apartments. We also have the DLR a couple of minutes away which can take you to Canary Wharf / City Airport / Westgate Shopping Centre
Additional information about rental rates
You must book a sofa bed at £15 per night for 3/4 persons or if 2 persons want separate beds. Cleaning charges - A £35 final cleaning charge is payable for all apartments. Weekday maid service available for a charge of £10 per day (not charged on day of arrival or departure) Additional charges :telephone calls made.
