Location, Location, Location
We enjoyed the property very much. It was a little pricey and I did not enjoy having to strip the sheets off all the beds or putting away all the dishes before we left. ( we did run the dishwasher) A later check out option would've been nice. All in all it was a nice place to stay
We rented the Chanticleer Cottage for our son's wedding at Grandview. This was a perfect location. The groom and his groomsmen were able to walk over right before the wedding. The home is so very nicely decorated. We were comfortable and relaxed in anticipation of the wedding. The four bedrooms and 3 1/2 bathrooms provided more than enough room for our big family. Several of our friends and part of the wedding party were able to stay at the Chanticleer Bed & Breakfast right behind us. We are already talking about a return visit in the fall to vacation and see the sights.
Our daughter goes to college in Lookout Mountain, we live in California. We rented the cottage for her 21st birthday. Everything was absolutely perfect the cottage is very well appointed, room for 8 people was perfect. I had some packages shipped early, they were right where I asked them to be when I arrived. I would come back over and over again. I have stayed at the Chanticleer B&B on the same property, the cottage is just as magical as the B&B. Thank you Rob & Audrey, you are awesome.
This is the second time my wife and I along with some friends have stayed in the cottage and both times it has far exceeded our expectations. The cottage is clean and perfectly appointed. It has a great kitchen to prepare in, even though most of our meals are eaten at Cafe on the Corner while we are on the mountain. We have used the cottage to host some friends for a small scale marriage retreat. 3 couples stay at the cottage and 3 couples stay at The Chanticleer Inn (also a place that my wife and I have stayed at least 4 times so far). We use the cottage's living room for our retreat and the owners have been more than accommodating to us. I would recommend this cottage, as I already have, to anyone. A great experience!
This cottage is exactly like the photos posted! We have never stayed so just prayed it was as nice as the pictures posted. It was and more! I am very particular about cleanliness and location. It was as clean as my own home ;) I love the interior design (would like to hire them to redecorate for me haha) The barn door into the master bath was beautiful. I can not say enough about our stay. We could not figure out how to switch the DVD player on from TV, the owner was there in 5 minutes to take care of it himself and show me how to turn on the fireplace. Very friendly and even remembered it was my husbands birthday that weekend. We will definitely be back and are telling our friends about this stay.
We recently stayed at the Chanticleer cottage for a weekend getaway with family. We have stayed at several VRBO's with this group before but this was definitely one of our favorites. The cottage was comfortable, clean, beautifully decorated, nicely appointed and in an unbeatable location. The owner was accommodating and easy to work with. Overall, the cottage exceeded our expectations and will definitely be our go-to place to stay on Lookout Mountain.
