Our family lives through out the southeast with three of my siblings living in the area. My family loves the low country.
Jean Wolf Smith purchased this condo in 2009
We love the low country and the Habersham Community has everything my family needs to have a relaxing vacation.
We love to escape to the flat, once there, everything you need is in walking or biking distance. Sunsets on the river are amazing. Bikes on back patio for your use.
Your condo is absolutely beautiful. We are looking forward to spending the next 2 weeks here. The furnishings are done with such good taste and the accent pieces are lovely and so interesting. You have forgotten nothing to assure that your guests have a wonderful visit.
Love to stay at Habersham. It's a time of relaxing and enjoy the beautiful nature of low country. Close to Charleston, Savannah and Hilton Head. Wonderful shopping and restaurants close by. The nice thing some days we don't want to leave. Fish, picnic and bicycle all day. Everything you need is in this condo.
We had the pleasure of enjoying a fabulous week in this very comfortable rental immediately following Hurricane Matthew. You would never know such a devastating storm had struck the region. The spotless accommodations featured in this unit are more than comfortable. From the furnishings to the decor and the complete kitchen we truly felt as though we were home. Habersham was unknown to us. How surprised we were to find this idyllic community of charming homes all within walking distance of a village and several restaurants. The delightful town of Beaufort and its many sights and restaurants is just 20 minutes away.
Jean has thought of every detail to make travelers feel right at home in her home, more than is described online. She was a pleasure to deal with throughout the process and the trying times created by the hurricane. We are frequent VRBO renters and highly recommend this special place. You will not be disappointed!
Even though the weather decided not to cooperate with us, we had a wonderful getaway from the cacophony of Manhattan. The condo was delightfully furnished and comfortable. It was near enough to some tasty restaurants to be convenient, but far enough removed to have a relaxing adventure.
My unit was wonderful and beautiful, Jean and Eileen are great and awesome people. great unit to stay in. Love it Love It Love it!!! Hope to stay there next year.
We were looking for a rental arrangement for a two month period in the same area where we were building our house - both for convenience and the ability to get to know the area. Not only did this property 'fit the bill' in that regard, but was wonderfully appointed and quiet. It was just what we hoped we would find for this two month period. Both Jean and Eileen were excellent to work with and provided all the information we needed both prior to and during our stay. We would certainly recommend this property to those interested in a stay in Beaufort!
My husband and I just returned from spending a month at 6 Abby Row. The condo is exactly as described. It is beautifully decorated and feels more like a home than a vacation rental. We fell in love with the Habersham community. It is the quintessential southern town with beautiful homes and parks. Both Jean and Eileen were easy to work with and very willing to offer recommendations for restaurants and activities. This the perfect getaway, a great condo in a wonderful community. We hope to return!!
The history of Beaufort, South Carolina, is one of the most comprehensive and diverse of any community of its size in the United States. The area had been subject to numerous European explorations and several aborted attempts at colonization before the British successfully founded the city in 1711, the second-oldest in South Carolina (behind Charleston). The city initially grew slowly, subject to numerous attacks from Native Americans before flourishing as a center for shipbuilding and later as the aristocratic center for the Lowcountry plantation economy up through the Civil War. Though decimated by a declining economy and natural disasters, the community rebounded in the later half of the 20th century and is today recognized as one of the most livable small towns in the country. Beaufort has retained much of its historic character through its renowned architecture and historic preservation efforts.
