Great house made for a great vacation !!!
We had a wonderful experience. The house was beautiful and decorated nicely. Had everything we needed in the kitchen. It's a little far to walk to the beach, so we drove each day, but we didn't mind at all. There is a Five Guys on the corner, so we HAD to visit that a few times. Thank you for a nice week.

Nice place just needs a few additions
This house was clean and very roomy. The one downfall is only one tv not in main living room. The furniture is futons in that room. It was hard for the older people to use. Also lighting is limited in living room dining room and family room.
Beautiful House, but not enough "stuff"
I loved the house. It was beautiful and we had a great time. It was easy to drive most of the way to the beach and find parking, and there was even a 7-11 on the corner by the beach. However, there was no can opener, no strainer, no pot big enough for spaghetti, or corn on the cob. There was no bottle opener and no extra blankets. If we stay there again I will be bringing stuff for the kitchen as though it was empty... but I WOULD consider staying there again. It was lovely in every other way.
Spacious and relatively new-looking, in quiet neighborhood, property mgt co was a problem
I would rent this house again, however the property management company was not responsive. The cold + hot water spigots on the outdoor sand shower were not working - as if they were still turned off from winter. I was there in early August. Presumably everyone else who had stayed there thru June-July-Aug could not take sand showers either - and this is a house in Ocean City with beaches. The property management company cheerfully told me they'd send someone right out to turn on the water (under the crawl space?) - and no one ever did. All but one of the trash cans in the house had trash in them from the previous tenants, and the main granite counter top had an area of what appeared to be syrup on it. The shower/tub in the master bedroom was filthy when we arrived. I had to clean it to take a shower, and then I discovered the water was backing up due to slow drain. They also said they'd send someone right out, and no one came and they never called me back. Each shower taken meant dirty soapy water rising to your ankles. The furnace filter (visible in the hallway) was clogged and had been installed back on April 17th - I was there on Aug 7th. It was caved in from the fan pressure trying to pull air thru it. That is a long time for a filter to be neglected. This was the ONLY issue that the property management partially resolved - I came home one evening to discover a new filter stuck in between the front storm door and main door. I had to install it myself. There was dog poop in the side yard likely from one of the previous tenants. This property allowed one dog, which was nice, however thru the entire Homeaway rental process it was never disclosed that we needed to also pay a very large non-refundable pet deposit. I only discovered that when I called the property management company directly to ask a different question. There was a small lamp that was broken (the on/off switch). Most likely a hanging lamp used to be above the dining room table but was missing, leaving an open electrical mounting box high above it on the vaulted ceiling. Some light over that table was needed. At least one living room wall power outlet cover was missing - not safe if you have small children. Kitchen utensils could use an upgrade - only the bare necessities there. Good appliances - fridge, washer/dryer. Just beware that the prop mgt company will pretend to listen and sound sincere, but after you hang up the phone they will do nothing. Not even call back to check.

August is the highest rental occupancy time of the year and due to the high volume of maintenance calls received we must schedule the calls based on priority (AC or major appliance outages, leaks, etc move to the top of the list.)
