Awesome host in great location
Quaint, adorable apartment in Spanish Harlem. Our family of 4 just spent 6 nights here. JT is very responsive, friendly and helpful. We loved having a home base in Manhattan, near Central Park and so close to the Subway. Friendly Coffee Shop across the street is a great place to start your day.
The apartment had everything we could need. Keep in mind it's an older apartment so the bathroom tile has cracks and the floors slant; I felt this added to the charm.
The bathroom is a bit small and the shower head is in the center of the tub making it a bit challenging to wash long hair, but it worked. The AC units in both bedrooms and the family room worked well to keep us cool on close to 80 degree days. It was great to have such a large kitchen fully stocked with dishes, silverware, pots and pans. It was very easy to take the subway everywhere we needed to go. Also, plenty of places to go to within walking distance.
I highly recommend JT and his quaint place.
Lovely apartment in Spanish Harlem
We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to NYC and our stay in this clean, spacious well maintained 2nd floor walk-up apartment. Quite far uptown, so while walkable to Central Park and museums, we needed to taxi or Uber to midtown and downtown attractions. The furnishings and beds were very comfortable, with quality linens. We also appreciated having a full kitchen so we could prepare breakfast and reheat leftovers. The owner, JT, was attentive, helpful and very responsive. Overall, a great experience in a wonderful city!
Roomy and Comfortable
This apartment has lots of room, a big kitchen, and is one block from the subway. (102nd St. stop) There are two large bedrooms with closets, dressers, and plenty of room for your luggage. JT is an excellent host- he greeted us early so we could leave our bags. He answered all of our questions and gave us a quick low-down on the neighborhood eats, coffee place, subway, and also assured us if we needed to contact him at any time, to please do so. My sister and I were able to walk to Central Park, as it isn't too far away. Frenchy's coffee across the street is the best - no need to make your own coffee, but if you wanted to, there are plenty of coffee supplies in the kitchen! I would stay here again. Thanks JT :))
Thanks to JT for genially hosting our stay. We'd love to return to Manhattan and stay in this space again!
Spring in NYC
Had a great stay at this apartment on the Upper Eastside/Harlem. Right near the subway so we were able to get everywhere easily. The unit was right off of Lexington and was close to restaurants, shops, and a nice grocery store. The host, JT, is a great guy and very accommodating to our schedule. We had no problems in the neighborhood so don't be put off by the word "Harlem". Do yourself a favor and save some money by staying here; you'll need the money for eating and shopping!
Convenient and cozy stay
JT was very helpful. Our flight got in super early and he allowed us to drop our luggage in the place. Thanks JT. The rooms are very spacious and I made meals in the well equipped kitchen. I loved El Aguila down the street and My NY bakery a couple blocks away.
