Pets, children, and families are welcome in this recently remodeled home.
With a playground right next door, this home is the perfect vacation rental for families with children. The fenced yard provides plenty of room for small dogs (under 40 lbs/18 kg), and the Field Open Space is right down the street.
Just .5 miles from Highway 36, this house is far enough from the highway that you don't hear noise, but close enough to be convenient. Only 20 minutes from Boulder, 30 minutes to Denver, and just 35 minutes from Denver International Airport.
The large backyard has a covered patio and natural gas grill perfect for relaxing in Colorado's beautiful evenings.
Heather, Jesse, Aspen and Orion
Hi my name is Jesse. I was born in Boulder, Colorado. I met my wife at the Boulder Reservoir 18 years ago. We were married in Broomfield in 2003. We moved the Tucson for work in 2006. Since moving to Tucson we have added two small dogs, Chester and Eddy, and two small children, Aspen of 3 yrs and Orion of 2.
Becky Shultz purchased this house in 2011
My mother and sister still live in the Boulder area as do many lifelong friends of both Heather and myself. We bought the house as a second home so we could visit family and keep the kids near Grandma. This house provides a perfect anchor for us to enjoy all the best features of Colorado such as the Indian Peaks Recreation Area, multiple golf courses within a 15 minute drive, shopping at the local farmers market (seasonal). Also there are number of fine grocery stores close by including Sprouts and Whole Foods. My wife and I firmly believe that the best food you can get comes from the home, so the property is has a well-appointed kitchen, but if you do want to go out you have many excellent choices in the neighborhood or quick drive and you are find yourself in Denver or Boulder.
The views from the porch are just gorgeous! I love how close it is to Boulder and Denver. The natural gas grill is always ready to go.
Everything was great; the house was very nice even for our dogs which loved the fenced in yard. The community was enjoyable as well. Great BBQ at Old Main and Heidi’s Deli was yummy too. The Discount Tire treated us great and snuck us in to fix our tire issue we had on the way. We will definitely consider this place again!!!
Amy, Tony and the furry kids
This property was one of the best we ever stayed at. Great size for our big family and pet friendly. I couldn't of ask for a better place to stay. And everything you need was in the house. And appliances had a instructions. That was the best.w hen we come down again we will see if we could stay there again. Thank you for a great stay
We loved staying at this home in Broomfield. We were in town for a wedding with the whole family (two adults, two kids under 3) and this home was perfect for all of us. The home is very clean and has everything you need for your stay, including even laundry detergent! Both the patio and the living room are stocked with tons of toys for the kids to use, even a little kids swimming pool outside which our little ones loved since it was in the 90's during our stay. The bedrooms are a good size and all the linens are newer and clean and plenty of pillows and blankets. The bathrooms are very nice and the hot water is HOT, which is also nice. The kitchen is stocked with all the cooking utensils/items that you need to cook. The pots and pans are getting a little worn (the teflon is getting scraped off) apparently other guests don't know that you can't use metal utensils on them. There is a dishwasher that works great and plenty of dishwasher detergent. There is no air conditioning but each room has a fan and we did utilize the swamp cooler each night but if you open up all the windows at night the house cools down with night time mountain air. We absolutely loved the back patio, we ate every meal on the back patio! My wife and I really enjoyed sitting out back having a cup of coffee in the morning while the kids played and having cocktail in the evening while the sun went down. Also as a bonus there is a playground right behind the house, and there is a gate in the fence and you can walk right over to it. Its a very nice park with lots of stuff for the kids to climb on and play with, and disc golf! Lots of restaurants, walgreens, walmart, etc are within 10min from the house which was very convenient. We loved staying here and we will be back the next time we come to Colorado to visit friends. We already can't wait for the next time we get to relax on the back patio.
We (3 adults, 3 teens) thoroughly enjoyed our stay on W. 6th Ave. The house is very accurately described here and had everything we needed. It's not a luxury property with high-end finishes, so if you need that, look elsewhere. But if you want a welcoming, homey, comfortable, and well-appointed place to stay, look no further -- we had EVERYTHING we could possibly need for our stay, and noted the kid toys and pet bowls: truly kid-and pet-friendly.
We loved the location -- the gate from the backyard to the park/playground behind got a lot of use, and we were only 1-½ blocks from our family so their kids and ours could walk back and forth. We would definitely recommend as a comfy home base for exploring the Denver/Boulder area, and we will look to stay here again when we are next visiting family. Very near groceries, drug stores, restaurants, 20 minutes from Boulder or Denver -- very centrally located.
The only negative I can offer is that we had little confusion over the front door code, but Becky was immediately available to talk with me and we worked through it -- and that was the only hiccup in an excellent 4-day stay. Highly recommend!
This home was very big, close to several cities, big back yard and clean.
This home was so comfortable, clean and so kid friendly! It was stocked with everything we needed! I highly recommend this home!
My family and I enjoyed our week's stay. It was nice having a clean, "home" away from home to go to each night. Becky had the place well-stocked, etc. My kids liked playing in the backyard as well as the park right behind the house. We were gone for most of the days because there was so much we wanted to get in during our visit, so we primarily used the house at night, but it was a very comfortable place to stay. It was a little hot because the house does not have air conditioning, but the evenings were pleasant and we just slept with the windows open. Also, there were fans in each room, and that made for a good sleep. There is a "swamp cooler" available, but we didn't know how to use it. We could have called Becky to ask (she was always available and very helpful for anything we did call about), but we just decided it was OK with the windows and fans. Great location. East to get to and from when bopping all around to see the many sights Colorado has to offer. We would certainly consider staying at this property again!
