About Colin Philippe
Still in my forties, I enjoy travelling and meeting different people and culture. I am keen on history , architecture, sports but also food and wine. This is why I left Brussels to settle in Provence twenty years ago. I love to share this fascinating city with people.

Very nice location, wonderful host, well equipped apartment
The apartment is on the second floor on a very quiet Street, near restaurants, grocery, shopping, bakery, etc. It is also close to a bus stop which runs to a free parking lot if you have a car . Most Avignon attractions or within walking distance .
Philippe provided suggestions for day trips which proved to be quite enjoyable.
This was our first VRBO experience, and was overall quite positive.
Lovely apartment; gracious host
My wife and I rented this lovely 1 bedroom apartment a very short walking distance from the Palais des Papes. It is exactly as pictured in the photographs. Avignon is a wonderful and picturesque little city that is the perfect home base for traveling throughout southwestern France. Philippe, the owner, is mentioned many times in all of the reviews of this apartment and the glowing words are all true. He picked us up and delivered us back to the train station at the beginning and end of our stay. When we arrived, after dropping our bags at the apartment, he took us on a walking tour of the neighborhood and made sure we knew where we could buy groceries, get coffee, etc. He also gave us several excellent restaurant recommendations. In short, he couldn't have been nicer or more gracious. We had a great time in Avignon and all of Provence and I heartily recommend this apartment to anyone visiting the area.
Very good position
The apartment in the old part of Avignon was near to all popular tourist attractions. All necessary shops were nearby. The apartment was well equipped with everything you could need. Phillipe was kind enough to pick us up and return us to the station. He took us around the local area showing us all of interest, we appreciated it very much. I recommend it.
Comfortable, well-equipped and good position
The apartment was excellent - very comfortable beds and well equipped. We especially liked the area around it - off the tourist track, around the corner from a lovely square with good restaurants and a flea market on Sunday morning. The street was quiet and we could walk everywhere. It is also very close to a free parkng area just outside the city walls. Our host, Philippe was great - he picked us up from the TGV station and gave us lots of information and showed us around. We would highly recommend this place.
My husband and I just returned from a trip to Avignon. As I read over the previous reviews about this wonderful apartment, I don't know what is left to be said. The apartment is delightful, clean, well equipped and well appointed. All you need for a cozy stay in an incredible city that is rich in history and charm. The location of the apartment is ideal in every way. Quiet street yet just a couple minutes walk to the city center. Philippe could not have been a better host to us. He was more than accommodating, including a walking tour, and transfers to and from the train station. If your plans in France include Avignon, (and they should) a stay at this apartment would be the icing on the cake.
A Fabulous Apartment
We stayed at the apartment for 5 nights this October. Located in a very old building on a narrow, cobbled street within the city walls, it combines the best of the old and new. You climb a narrow, winding stone staircase to access the apartment and emerge into a space that is beautifully and thoughtfully designed in terms of color, lighting, quality of furnishings and creative use of space -- a really classy place. The owner, Philippe, has paid attention to every detail. While some rental units have cheap or flimsy kitchen supplies, bedding and towels, everything in this apartment was of high quality-and very clean. As guests, we felt that Philippe wanted to make sure we had what we needed and that the space was both comfortable and aesthetically pleasing. We both suffer some back pain; because of this we are sensitive to the quality of the bed when we travel. We appreciated the excellent mattress and were pain-free during our stay.
We loved the location of this apartment. It was easy to walk everywhere within the walls as well as to the free parking for our rental car just outside the walls. Finally, what makes this place so special beyond the space itself is a host who welcomes you, takes the time to orient you, and is available to help if you need him. This was so helpful to us. With this booking, you will get a unique and lovely apartment plus a terrific host. Go for it--you'll be glad you did.
