There are three patios, two of which open into the main living area. There are over 20 places to eat within a 1/4 of a mile, with plenty of convenience stores nearby. The historic, bustling center of town is only a comfortable fifteen minute walk.

The location of the property was perfect to enjoy the local flare of the beautiful city - a pleasant walk to the City Center and all local shops and restaurants. Our rooms, bathrooms and kitchen and living space was comfortable, giving you the feeling of being in the local culture with the design elements. While staying at this lovely home, you felt that you were in the center of all of San Miguel, but at the same time you felt you were in a private oasis.
Delightful Guadiana Casa
We had a great one-month stay at this casa. The location is perfect - Guadiana is a lovely, quiet neighborhood that is close to Parque Juarez and many restaurants, shops and stores (Casa Feliz, with the best granola, Mercado Sano, one of SMA's organic markets), and is within easy walking distance of the Jardin. The home itself is spacious, extremely functional, and very well-appointed and equipped. The floorpan is especially nice for couples - three upstairs bedrooms (two with king beds and ensuite bathrooms) with good separation. Peggy and her manager Benjamin were responsive and easy to work with. We would definitely recommend the casa to friends.
Great location, great house, great value!
We stayed in this house in July and August of 2016 while we were deciding whether or not to move to SMA and again in December while we were waiting for our furniture to arrive for our house. This is a great house. First of all the house manager greats you and takes care of you while you are there. He was even kind enough to stock the house with some basic food and drinks to get us through the first days (have to have coffee the first morning!). The kitchen is more than fantastic for a rental. It's as good or possibly better than home. It is fully stocked with lots of great dinnerware, glassware, pots, pans, serving pieces, storage containers and every utensil you could need. You could easily entertain as many people as you want. It has a dishwasher which is not always the case here.
There are 4 bedrooms as listed, two of which as masters. One has a fireplace, separate dressing room and bathroom. There are screens on all upstairs windows for those great cool nights. There are flat screen TVs and DVD players in both masters as well as in the living room. Peggy provides very nice linens which can be difficult to find in most rentals.
The house is located in oneinf the best areas of SMA, Guadiana. It is a beautiful, clean, safe and charming area. One and a half blocks down is my favorite park - Guadiana Park. We had 2 dogs and they loved it and we met SO many nice neighbors in the park and along the street.
Taxis are easily found on the street or 2 blocks down on the Ancha. There are some great restaurants close by and it is an easy 15 minute walk to the centro. At the end of the street is the Saturday Organic Market. That same venue, Mercado Sano is open 7 days a week with small vendors selling, produce, organic meat, quiches, sausages, coffee, tea, cheeses, desserts and personal natural beauty products - all top of the line.
Also close by is the historic Instituto Allende which offers top notch Spanish classes and art classes.
We have visited her many times and after years of researching rental properties I found this house to a great value for the house, its size and location. It's a can't miss!
after having lived in san miguel for five years and returning to visit often i know what areas to avoid and those to choose when deciding to rent ..... this house is located in guadiana which is a prime location ..... safe, little to no noise, easy walk to the jardin or to the public bus lines and taxis and best of all close to many restaurants ..... the property manager meets you at arrival and provides for all your needs and the maid will takes of your clothes and the house ..... i highly recommend staying in this very lovely house .....
I heartily recommend 30 Guadiana for anyone looking to relax in a quiet neighborhood but still be close to the center of town and all the action. The owner makes sure you have all the comforts of home. It's the perfect spot for your San Miguel vacation!
I arrived with my family on Sunday for my first trip to San Miguel. We were greeted by the property manager, who greatly helped to orientate us regarding the operations of the house. We immediately felt comfortable in the casual elegance of this charming place. The 2 verandas were fantastic for late night dinners and morning coffee. The appointments in the bedrooms and bathrooms ( sheets and towels) were excellent, as was the cleaning. The kitchen has everything you would expect in a US kitchen, including a dishwasher and microwave. All the comforts of home, which is great for entertaining...or hiding away. This little magical spot is in a beautiful neighborhood, which is walking distance from the main square. And...it has WI-FI too!
This home is located in the beautiful and desirable Guadiana neighborhood, one block from the Parque Guadiana, and is a 5 minute walk to restaurants, bars, shopping, and the Instituto Allende. The center of town is a level 15 minute walk. The home is 20 minute cab ride to the famous "La Gruta" hot springs.
Additional information about rental rates
Rate subject to the number of guests at the house. Rates quoted are for a maximum of 4 adults. If Tenant is unable to take possession of the property under the terms of this contract, and cancels up to 30 days prior to the contract, $500 will be forfeited and additional money received will be returned to Tenant within 21 days. If Tenant cancels within 30 days prior to this contract Landlord will not be obligated to return any additional payment made unless able to re-book the reserved time with another client.
