Welcome to the Bitterroot Lake House. We are excited to share our home with you. We are located on beautiful Bitterroot Lake about twenty miles west of Kalispell, Montana. This lake is approximately 3000 acres and is known for its lack of boat traffic and great fishing. It has unique areas for fishing and is also an excellent water sports lake. We do have both a dock and a boat lift for your use. A public boat ramp is just a short distance from the house. Our frontage is shallow and allows for a great place for children to splash and swim in the water.
The home features four spacious bedrooms and three and one-half baths. Three of the bedrooms feature queen sized beds with the master having its own bath. The fourth bedroom in the basement level has three twin beds. Each level of the house also has a full bath. Every room in the home has picturesque view of the lake. There are three distinct living spaces in the home. We have the living room on the main floor, a large TV-media room on the upper floor, and a lounge area in the basement level with a futon available for extra sleeping. This space leads directly out to the yard with the lake beyond. There we feature a hot and cold outdoor shower for those quick rinse-offs after a day on the lake. Also, a fire pit is available for enjoying those beautiful, sometimes cool, Montana evenings and don’t forget the s’mores.
Our home should have all you need for a great stay. The kitchen is equipped with all of the basics you may need. We do provide some staples such as flour, sugar, spices, paper products, and detergents for dishes and laundry. The linens are of nice quality and bath towels and beach towels are provided. There is also a washer and dryer for your use if need be.
Besides the great lake fun you can have, there are a numerous activities for the whole family. You can visit Glacier National Park for hiking, scenic viewing, and animal watching. You can also shop, zipline, whitewater raft, golf, ski, and enjoy many other activities. Any season lends itself to a great stay at this beautiful Bitterroot Lake home.

Greg and I have been married for 27 years. We have five children and one daughter-in-law. Greg grew up in Montana on the prairie, and I grew up in Iowa. Greg's family has farmed for over 100 years. He now farms and works for a gas and oil company. I have learned to be a farmer's wife, and I teach school and chase kids. Our children range in age from 29 to 13. They are wonderful and bring us great joy. We are hoping to share this home with them and their families in the future.
owner/manager purchased this House in 2012
Why owner/manager chose Marion
We fell in love with this house because it just fit us. The home is of our taste in that it is not too flashy and makes us feel comfortable. We love the size, the number of bedrooms, and the extra living spaces so that we can spread out if we want to. The yard, deck, hot tub, and outdoor spaces are great for family fun. We are close to the attractions but away from the all the crowds when we want to be. The lake is great for water fun and can meet the needs for the whole family from fishing, to swimming, to boating and water sports.

Lovely Lakeside Home
This lovely home on Lake Little Bitterroot is spacious, immaculate and contains everything you would need. We enjoyed every aspect of the property, from the beautiful home that easily accommodated our family - 7 adults & 2 small children, to the patio decks, hot tub, swimming, kayaking, fishing off the dock ( caught two 19 inch trout) and using our boat on the lake! Thank you Greg & Trish! We are coming back to make more memories next summer!
Excellent response time in working with Trish (the owner) on figuring out dates and times available. Home is well equipped and extremely well taken care of and clean. All aspects of the home and property were truthfully represented. Beautiful views of the lake with nice dock on the lake. My wife and two children spent a week swimming and using the kayaks and canoe. Good memories. We will be back.
Perfect in every detail
Thanks to the wonderful owners Trish and Greg for a seamless stay on Bitterroot Lake. The house is set up to accommodate for every convenience, from the fully equipped kitchen, to the kayaks, canoe and paddleboat. Worthy of mention is the immaculate condition of the entire house and property. We hope to return!
Awesome once again!
We are a returning group of two young families. We thoroughly enjoyed our second stay. This time the weather was uncooperative for half of our week but we still had a wonderful time as the lake house is so well equipped. First half of week we played in the water making good use of the kayaks and paddle boat. Due to the weather, the last few days of our stay we played games, used the hot tub, and went shopping in Kalispell. Thanks for a great stay. We hope to return again for next summer!
Fantastic Home Away From Home
We had a family trip ages 10 - 82. There were nine people and everyone was comfortable and we all thoroughly enjoyed the home. All the amenities were there for us to cook. The lake is perfect for swimming, kayaking/canoeing. We rented two SUP paddleboards from Kalispell and used them the entire week. Glacier National Park is an easy drive and offers something for everyone. The owners are easy to contact and helpful. We would definitely book the house again.
Our family of 4 (2 adult children) spent 4 days at this house and enjoyed every minute.
Very relaxing with a perfect view of the lake.
The house is very well constructed and laid out - makes you wish you lived in it year round.
Thanks for your great review. We love the lake so much we enjoy sharing it with others when we can.
