About Vacasa, OR - Central Oregon Office

Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers.

Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wife’s family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental management—things like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a website—could be handled by a specialized central support team.

Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this home—our team is standing by!

I'd stay here in the winter when the windows can remain closed. The trains weren't a big deal during the day, but they disrupted our sleep every night.

Beware the train

  • 3 of 5

Honest review, the home was perfect. Bedrooms were a bit small but for the price it was a perfect fit for 2 parents/2 kids. The living room / kitchen was really spacious and worked out great for lounging around when not out exploring. The hot tub was clean and updated and we enjoyed the back deck for a dinner or two.

The biggest issue that isn't very clearly stated when renting this house is just how close the train is. It's about 30 feet from the tracks to the back wall of the house and when the train comes by it rattles the walls. If this only happened during the day it would be fine but it happened more often than not at night and it wasn't consistent, one night it was 3am, the next midnight, the next 1am. Somehow the kids slept through it but the wife and I struggled getting a full nights sleep. The house was great. The train, not so much. Knowing the area better we'd probably pick a house a bit farther from the tracks next time.

Roomy Comfy Home

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here during Thanksgiving week and enjoyed the house very much. The kitchen has a ton of counter space which was very handy for preparing and serving a Thanksgiving meal. The wood stove worked great and kept the house nice and warm. The furniture was very comfy, house was very clean and beds were comfortable as well. Others have mentioned the train passing close by, right behind the house and it is pretty loud. It did disturb my sleep, however, others fell right back to sleep and was not a problem. The train seemed to pass twice a day, very early morning and late evening, so just a heads up. We really enjoyed our stay, just about a mile and half away from the restaurants and shopping center.

Wonderful Stay

  • 5 of 5

The house was conveniently located; it was a short distance to the village and the lodge! The house was clean - only missing oven mitts and cleaning stuff to wipe down the counters (we just used paper towels). The hot tub did have a few issues, but Vacasa was able to quickly fix the issue each time. We did know upon arrival that we would be close to the train tracks - it wasn't a huge issue. Overall, it was a great stay and we would definitely stay here again.

Gorgeous home!

Beautiful home but would have liked to be informed on the train right next to the house. Woke us up several times at night. But other that that had a great time and home was beautiful and clean.
