About Craig or Mary Brownlee

We grew up in Oroville and graduated from Oroville HS but now live in Wenatchee, WA. We have returned to Oroville and Lake Osoyoos each year where we spend most summer weekends with our children and now grandchildren. Lake Osoyoos has provided our family with a wealth of memories thru the years.

Craig or Mary Brownlee purchased this house in 2012

Why Craig or Mary Brownlee chose Oroville

This is a charming home built in 1930. The location is spectacular, with views of the lake, and yet private. You have the option of lounging on the deck and reading a book or plunging in the warm waters of Lake Osoyoos for a swim. Water sports are right outside your door. A perfect place for your vacation with family or friends

What makes this house unique

This is one of the older homes on the lake, circa 1930, and still sits on a large lot, 1 acre with 200 feet of private lake frontage. The home is beautiful from the lake, surrounded by large trees that provide summer shade, in a tranquil setting. A perfect 'get away' place.

Beautiful property, no surprises, thoroughly enjoyable...we'll be back!

  • 5 of 5

We had the opportunity to enjoy this property in mid August 2017. Family of 6 - lots of room, property was well appointed and arrival instructions and on-site manual ensured our stay allowed us to explore the beautiful property, interesting local low-key area and the lake. Not much more to share - very well earned 5 stars!

Very nice stay! Beautiful lake front property with great hiking nearby.

  • 4 of 5

The house was roomy with a well equipped kitchen and outdoor grill. The area was very quiet in the evening and had less boat traffic during the day than I expected. The deck was great for sitting in the shade in the late afternoon to enjoy a beverage and a view of the lake. The swim platform was perfect for swimming and sunning. We were a small group but this would be a perfect place for a family gathering. I would have liked a little more AC upstairs but hey, that's summer in the Okanagan! Only a few minutes drive to Oroville for all grocery needs. We recommend the Pastime Bar & Grill and Rancho Grande for lunch in Oroville.

Perfect lakefront location!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at this peaceful vacation home for 1 week and thoroughly enjoyed our time. The home is clean, spacious, very well equipped and comfortable. It is located close to the small town of Oroville (try Pastime Bar and Grill), and the lakefront setting couldn't be better. Perched up on a grassy slope, we sat for hours admiring the gorgeous views and sunsets. The house is surrounded by mature trees, which kept the deck cool even on the hottest days. The kids spent hours swimming in the warm lake. The owners were a pleasure to deal with. We hope to spend another week here next summer!

Relax and Enjoy

  • 5 of 5

We spent a week in this charming farm house. Our entire family had a great time - kids, dog, and adults! The beds were comfy, plenty of towels, and the kitchen was well stocked with supplies. The owner, Craig, was great in ensuring our stay was comfortable and we had everything we needed.

The lake is awesome! Despite a couple of cooler than average days in June, the water is warm and was perfect for fishing, boating, kayaking, floating, swimming, etc.

The town of Oroville is quiet, small town and not a tourist destination. There is a well stocked grocery store. While we spent most of our days relaxing by the lake, we ventured out a bit. A nearby neighbor has a blueberry and raspberry u-pick which was fun and delicious. We enjoyed a day trip to Molson, a ghost town nearby. And we found that the town of Osoyoos in Canada has more tourist type attractions.

Lake Osoyoos is a well kept secret!

great, relaxing time with friends

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time at the Oroville house. Its right on the water and has a big yard for dogs and kids to play in. A large front deck overlooking the lake is great for dinners and morning coffee. The view is spectacular with the mountains on the other side of the water and sunsets are especially beautiful. The house is well stocked and has everything you would expect. The only thing that was a bit of a disappointment was there is no beach or sandy area for little kids to play in the water. There are rocks at the water edge which of course are necessary to hold the yard.
