Welcome to Coastal Paradise at Maravilla, a coastal decorated 1 bedroom, 1 bath condo that welcomes up to 6 guests to enjoy the colorful tropical décor in a comfortable setting at the Maravilla resort condominium complex.
Privately owned, professionally managed condo that welcomes up to 6 guests to enjoy a weekend, week, month, season or longer. This condo has hosted dance champions! Competing in a Galveston event - keep the tradition going and stay here!
The bedroom features a comfy queen bed and access to the bathroom, as well as its own television.
Just outside in the hallway you will find true twin-sized bunk beds tucked away in the hallway to save space but allow for extra sleeping accommodations.
The spacious living area includes a queen sized sleeper sofa, and a great entertainment center complete with flat panel television, DVD player and stereo, and the owner has even provided a selection of movies in the event of a little rain or too much sun!
The kitchen welcomes the novice to the gourmet to prepare full meals, make sandwiches for the picnic at the beach, or warm leftovers from any of the great Galveston restaurants for a midnight snack.
The Maravilla resort complex features three pools (heated only by the environment), a hot tub, and recreation room including ping pong table, lending library, and exercise equipment.
Parking, while unassigned, is available under the building or on the perimeter. We include in our price quote one permit valid for the duration of your stay. Additional permits are available for purchase at the complex office and are $15.00 per vehicle valid for the duration of your stay.
The Maravilla resort complex is gulf front and while in 2016 the City of Galveston received a grant to extend the sand beaches westward, they didn't quite make it this far. The nearest sand beach is roughly 1 mile to the west of the complex. Many of our guests book at this complex planning to go to the beach but once they arrive and experience everything the complex has to offer - they somehow never make it to the beach.
Regrettably, at the time being there is a problem with the balcony at this unit and the board of directors of the Association at the Maravilla has indicated that no one is to use the balconies in an abundance of caution. There is a notice posted on the door to the balcony that explains this, and we are truly sorry for this and we appreciate your understanding that this is 100% out of our control. Please note that if you reserve this property you do so knowing that the balcony cannot be accessed during your stay. Just as soon as we get the green light to allow access again we will do so - but we want to ensure that you are safe during your stay and Come Stay With Us again in the future!

Better than the pictures
There is new furniture (new sleeper sofa) than the one in the pictures. The view from the balcony is great, the grounds and the pools are wonderful. We were so glad that we chose this condo for our stay in Galveston - perfect for our family with 3 adults and 2 kids - everything we needed was here and the place was really clean. Will definitely recommend the place and will come here again when we get to go to the beach again.

My Galveston Getaway
We were there for July 4th weekend. It's small but we were find dealing with the lack of space.
The biggest issue for us was the shower was hardly working. There were two shower heads attempting to push out water. I emailed the owner, she came over and said she did something to improve the pressure - nothing changed. Clearly there's an issue when you can't get the soap off your body.
The AC also gave us problems the whole stay. we followed all the rules (don't set it below 72 or the AC freezes up etc)... if you go out the balcony and quickly shut the door behind you a few times, the temp of the condo raises up quickly and it will literally take hours to return to cool. The last night (july 4th) we tried cooking in the condo and the place warmed up like an oven to 84 (though the thermostat was set to 72) and we had no luck bringing the temp in time. We packed up and left that night even though we paid for the night.
Clearly issues with the AC too. Neither were recognized as being an issue by owner. If you want the very basic comfort like a shower and AC - do not stay here.
We are so sorry that you did not enjoy your 4th of July holiday weekend with us. We strive for 100% customer satisfaction. Unmentioned was the early check-in that we offered, at no additional cost, as you arrived early with two tired toddlers in tow.
We were never notified about an AC concern until after you left. I had an AC contractor on stand by all weekend (thank goodness he was not needed in any of the 35+ properties that we manage), and he would have been over had we known of any concerns. As soon as I received your message - after you left - that there was an issue, I sent him over and he could not find anything wrong with the system, in fact, it was at 73 when he arrived.
With regard to the shower, I met with the mother of our guest in an effort to resolve this as she was at the property when I went to check on it over the holiday weekend. After making an adjustment, she agreed that it was working. I would not have left, or would have found an alternate remedy, had I not been told that it was resolved. I truly believe that we responded to your concerns as we were made aware of them, and I am just sorry that you were not satisfied as our goal is 100% customer satisfaction. We strive to exceed our guests' expectations when it comes to accommodations and services.
So glad that after your mom called asking that we help her locate a lost item that it was located. She is a lovely woman and I enjoyed meeting with her and visiting with her when I was there.
