Wonderful stay for large family reunion!

  • 5 of 5

My family of 19 (5 separate families) stayed at the Octagon house for a week in July. It was warm and we were very thankful for the central air conditioning! The view was by far our favorite part of the house, the kids loved playing cornhole in the back yard - having the boards there was a big hit! One family stayed in an RV in the parking area - hookups were nearby and offered at a very reasonable rate. We spent a lot of time in Glacier National park and appreciated that it was only about a 10 minute drive to the W Glacier entrance from the house. We also went horseback riding and rafting at places very near the house. Both owners and Shannon, the manager, made themselves very available to us if needed and helped make our trip a great one. Thank you!

Awesome view, and wonderful, friendly owners.

  • 5 of 5

We have stayed in numerous homes, usually with a group between 15 and 20. This house was the best. An awesome view of the river with the mountains in the background. Plenty of room in the kithchen, with all the utensils, pots, and any other item you might need to cook, breakfast, lunch and dinner. 4 of the 6 bedrooms were very large, to where you could really spread your items out. Very nice. Great location...close to Glacier Park, golf, rafting, and even the grocery store was in walking distance. And for a small town, the grocery store had a very good variety. Owners lived next door, and were quite helpful, and very attentive to what ever we might have needed. And again, the view could not have been better. Very large covered deck, which could hold all 15 of us. And it stormed the first nite, and we were able to just sit on the deck and watch it rain. Beds were comfortable. And Shannon, who we booked it with, couldn't have been nicer and helpful. If your group wants to watch TV, there is a small tv downstairs, but we have never been a family to sit in front of a tv when on vacation. It deserves 5 stars and would stay there again if ever in the area.

Wonderful Vacation Home Near Glacier National Park

  • 5 of 5

This home is very well appointed and has all the comforts of home. Its decorating scheme blends perfectly with its surroundings. We had 8 adults and 3 children, and all of us were comfortable and happy with these accommodations. We met the owners who live right next door, and they were more than willing to help us in any way they could. The home was very clean, and linens, towels, TP, Kleenex, kitchen basics, etc. were provided. Best of all was the breathtaking view of the Flathead River from our deck!!

Ideal location for families/friends visiting Glacier National Park

  • 5 of 5

The views and location for this house are terrific. Our family of six ( 4 teenagers) had plenty of room in this large house. There are a number of local grocery stores and some great local dinner spots. The park is 10 minutes away. Whitefish and other trails are also very close by to provide many dining options and alternatives to the park. I highly suggest taking the rope trail down to the river. Good swimming and even better views and hiking along the river. The WIFI handled our IPADs, phones, and computers. This has not been the case at other places we have stayed. Overall a good value with everything you would need for an enjoyable visit.

Great location for exploring Glacier NP

  • 5 of 5

Our group of 6 adults rented this house for a week and we had plenty of extra room (we never even really used the 2nd indoor living area). The view of the river and mountains from the porch is beautiful. It is only a 10 minute drive to the West Glacier entrance and a good base for exploring the area. Our group often rents houses for our vacations and this one was above average on the kitchen set up and amenities (plenty of towels, kleenax, etc). The property manager and owners were very responsive on our requests and when there was an issue with the refrigerator, they took care of it very quickly. For most of the trip we would go out for a hike/fishing/golf in the morning and then spend the afternoon enjoying the view from the back porch. The kitchen was great for cooking breakfast and dinner most nights. There are several restaurants in the area and a couple of good sized grocery stores.
