About the property

Condo, 1 Bedroom, 1 Bath (Sleeps 2-4)

This one story condo is located in the heart of Historic downtown Wilmington. Our condo is in the Masonic Building once owned by Dennis Hopper, circa 1897. If you are coming to Wilmington to enjoy dinner, theater, shopping, pubs and relaxing then our condo is the perfect fit. The condo is located in the heart of downtown Wilmington surrounded by restaurants, bars and shopping! If you are coming to Wilmington to work, this is the perfect location to settle into and be close to everything downtown has to offer and close to work. A new owner has recently taken over the 5th floor and there is a theater up there that they do comedy performances a rooftop bar only open Fri and Sat. They used to be called City State and the Level 5 but now it's called Rooftop at N Front Theater. A fun place to check out on the weekends!

Some history about the Masonic Building: It was once owned by Dennis Hopper, and is a beautiful Art Deco Masterpiece. It was built in the 1800s and is a resurrected mainstay in our downtown community. The building sits on Front St. next to our friendly Front St. Brewery Neighbor.

While walking around our historic town, you are sure to see our filming industry crew filming famous movies, mini series and commercials. You never know when you will run into stars who are continually filming in our Historic downtown locations. You can take a romantic carriage ride, only a 1/2 block away, eat at our many waterfront restaurants, take a ghost pub crawl tour, rent a Segway, or simply stroll the streets and enjoy the incredible atmosphere. 1 block away on the water you can take a lovely boat cruise sipping on cocktails and enjoying the sunset. We love our beautiful 'East Coast Hollywood' downtown and want you to enjoy all it has to offer.

We look forward to having you stay with us on your next visit to Historic Downtown Wilmington!

About Leila

Upon moving to North Carolina in 1989, I knew I found what I will always call 'Home'. I fell in love with NC and Wilmington quickly became my favorite town to visit. I relocated to Wilmington 7 years ago and work in the tourism industry. My passion is to promote tourism and that led me to purchase a couple downtown Wilmington condos so I can share my passion with visitors who choose to stay with us. On my free time, I enjoy fishing, running, going to the beach and of course enjoying our lovely downtown Historic District. I love calling Wilmington my home and want to share what Wilmington has to offer with you!

My other condos are 457612 and 494789(this one is in the same building, 457612 is a 1/2 block away)

Leila purchased this condo in 2012

Why Leila chose Wilmington

I purchased this condo and another condo a block away because I truly fell in love with Wilmington. It's got everything a large town has but with that small cozy town feeling. I LOVE being here, eating at our water front restaurants, our shops, watching movies being filmed and our lively night life. This is a close knit community and we all take care of each other. I feel so lucky to be a part of the vibrant and beautiful downtown scene.

What makes this condo unique

I fell in love with this condo because it's in the heart of downtown Historic Wilmington, in the Historic Masonic Building, now known as Level 5. It has the original hardwoods, original windows and pretty river views. Everything you can possibly want to do downtown, is all right out your front door literally. It's so convenient and I fell in love with the condo immediately.

This Location is Perfection!

  • 5 of 5

I booked this spot for a girls weekend. This was the first time my two friends had ever been to Wilmington. I used to live in Wilmington and knew that if they were going to truly experience what Wilmington had to offer, then we would spend our days on the beach and our afternoons and evenings in downtown. This location allowed us to walk just one short flight of steps down to the main level and blend with the hustle and bustle. Downtown Wilmington is such a beautiful place to visit. We loved this location because it was in a PRIME spot. If you are a light sleeper, then you may want to bring noise canceling headphones because you will hear music and other visitors downtown. However, that never bothered us. Our host was quick to respond to all of our inquiries and was most pleasant to work with. We will be back!

Great Downtown Condo!!!

  • 5 of 5

Booked this condo for a birthday weekend and we loved it. We wanted a downtown condo close to everything and it was perfect. The owner was very prompt with answering our emails and she sent us tons of recommendations for bars and restaurants. If you are thinking about a quiet night in, then I would book else where. This is a place where you can walk to bars and come back late to crash. We parked our car in a garage across the street and didn't it use it the entire weekend. Great decorations, comfortable bed, and very clean. I would definitely book this place again.

terrific apartment perfectly located in the center of historic downtown Wilmington.

  • 4 of 5

The owner is extremely helpful. The unit has everything you need. The location was great. There is downtown noise at night, to be expected, and not really an issue.

We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Best place to stay in Wilmington!

  • 5 of 5

I stayed for four nights in this lovely apartment and had a great visit in Wilmington. I'm a super picky traveller and usually stay at four star hotels. Unfortunately the hotels were about $300 a night so I'm glad that I was able to find this apartment! It is a perfect location... right in the middle of everything. You can walk everywhere you'd want to! The street noise that everyone is complaining about is something I contributed to, so I have no complaints. Just stay out late and make new friends! There is a bar/theater on the top floor of this building, but being on the second floor means I never heard any of the foot traffic. Check in was easy and I never saw the owners, or needed to. The apartment is quite big and well taken care of. I immediately felt comfortable the moment I walked in. My friends were staying in a nearby rental and it wasn't as big or nice as this one. I kind of felt guilty since they are a couple and they were pretty cramped in their place, and I had this whole big apartment to myself. The only things I'll say are that the massage chair was a vibrating chair. I was expecting rotating balls to kneed my aching back, but it kind of just shakes. Also, there technically is a riverview but only from certain windows and hidden behind some buildings. Still, none of it mattered since I was out of the apartment exploring the city the whole time. My only regret is not having more time inside to enjoy the apartment! As long as the upkeep stays the same, I would definitely recommend this apartment, and hope to stay again soon!

Loved the location and the owner was fantastic!

  • 4 of 5

Be prepared for the noise from the bars but the location far outweighed the annoyance. The owner was easy to work with and gave great tips on the area. I have now downloaded a White Noise App and will book again next year in this very comfortable condo.

Great condo - prime location!

  • 5 of 5

What a great place! Nice open floor plan. Very comfortable furniture, (loved the massage chair)! Nicely decorated. Location is prime. Right in the heart of everything. Layla was a pleasure to deal with and was more than helpful in making our Wilmington stay a blast! Look forward to staying here again. Our 2 smallish dogs were very comfortable here as well.
