This home, completely remodeled in 2012, has all the comforts of home, plus every amenity you want for a fantastic vacation. Located just 60 minutes from Chicago and 50 minutes from South Bend, this home is perfect for summer vacations, weekend winery tours, and Notre Dame sports weekends. Only one house separates this home from one of Lake Michigan's most gorgeous beaches so you can enjoy the luxury of beach front living.
The home features a fully equipped kitchen, plus an open living and dining area. Vintage stained glass windows contribute to the hip cottage atmosphere. Over 500 square feet of patio space with a large fire pit and plenty of seating offer tons of space for dining and relaxing. The house also has an outdoor shower, a large private back yard, and an indoor/outdoor speaker system.

Why Jen Truszkowski chose Indiana
We have been enjoying the NW Indiana/SW Michigan lakefront for years, but had been searching for a house close to the beach. When the house in front of this became available (VRBO#452281), we jumped on the chance to have a waterfront property. The house needed to be completely gutted and rebuilt including new plumbing, electric, HVAC, flooring, bathrooms, kitchens, etc., which gave us the opportunity to design and furnish the home so it is ideal for summer vacation rentals. This home came on the market the next year. Although we were still recovering from the previous remodel, we knew having two neighboring homes would offer more space for reunions, large families and more. We gave this home the same overhaul and now can offer double the fun!
What makes this house unique
Dune Fine is a great place for kids. Our back yard offers privacy for get togethers on the patio and lots of wide open space for kids to run and explore. It's easy to run back and forth from the water to the house, sunsets are at your fingertips every night, and the sounds of the waves crashing reminds us we are someplace special!

Beautiful home and helpful ownders.
Our family truly enjoyed our stay at Dune Fine. We have big and little kids, and loved being so very close to the beach. The owners have done a nice job to ensure everything you need is available, and were quick to help when we needed it! The home itself is clean, beautiful, and a relaxing place to vacation. My favorite amenity may have been the outdoor shower to wash the sand down the drain before even stepping foot in the house :) Oh, and the sand is amazingly clean and soft in this area of Lake Michigan. So thankful we found this spot, and we're all voting for a return visit someday!
Just Perfect
My family and I rented this property with another family to enjoy a short weekend on Lake Michigan. There were 4 adults and 4 children under the age of 6, and this house was absolutely perfect for us! The children's bedroom upstairs can sleep 4 with a fun and modern atmosphere. The furnishings were all in great condition, and loved the wood floors in the home. The bathrooms were lovely, and recently remodeled as the description states. Our weather wasn't the greatest for part of our time, but I know we would have used the back deck if it was better. What a great home, beach, and location. We will come back soon!
Great House, Beautiful Beach!
I had never heard of Michigan City before booking our stay at Dune Fine, but was blown away by how beautiful the beach was! We headed over the dunes right when we pulled in the drive way to check it out and it was an awesome view! I am a VRBO vacation home owner and I was very pleased with this rental. The house was super cute and very spacious for our group of 7. We spent the majority of the weekend on the back patio or at the beach which was only a walk over the dunes. We had a great time and would definitely come back!
Great Home!
My family just completed a week at Dune Fine and we had a ball! 4 adults and 7 grandkids--perfect size. The house is furnished beautifully and everything is very modern compared to the other properties my other family members were renting. Ours was the "go to" patio and house for gathering. Great kitchen and very well stocked with everything we needed to feed large groups. Washer and dryer in basement was well used with all the kids! We loved it!!
Cute Beach Retreat
Dune Fine was a lovely and comfortable getaway. The home was well appointed and it was close to the lake. The patio and the fire pit added enjoyable living space for our group. We will definitely check availability in the future. One thing I would like to point out for future renters, there is a city parking area across from the house. You need a permit to park there and can check ahead of time for daily permits. They office where you would buy them are closed on weekends. There is street parking but it can fill up quickly because of the other units in the area. The owner of this unit was very responsive and helpful when we had questions.

Picture perfect house. Absolutely adorable and full of character. Great quality and thoughtful touches throughout. The house has everything you’d need. The kitchen was stocked better my own home kitchen. A real care for detail and for having a fabulous vacation. Easy to get to from Chicago and just a short walk over the dunes to a beautiful beach. I’d stay there over and over again. Great for kids of all ages.
