About the property

Lic# 445 -- Cozy 1910 Bungalow, 2 bd, 2 bth, TV room, (sleeps 6)

Walking distance to fantastic coffee shops, restaurants, a great tap room and a fantastic park for kids, this house is a great place to get away and see the sights of Hood River. Although there is no spectacular view, the quiet neighborhood makes a great place to get that much needed rest before hitting the waterfront, mountain or wineries. The house is set up with a bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and living space on the first level. The basement offers a small bedroom, bathroom and TV room with room to stretch out. Want a place to store your toys? We have a small secure shed for your bikes, boards, ski's, kites or whatever items you don't want in your way in the house. In addition, two parking spots are designated for this home right in front for easy access.

About Kate & Ryan Garrison

We are huge fans of Hood River and we couldn't pass up the opportunity to share a vacation home with you all. In July, 2012, we purchased this home and remodeled much of the inside to meet the needs of a cozy vacation home. Having a place to stay in Hood River has been a dream of ours for quite some time. Ryan and I (Kate) grew up in Southern Oregon, attended a small high school, Glide High, and made our way to Oregon State University. As high school sweethearts, we married during college and began our busy life together. We now reside in Beaverton Oregon and are enjoying our new family life as first time parents.

Why Kate & Ryan Garrison chose Hood River

Why rent this property? If you are looking for a quiet, cozy home with all the home-like amenities, this is your kind of rental. The character that comes with a 1910 house is also enjoyable.

What makes this bungalow unique

Unique benefits to this house include secure external storage for toys of most sizes, easy parking, walking distance to fantastic coffee and bakery shop and the potential to bring your whole family and rent the home located behind this home. See 'C' Street Retreat (listing 305195) for availability. We share a common yard and their place is perfect to rent the two together for a large gathering.

Cozy but not crowded.

  • 5 of 5

My wife and teen-aged daughter and I stayed at the C-Street bungalow during our stay in Hood River over spring break. We found the house to be well furnished, clean and very comfortable - a great place to return to after spending the day hiking in the rain. We were concerned that it might be too small but it actually felt much bigger on the inside and we never felt cramped. We will definitely stay here again on our next trip to Hood River.

A perfect stay. Loved this cottage. Love Hood River.

  • 5 of 5

This is a great place to stay! Great communication from the owners. Clean, well equipped home. Perfect for a family of four and could even have accommodated a couple more kids. Great location just a mile from old downtown and just a few blocks from a great little coffee shop. Will definitely return here for another family getaway.

Delightful cottage!

  • 5 of 5

Looks deceptively small from the outside, but with the lower level it's actually roomy, well-laid-out, and offers lots of privacy for all. Well-equipped throughout. The owners were very responsive when we had a question. We'll definitely be back!

One minor caveat--it would have been useful to have instructions for the various electronics and heating system.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your review of our place. We fully agree with the heating system and have purchased a new Nest to replace it. Sorry it was complicated. Come again!

Cute place, pretty comfy for the 3 of us.

  • 4 of 5

The floor could have been cleaner, popcorn under chairs, crumbs and peels here and there. Also, paper towel and Kleenex have been provided in other rentals. Other than that, very comfy and convenient. Beds were nice.

Owner's Response: Hi Chicagoland, I am sorry about the cleanliness not being up to par. We appreciate your feedback and will all chat about making sure everything is spotless. We do provide paper towels and kleenex, so I am sorry it wasn't set out. I know we had 10+ supply of each in our open storage shed, but it should have been readily available. We did have an emergency just before you arrived and had help cleaning our house from someone that might not have been as familiar with our procedures. I hope you enjoyed your visit and we will be sure to provide a polished 1910 Bungalow. Cheers, Kate & Ryan

perfect accommodation for 3 nights in Hood River

  • 5 of 5

Clean, tidy and cheerful rental property in Hood River. Located in a quiet neighborhood in West Hood River. Easy access to stores and restaurants. Kitchen is fully equipped for preparing meals which was appreciated. It was pretty warm outside, but the downstairs stayed nice and cool and there is a portable air conditioner that works well upstairs. Beds were both very comfortable. All in all a great place to stay!!
