1 Bedroom, 1 Bath Facing St. Charles Avenue

Spacious, fully furnished condo on the streetcar line and parade route. The condo features 1 bedroom with queen size bed and lots of light from windows opening onto St. Charles. We recently opened two more windows in the bedroom and converted the closet in to a reading nook. There is also a very comfortable queen size Front Gate airbed available.

Across the street from Fresh Market and several nice restaurants and bars are within walking distance.

***Very Important, Please Read***

This condo is located in small, 10 unit, condo complex directly on St. Charles Ave. As noted above it's directly on the streetcar lined with a stop in front of the condo. The condo bedroom faces St. Charles and has 3 windows that open on to the street. There will be street noise, this is a vibrant city and there may be street musicians playing out front at any given time. If noise is a problem this may not be the place for you unless you bring earplugs. We LOVE everything about it, especially the sound of the streetcar and the sax player on the street but realize this is not for everyone.

My husband and I moved from Atlanta to Gulf Shores, AL in 2013. He is from Pittsburgh and I moved from New Orleans to Atlanta. We like to spend time in New Orleans and since moving to the Gulf Coast it's much easier. We love sharing our condo with new and old friends and family. We only ask that you respect our condo and neighbors.

Why Bonnie King chose Central City/Garden District

This is our second condo purchase in New Orleans; the first was in 2001 but flooded during Katrina. We remodeled and sold it a few years ago. Since that time we have missed having our own place here and in many ways regretted the decision to sell.

We purchased this condo because it's beautiful, it's on St. Charles Ave and has everything we could possibly need. The character of the building and the unique flavor of the neighborhood make this a perfect choice for us.

What makes this condo unique

There are many unique benefits to our condo; the location is perfect, the 100 year old building make it special, the swimming pool is refreshing on those hot summer days. Fresh Market being across the street is so convenient and the food selections are awesome. Wine bars and restaurants within walking distance and the convenience of the streetcar as well as the close proximity to Magazine Street make this a perfect place for us and we hope the same will be true for our guests.

beautiful second floor condo on the avenue

Location, location, location! This property is on the historic St. Charles Avenue street car line. If you are 65 or older you can ride for only 40 cents. You can ride uptown and downtown. You can transfer to another street car line that can take you to City Park or to the back of the French Quarter. If you have a car, there is a gas station across the street, and it's open 24/7. The Fresh Market, two banks, Superior Grill, and drug store are all within easy walking distance. The owner is extremely accommodating. Beth Johnson

Great Location, Exceptional Property!

The property was fantastic. It was very clean and comfortable. We loved the location. It was located on the trolley line and right close to a trolley stop. We were worried that we would hear it all night and it would be loud. After the first couple of hours we forgot it was even there. We were looking for a nice restaurant to celebrate our wedding anniversary and Bonnie recommended some place lovely and very romantic. We were worried about parking as well but were able to park extremely close and had zero issues with parking. This location also is very close to a nice grocery and drugstore. Couldn't have asked for a better location. The building was quiet and the neighbors kept to themselves. The kitchen is updated and while I didn't cook, it would have been easy to do so in this space. We did make coffee and hot tea one morning with our tasty baked goods from the grocery store. When we go back to New Orleans we will stay here again! Thanks Bonnie! We loved it and left you a gift to go with your collection on the fridge! our contribution to your "places" collection.

Glad to have found this gem!

I am so glad that we found Bonnie and her wonderful gem of a condo. We had an amazing time! There is a wonderful wine bar right across the street that we enjoyed and look forward to going back to. With the trolley stop being right in front of the condo you couldn't have easier access to all the sites! This does make noise all night long. If you are a light sleeper like me, bring your ear plugs and you will sleep like the dead. I wouldn't stay anywhere else in NOLA. This was our first time using VRBO and we feel we lucked out with Bonnie. So happy to have a new friend in New Orleans!

Great stay in NOLA.

The condo was exactly as described. Clean. Comfortable. Great location. The stores nearby made it easy to get supplies and the trolley stop right outside the door made it super simple to get back and forth from the French Quarter action. There was street noise, but it wasn't too bad during the important sleeping hours. Highly recommend this condo and owner and will be returning!

Great NOLA Getaway!!!!

Geat condo perfectly located on the St. Charles streetcar line......making it easy to get to the French Quarter and around the Garden district......loved exploring Magazine street...in our many trips to NOLA we haven't been to that area!!! Condo is well stocked with all we needed. Very comfortable and nice view out to St Charles st......we didn't notice the street noise and actually enjoyed hearing some street musicians when we opened the window. A big plus was having the pool ....a hard to find amenity in New Orleans. Grocery one block away and rite aid right next door ....super convenient:-). We will definitely be back!!!!! Thanks Bonnie

St. Charles condo

This condo was exactly as pictured. It was located exactly in the area we were wanting to be in. The convenience to the street car, Fresh Market being across the street, and a lot of great restaraunts within walking distance.

Streetcar stops directly in front of building so it's an easy ride into downtown, riverfront area and the French Quarter. Magazine Street is a few blocks and filled with antique shops, restaurants, coffee shops and bars. The National World War II (D-Day) Museum is a must see and is less than 2 miles away. Audubon Park Zoo is 3 miles away and riding the streetcar up St. Charles Ave to see the beautiful homes is a wonderful way to spend some time.
