One of the best characteristics of New Orleans is the great walking traffic, and this location does not disappoint. St. Claude St. (1.5 blocks from the home) conveniently links the historic French Quarter with the Bywater area and is lined with the revived St. Roch Market, Sweet Lorraine's Jazz Club, and St. Claude's numerous bars and restaurants that offer something for everyone.
In this neighborhood you will enjoy an authentic New Orleans experience complete with our famous neighborhood mascots. Following Hurricane Katrina, a small flock of chickens settled in the area and have become a locally-shared treasure. You will hear their occasional crow throughout the day and see them roaming down the streets or across the yards. Just in case, we provide noise cancelling fans in each bedroom for those sleep-in mornings with earplugs as an additional option, but in the end they only add to the local charm.
The location provides on street parking (no permit needed). The St. Claude streetcar line is 1.5 blocks away from which you can travel to the French Quarter, Warehouse District, and Garden District. Two cruiser bikes are provided for guests' use, and bike lanes line St. Claude in both directions.
