240 Moosehead is a special vacation rental, a nicely furnished 3-bedroom house, set in a private location near the beach. Although the house supports an open floor plan it also allows you to find a quiet place for reading or enjoying nature. From a cozy living room with a freestanding fireplace, a pool table and large screen TV to a quiet loft, overlooking the creek, there is something for everyone.

240 Moosehead floor plan: First floor - (2) bedrooms (one queen and two twin beds), bathroom, kitchen and living area. Second floor - (1) bedroom (one queen bed), bathroom, pool table, large screen TV, and sitting room. Bonus Loft - a tranquil spot for reading, meditating. The pet friendly, fenced, backyard has the perfect deck for entertaining or just hanging around and enjoying the sun. There is also an outside hot & cold shower to rinse the sand off after a great day at the beach.

Driveway parking is provided for two cars with unlimited street parking.

240 Moosehead is just a short walk to the beach on a flat, limited traffic street. The house overlooks the meandering Aptos Creek as it flows to the ocean. A variety of waterfowl can be seen as you walk along creek side.

Rio del Mar beach is noted for its clean white sand and well maintained comfort stations

You can take the mile long surf trail, straddling Rio del Mar Beach and Seacliff Beach. It allows for a leisurely stroll or a more energetic run. Remember to bring your 4-footed friends along.

The area offers an eclectic mix of eateries all within a short distance of 240 Moosehead.

Nearby activities include beachcombing along miles of the uninterrupted Monterey Bay shoreline, kayaking and wildlife viewing at Elkhorn Slough, hiking and mountain biking at Nisene Marks State Park, theatre at UCSC Shakespeare Santa Cruz, the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk, world famous Monterey Bay Aquarium and golfing at Seascape Golf Club.

Not updated but comfortable and great fun with the pool table

We enjoyed our stay. The kitchen is fairly well equipped with great knives. It is not the most soundproof when walking around second floor.

Fantastic location!

This is a very spacious home close to the beach. Our kids (13 year olds) loved being able to walk to the beach and town on their own. We all appreciated the pool table and various comfy places to hang out.

The beds were comfortable and the home is well appointed.

The downstairs tub and upstairs shower could use work, but didn't outweigh all of the other fantastic things the home has to offer.

My only concern is the early checkout time (10am). We were able to have a later checkout since noone was coming in on our checkout day, but it would have been very hard to get out at 10 if that wasn't available.
