A lovely cottage in a beautiful setting

  • 5 of 5

We felt right at home. We loved the mountains & spending time on the front porch watching the fireflies dance through the night. The lake was beautiful. We felt safe & secure in this great gated community.

Perfect for 2-4 / Walk to your Heart's Content

  • 5 of 5

We stayed while looking at properties to purchase. We had 4 adults. Plenty of room in the home, and all amenities you could ask for. Two bathrooms allowed each couple a bit of privacy. Hot water never ran out. Walk to the Dam! Walk to the Marina! Walk to the pond, the tennis court, the basketball court. Try your hand at fishing! Then, eat at either Brothers or the Rib Country restaurants. The fried apple pie at Rib Country is the best. The Bishops are wonderful hosts, allowing you to use almost everything in their home. Relax with a movie or on the screened porch. We'll be back :-)

charming cottage

  • 4 of 5

Had a great stay at the cottage owned by the Bishops.Even though it was in a gated community it was peaceful and quiet. The sunsets were amazing. The cottage itself felt very homey and comfortable. One of our favorite places to go is Rib Country in Blairsville,Ga.They have the best ribs around.Another great place to visit is the town of Blue Ridge. There are many shops and restaurants to visit. The Bishops are very nice people and I would recommend their cottage to anyone looking for a quiet, relaxing vacation.

Sister's Weekend

  • 5 of 5

My two sisters and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay in your cabin. The house was clean, comfortable and fully stocked. The beds are super comfortable as well. The area around Bear Paw is beautiful and shopping in historic Murphy was delightful. Thanks so much for sharing your mountain home with us.

Located in the gated community of Bear Paw, at the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains, you will have a relaxing and fun vacation. Our cottage is a great place for making memories with friends and family. We have two bedrooms with queen size beds, 2 baths, satellite TV/DVD/VCR with library of movies, most anything you would want for a great getaway. Enjoy the crisp mountain air sitting on the screened front porch or open deck while enjoying the mountain scenery and your favorite drink. We have ample parking with a driveway to park your boat trailer. If antiques and great food are on your list of things to do you can take a short drive and visit downtown Murphy, NC or with a 40 minute drive you can visit the historic town of Blue Ridge, GA. Mountain View Marina (full service marina ) is only 1/4 mile by road from our home to access beautiful Lake Hiwassee. With a boat ramp, rentals for boats and slips, boating supplies, snacks and drinks, you will have all you need to spend the day playing in the lake or fishing for the big catch. A large swimming pool, pavilion and tennis court are an easy walk from the cabin. We are an easy drive and located 2 hrs north of Atlanta, GA, 2 hrs from Chattanooga, TN. We think you will love our cottage and will want to come back time after time. We look forward to helping you to have a wonderful vacation.
