About the property

4 bedroom, 2 bathroom, 2 story home in private lakefront setting

The house is located on a 1 acre property with 200 feet of lakefront in a quiet cove on Lake Osoyoos. There is a full kitchen with direct access to a large deck that faces the lake, perfect setting for your morning coffee, lounging and afternoon or evening barbecue and dining. Living room and dining room with views of the lake. The house sits on a knoll with a huge lawn leading down to the lake, the setting provides a commanding view of the lake and Cascade foothills to the West. 1 bathroom and 1 bedroom downstairs. 3 bedrooms upstairs with a full bath upstairs. The Master bedroom is upstairs with lake views. This is a quaint older home, rich with character, in picturesque setting surrounded by mature trees. We have been updating with the upstairs freshly painted and new flooring. Queen size beds in 2 bedrooms, 1 bedroom with twin beds and 1 bedroom with bunk beds, towels and linens.

There are 2 improved boat launches in Oroville. We have an 'Otter Island' swim platform and there is a buoy to secure a boat, (the swim platform and buoy will be pulled out of the lake around the 1st of Sept).

About Craig or Mary Brownlee

We grew up in Oroville and graduated from Oroville HS but now live in Wenatchee, WA. We have returned to Oroville and Lake Osoyoos each year where we spend most summer weekends with our children and now grandchildren. Lake Osoyoos has provided our family with a wealth of memories thru the years.

Craig or Mary Brownlee purchased this house in 2012

Why Craig or Mary Brownlee chose North Central Cascades

This is a charming home built in 1930. The location is spectacular, with views of the lake, and yet private. You have the option of lounging on the deck and reading a book or plunging in the warm waters of Lake Osoyoos for a swim. Water sports are right outside your door. A perfect place for your vacation with family or friends

What makes this house unique

This is one of the older homes on the lake, circa 1930, and still sits on a large lot, 1 acre with 200 feet of private lake frontage. The home is beautiful from the lake, surrounded by large trees that provide summer shade, in a tranquil setting. A perfect 'get away' place.

Perfect lakefront location!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at this peaceful vacation home for 1 week and thoroughly enjoyed our time. The home is clean, spacious, very well equipped and comfortable. It is located close to the small town of Oroville (try Pastime Bar and Grill), and the lakefront setting couldn't be better. Perched up on a grassy slope, we sat for hours admiring the gorgeous views and sunsets. The house is surrounded by mature trees, which kept the deck cool even on the hottest days. The kids spent hours swimming in the warm lake. The owners were a pleasure to deal with. We hope to spend another week here next summer!

Relax and Enjoy

  • 5 of 5

We spent a week in this charming farm house. Our entire family had a great time - kids, dog, and adults! The beds were comfy, plenty of towels, and the kitchen was well stocked with supplies. The owner, Craig, was great in ensuring our stay was comfortable and we had everything we needed.

The lake is awesome! Despite a couple of cooler than average days in June, the water is warm and was perfect for fishing, boating, kayaking, floating, swimming, etc.

The town of Oroville is quiet, small town and not a tourist destination. There is a well stocked grocery store. While we spent most of our days relaxing by the lake, we ventured out a bit. A nearby neighbor has a blueberry and raspberry u-pick which was fun and delicious. We enjoyed a day trip to Molson, a ghost town nearby. And we found that the town of Osoyoos in Canada has more tourist type attractions.

Lake Osoyoos is a well kept secret!

great, relaxing time with friends

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time at the Oroville house. Its right on the water and has a big yard for dogs and kids to play in. A large front deck overlooking the lake is great for dinners and morning coffee. The view is spectacular with the mountains on the other side of the water and sunsets are especially beautiful. The house is well stocked and has everything you would expect. The only thing that was a bit of a disappointment was there is no beach or sandy area for little kids to play in the water. There are rocks at the water edge which of course are necessary to hold the yard.

Really nice property and house

  • 5 of 5

The house is really comfortable and has a nice layout. We had four adults and a dog. We spent most of our time out on the rear deck overlooking the lake and hanging out on the floating swimming dock. There is not a lot going on in Oroville so don't expect anything from the town. Per the Owner's recommendation we had a fun daytrip to check out the ghost town in Molson, WA. The lake is warm, views are nice and house is comfortable. We are hoping to go back next year.

Lakefront lover

  • 5 of 5

This house was fantastic as usual. Games and movies for kids and adults, comfortable beds, lots of towels, well stocked with what you would expect. This is our second time at this house. Kitchen has room to put your groceries away and lots of dishes. The owners are top notch, make sure you are comfortable and are very nice people to work with. Houses are on each side and super quite. This has privacy, lakefront, swimming dock. Can't say enough good things about it. We love this place.

Awesome vacation

  • 5 of 5

My husband & I celebrated our 38th anniversary here.We spent almost 2 weeks at this beautiful older home. It was everything and more than described. The setting on the lake made for beautiful sunsets. We couldn't believe how quiet it was.I'm sure it would be alot busier and noiser during the summer. We had a little culture shock at first with no TV, but quickly discovered NetFlix and enjoyed watching documentaries, and old forgotten TV shows.Everything was in the house that we could possibly have wanted. The beds were super comfortable. And the kitchen...what can I say.We always stay a VBOR and my biggest complaint is there's no where to store our food. Not here, there was a great cupboard that held all our goodies for the 2 weeks we were there. And on my birthday/Christmas list is the wonderful cookware. It made it almost fun to cook.Thank you to the wonderful owners. So easy to work with. We hope to return often. The nearby town of Oroville was also a treat.I couldn't stay out of the local grocery/dept store.
