A historic coastal-style cottage that has been tastefully restored and expanded in West Cape May. This 3 BR/2 BA home is positioned to maintain privacy and is within minutes of downtown Cape May and its beaches.

Classic architectural characteristics include: cedar clapboard siding, slate pathways, natural landscaping, interior plantation shutters and hardwood flooring.

The first level offers a living room with a vaulted ceiling, a closet in the main hallway, a master bedroom with walk-in closet, and a tiled bathroom. The kitchen has a center-island and the dining room has a unique coffered ceiling. Both rooms offer French doors that lead to the 3-season screened/glassed solarium.

The second level incorporates two bedrooms (with built-in wall units), a bathroom and a closet in the hallway.

Interior amenities include natural gas forced hot air heat, central air conditioning, ceiling fans and skylights.

Exterior amenities include an outdoor shower, storage shed guests, private rear yard and stone driveway for off-street parking.

About Owner / Property Manager

We have visited Cape May for the last 12 years with our 2 boys. We started out at the camp grounds, then rented a house and most recently stayed in hotels on Beach Avenue. Each year we talked about how wonderful it would be to have a little piece of Cape May to call our own. This is a second home for us, not an investment property. We enjoy Cape May and love what every season brings. We have decided to make our home available to others so that you too, can enjoy all that Cape May has to offer.

Why Owner / Property Manager chose Cape May

This house is tastefully decorated with all of the comforts of home. There are an abundance of windows making this a bright and sunny home. Our 3 season Solarium allows you to enjoy the outdoors with complete privacy (compliments of the surrounding bamboo). Enjoy your morning coffee/tea while you enjoy a book/newspaper in a wicker rocking chair. There is no better way to start your day.

What makes this house unique

We have beach tags available for our guests to use. The shed is available for our guests to store bikes, beach gear and/or surf boards.

Various paper products are available for your convenience (toilet paper, tissues & paper towels).

The Kitchen is stocked with various panry items (spices, condiments, saran wrap, foil, baggies etc.) - we just ask that items depleted are replaced.

A fitness center and Health/Beauty Spa are within a block.

Our Week at Hurley House

My family spent a wonderful week at the Hurley House. The house was beautiful and in a peaceful, quiet neighborhood. We were in walking distance to the Promenade excellent restaurants Ugly Mug and Delaney's. I would also recommend Panico's, the food was fantastic. I would definitely recommend staying here, and hope to return again. The house was centrally located to all Cape May had to offer.

Beautiful house in great location!

We had a wonderful week at the Hurley House (July 2017). Beautiful, clean house with all of the amenities our small family needed. We walked to the beach, promenade and restaurants every day (a little bit of a walk but we enjoyed it - with bikes it would have been a complete breeze, maybe when our kids are a little older!). We highly recommend the house - the kitchen was great, there were games and books for the kids, the AC worked great, and the owners provided little things like hand soap, paper towels, toilet paper, and some kitchen staples which were really appreciated. Our only comment would be the lack of channels on the TV (we only used the master bedroom TV). It seemed like there was no cable? That might be something future guests would want to know. In any case, a minor thing that did not detract from the amazing week we had in Cape May - we hope to return again!

Will stay at the Hurley House again

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Hurley House. It's nicely decorated and was well-stocked with everything we needed during our week in Cape May. It's in a quiet neighborhood...a little off the beaten path...but close enough to the beach and Washington St that we could be there in a couple of minutes by car...and walk-able/bike-able if you're up for a little exercise. There are great restaurants nearby (recommend Panico's which is really close)and Willow Creek winery is only about a mile away (they had a dinner & comedy event during our visit). We definitely recommend the Hurley House as a great home-base for enjoying all that Cape May has to offer.

Perfect in every way

Spotless home that showed the owner had put thought into what might be needed, helpful, or fun during a stay away. The fenced yard gave our toddler grandson a place to roam but be safe and our teenage daughter loved having her own TV. The home is close enough to the beach and shops to walk or bike ride. We will definitely rent this again on our next visit to Cape May.

Great location

This house is clean and in walking distance to pretty much anywhere you'd want to go. Everything is under a mile away. There is also a nice selection of games for those rainy days. I'd definitely recommend this house! We had 2 families with children ages 8-13 and it was perfect.

Owner's Response: Rain is usually unexpected and unwelcomed while on vacation. I'm glad the games were enjoyed. We tried to have something for everyone, that's why guest will also find books and DVDs to choose from.
