Why Denise Carriveau chose East Central

This lakeside retreat was built in 1951 on a 290 foot lake front lot. The main house was 2300 square feet on the ground level with a full walk out basement and finished 'attic'. They had a 2 car detached garage with an upstairs 1 bedroom apartment for the caretaker. Next to the garage was their 2 bedroom guest house. The entire complex was featured in Better Homes & Gardens magazine in the early 1950's. In 1959 the property was divided and sold. The main house was closed up tight with no one spending a night there for over 10 years. The guest house went through a succession of owners. I purchased the guest house in 2010 and spoke to the owners of the main house and bought that in 2011. So late in 2011 the original estate was reunited. When I bought the beach house it was basically unchanged since the early 50's. With fresh paint, new siding and insulation, new windows, carpets removed, new plumbing and heating, updated appliances, and new furniture the home has been transformed. It is once again a lovely lakeside retreat. I love this area as I came and vacationed here all my life. I have family members who also own cottages in the area and it is a great place to be. The beaches, the lake and people in this area are wonderful and unique.

What makes this estate unique

The main level offers a 17 x 21 sun room which adjoins the living room. Leading out from the french doors is a 10 x 20 lakefront deck that offers the most breathtaking views from all angles. Almost every room from this level offers lake views that change by the hour! The lower level has an enclosed sun porch for the perfect place to drink your morning cup of coffee, read, or look at the spectacular views. The backyard (road side) is like being in the woods with all the pine trees and green grass. The lake is just steps out your front door and easily accessible. You have the best of both worlds; woods and the beach/lake!

Beautiful home, spacious and comfortable

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed our stay at this home there were plenty of beds for everyone. The house is very spacious and everyone found a place for a little privacy. The views of the lake were awesome and we enjoyed several beautiful sunsets. Our visit was a little windy and chilly so we didn't walk the beach, but it looked inviting. Nice big kitchen and dining room for games and cards. Lots of big windows for watching the water. Our host was very pleasant and we enjoyed our week.

Beautiful property, perfect for large groups

  • 5 of 5

After a few days of searching for a venue for a guys weekend to celebrate our friends upcoming wedding, we stumbled upon the Caseville beach house. The home had everything we were looking for. Plenty of room for a large group of guys, a fun lounge/bar area, incredible views of Lake Huron, natural looking sandy beach with a large firepit just a few feet from the water. The property was very well maintained with exceptional landscaping. The rooms and living areas were extremely inviting and comfortable. Nothing beats waking up to the sun pouring into the master bedroom and then enjoying a cup of coffee out the balcony porch off the spacious sun room. It was a little chilly the weekend we were up, but that didn't stop us from enjoying some yard games. The property manager Denise was extremely friendly and helpful (we had talked quite a bit leading up to our arrival and was easily reached with any questions we had once we were settled in) The house is only a few minutes drive from downtown Caseville, where we had dinner at the Riverside Roadhouse. It had a good mix of visitors and locals and had the kind of relaxed atmosphere we were looking for. I would definitely recommend this property and area to anyone looking for a relaxing vacation for a large group of people.

Wonderful vacation home, in a perfect location!

  • 5 of 5

We have spent a few days in this pristine location. We were a party of twelve, 3 families with young children and we had a wonderful time. The house is simply beautiful, very spacious and clean, fully equipped with everything we needed for a perfect getaway. The beach is at doorsteps and the sunsets/sunrises were memorable. The property manager,Denise, was very helpful and provided best assistance with the reservation.

We would gladly return, since everybody fell in love with this place!

(Much Needed) Girls Get-away Weekend!

  • 5 of 5

When your sister is getting married, and most friends are already married with children, you want to relax, get away, and unwind.

The property was all of that and so much more! I planned the weekend as an "all inclusive" where I provided all of the food and drink. With 2 full kitchens, 2 full refrigerators, and more space that we could imagine, I think many of the guests will be stealing my idea in the near future!

The dining room facing the water was perfect for our "elegant" steak dinner (that I cooked on the provided grill), there was enough beds to sleep all 14 of us, and the basement bar was by far the favorite hot spot for Friday night to kickoff our festivities.

Beyond the "fun" of the weekend with the gals, the view from just about every room in the house was just breath taking. While there we witness sun, rain, hail, and even some water spouts out over the water! So incredible to see.

And then there is the beauty inside; a remote control fireplace, immaculately clean, and having all supplies/amenities available was just amazing.

5+ stars for sure, can't wait to go back!

Five stars!

  • 5 of 5

So this was a return visit to this lovely home and just as wonderful as last year. Everything in pristine condition and comfortable. Discovered Amish store in caseville for eggs and raspberries, kayaking the Pinnebog River, yoga on the beach and good food at The Stock Pot in Port Austin. Next year the Petroglyphs and Octagon Barn.
