About the property

Cozy 1910 Bungalow, 2 bd, 2 bth, TV room, (sleeps 6)

Walking distance to fantastic coffee shops, restaurants, a great tap room and a fantastic park for kids, this house is a great place to get away and see the sights of Hood River. Although there is no spectacular view, the quiet neighborhood makes a great place to get that much needed rest before hitting the waterfront, mountain or wineries. The house is set up with a bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and living space on the first level. The basement offers a small bedroom, bathroom and TV room with room to stretch out. Want a place to store your toys? We have a small secure shed for your bikes, boards, ski's, kites or whatever items you don't want in your way in the house. In addition, two parking spots are designated for this home right in front for easy access.

About Kate & Ryan Garrison

We are huge fans of Hood River and we couldn't pass up the opportunity to share a vacation home with you all. In July, 2012, we purchased this home and remodeled much of the inside to meet the needs of a cozy vacation home. Having a place to stay in Hood River has been a dream of ours for quite some time. Ryan and I (Kate) grew up in Southern Oregon, attended a small high school, Glide High, and made our way to Oregon State University. As high school sweethearts, we married during college and began our busy life together. We now reside in Beaverton Oregon and are enjoying our new family life as first time parents.

Kate & Ryan Garrison purchased this bungalow in 2012

Why Kate & Ryan Garrison chose Mt. Hood, The Gorge

Why rent this property? If you are looking for a quiet, cozy home with all the home-like amenities, this is your kind of rental. The character that comes with a 1910 house is also enjoyable.

What makes this bungalow unique

Unique benefits to this house include secure external storage for toys of most sizes, easy parking, walking distance to fantastic coffee and bakery shop and the potential to bring your whole family and rent the home located behind this home. See 'C' Street Retreat (listing 305195) for availability. We share a common yard and their place is perfect to rent the two together for a large gathering.

Great house, great location, great town!

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time at C Street Bungalow on our recent visit. We had never been to Hood River before and were delighted with the town. The house was great--our two kids took over the basement as their space. We didn't do a whole lot of cooking while there, but the kitchen was decently stocked it seemed. The a/c unit in the living room was definitely a nice touch as it was pretty warm while we were there. The yard was fantastic, too. It was nice having picnic tables out there and such a large outdoor space. We live in AZ, so getting to be outside in July without roasting was fantastic. There were a lot of great places within walking distance, Pine Street Bakery was probably our favorite. I think we went three times during our three night stay! We would definitely stay in this house again if we ever find ourselves back in Hood River.

Loved this place!

  • 4 of 5

Loved this place overall for girls trip! Everything is ikea and well stocked kitchen

Only complaint is floors are creaky so you will wake up people below if you get up before them ;(

Is close to a few things which is nice (yummy taqueria!) and a drive into town. Or you can take a cab but not to impressed with the cabs. No uber there! ;( wish there was one.

Favorites in hood river were the best westerns restaurant patio has great view! And 3rivers grill yummy food and view and loved Mt. Hood winery.

Quiet neighborhood; family-friendly; well-appointed

  • 5 of 5

This is a wonderful house, nicely restored and very well appointed. The neighborhood is very quiet and you are only a couple of blocks from several great restaurants and a short drive to grocery, etc. The beds are very comfortable. The kitchen has everything you need in case you want to cook. Great laundry facilities. With a living space, bedroom and bath on each level you can be as separate as you like. Park your shoes at the door, the original floors are beautiful and have been lovingly refinished. Can't wait to come back. This house is at the front of the lot and there are two others behind it so if you have a larger group you could try to secure all three.

family friendly

  • 5 of 5

our stay in hood river was great. the house was very family friendly. it had lots of extra things to make our little one comfortable like a highchair, pack and play, books and toys. it is also within walking distance of the local pool, which was great for warming up in the cold weather. the cozy bungalow felt spacious because the layout was well thought out.

  • 5 of 5

if you are looking for a get away in a quiet neighborhood and want a well appointed house where you can relax in front of a TV, go sightseeing, play in the water or mountains, or barbecue a great meal, this is the place to be. We appreciated the kitchen that had everything needed to prepare meals and a comfortable bed in a room with air conditioning. We will be back again as soon as possible!
