About the property

2br/1ba With Large Fenced Yard Downtown Coeur D'alene

Built in 1916, this cozy cottage has two bedrooms with cushy queen beds and a full futon in the living area. It sleeps 6 comfortably. The bathroom has a deep clawfoot tub to soak in. Our dining nook has benches full of board games to play with the kids or just people who used to be kids. Modern additions include Wi-Fi/PS2 with many games/HDTV/blu-ray player. The large fenced yard has a fire pit to sit around and roast marshmallows or just gaze at the stars. It has a washer and dryer to help clean off the sand from the beach. It is a perfect place to reconnect with your loved ones.

About Diana Nottage

I grew up in Coeur d'Alene and I bought this house when I was a single girl. I have added a husband and two kids since then but our little house has been a home to nieces and brothers since. I brought my first baby home here and my my niece recently added twin girls to the lists of babies who have crawled around on its floors.

Diana Nottage purchased this cottage in 1999

Why Diana Nottage chose Coeur d'Alene

This cozy corner cottage caught my eye nestled under its arching oak trees. It is bright and airy and so close to everthing going on downtown. It is only blocks away from all the local restauraunts, city beach and Tubbs Hill. The grocery store is right across the street so it is perfect for that midnight ice cream run. The large fenced yard is private and perfect for summer parties or just a quiet night gazing at the stars.

What makes this cottage unique

Summer in Coeur d'Alene: There is nothing better than waking up in a bright cheery room then soaking in a deep tub sipping your tea. Then maybe taking a stroll downtown, getting a 'bowl of soul' from Java, checking out 'The Shops', grabbing a Hudsons Hamburger to go and hiking up Tubbs for a swim on a beach with no one else there. Later in the afternoon you can bike down to the city park to see which band is playing or catch a play at Summer Theater. Walking down brightly lit Sherman and people watching is always an interesting past time or maybe a romantic stroll around the boardwalk to finish up the evening. Don't forget to stop by the resort for a 'Gooeys'

We enjoyed our stay in this older house in Coeur d'Alene.

  • 4 of 5

We stayed in the house in Coeur d' Alene over the Christmas holidays. It is an older, comfortable house, across the street from a major grocery store and a short walk to downtown (1O blocks). It is a very good value when compared to the local hotels and met the needs of our family of 4. We will consider renting the house again when we return.

This little house is in a perfect location to everything Couer d Alane has to offer. Quick drive to freeway exits, shopping and great restaurants. The little house is like going home to grandmas.

Charming Little Cottage In great location.

Comfortable, cozy cottage with a nice kitchen, beautiful bathroom, clean and very nice bedding. We had great meals, played games, and enjoyed a weekend away as a family. Easily slept four adults. Very nice stay.
