“Art in the heart of Rome”
This unique loft in the heart of Rome was born from the artistic concept of a roman artist. The antique perfectly melts with the modern. Sculptures, pictures and furnitures are the peculiarity of this big open space of almost 180 square meters/1,940 square feet, composed of a large kitchen, two bathrooms (both with shower), 3 bedrooms (2 double rooms and 1 for three people with a mezzanine floor) and a large living room. The apartment has an autonomous central heating system. There is no air conditioning because its special position on the ground floor makes it cool. The flat also includes a washing machine, a dish washer and free WI FI Internet access. The whole flat is equipped with everything necessary to ensure the comfort of our guests.

Why Valentina D'Ercole chose Rione V Ponte
I used to live in this house with my family. When my parents retired and I went to live alone we moved in different Roman neighbourhoods.
What makes this Apartment unique
This is a perfect apartment for people loving contemporary design solutions merged in an historical location. The combination of antique and contemporary furniture is the cipher of the place. For eyes used to unusual...

This apartment is the total package. From the moment of booking right to leaving everything was smooth and easy. If you want to enjoy Rome book this apartment. It is spacious, funky and in a great location. I would rent it again in a heart beat, also Valentina and Enrica are a delight to deal with.
Unique Place in central Rome
This loft was large and right in the heart of Rome near restaurants, bars and shopping. The owner was very good at correspondence and answered questions we had. She even had a small packet of local information ( restaurants, bars, market and local sites etc.) that was very informative. A real nice touch. I would definitely recommend friends and family to this really unique place.
An absolutely perfect location. Walking distance to everything. And the recommendations from Valentina regarding restaurants and things to do was very helpful.
Roomy, unique apartment wonderfully situated in the center of Rome.
Very interesting apartment—the former work space of an artist with lovely pieces of sculpture all about and interesting architectural features— convenient to many Roman points of interest. Plenty of room for the four of us. The apartment seems to go on and on, with delightful features like the permanent scaffold loft in the living room, the stairway bookcase in one of the bedrooms, and the sleeping lift in another bedroom. My kids loved it. Valentina , the owner, was very helpful with recommendations of restaurants and places to see great art. She also made reservations (restaurants, car service) on our behalf (until I got brave enough to make them myself by phone!). Enrica, who welcomes guests for Valentina, was terrific. She carefully showed us how everything worked in the apartment and also had good suggestions for places to eat. Both of them were always prompt in returning texts and both were very pleasant.
A couple of minor disappointments: the advertising on VRBO shows pictures of a jetted bath tub and something called a sauna shower. Neither the tub nor the sauna existed. I was disappointed as I would have loved to sit in a tub like that after our long walking days when my legs and feet were especially sore.
Apartment is in the first floor and while there is a row of windows and a skylight in the living room, the space does not get a lot of light. This was by no means a problem —kind of made the place cozy— but there is no view to the street.
One last thing: I applaud Rome’s program of trash recycling; however, I thought it a little strange to be asked to deliver the 5 bags of separated refuse to the recycling station two blocks away. Again, not a big deal as it sort of made me feel more Roman and part of the community. Still, it’s sort of an odd request to make of a guest, I thought.
All in all, the apartment was a great place to spend a week in Rome. Maybe we will go back some day.
Thank you for your beautiful review.
I’m sorry you had minor disappointments:
The old picture of the tub was erased and the advertising on the site has been updated.
I have just changed the tub in the last months because all guests prefer shower but I forgot to update the description, my apologies!
However nothing was written about the sauna shower, the description said one bathroom with shower.
About th recycling you are right: we NORMALLY do not ask to throw the bags, especially for a few days, but staying for a week would have meant to keep in the apartment a big amount of trash. Rome is a challenge for Romans, NOW you can really tell to be roman too! After all you speak also Italian very well!!!!
Thank you for choosing my apartment: it was really nice to “talk” to you the whole time through whatsapp.
Have a great day!
Our family loved this place and this space. First off the communication was fast, timely and precise. Valentina helped arrange our transportation from the train station and later back to the airport. The drivers were prompt and courteous. Mrs Enrica met us on the street outside the apartment and showed us in and helped us get settled. The apartment is large, comfortable and very hip space. The bedrooms and bathrooms are comfortable and spacious. The kitchen and common area are also spacious. The location is perfect for walking to Piazza Navona, Campo di Fiori. The local area is jammed with Cafes, shops and restaurants. Even our longer walks of 10-20 minutes easily brought us to The Vatican, The Spanish Steps, The Pantheon, The Trevi Fountain, and The Colosseum. Terrific place.
Great location with plenty of room for the 5 of us. The flat was fun! Very unique and artsy.
Valentina was awesome. She provided us with coffee and biscuits for the morning, she set up transportation for us from and to the airport. A great little neighborhood (safe)with restaurants and shops. The flat is great! May not be well suited for small children as there are lots of steps/ledges along with some nice art pieces. Real showers were great. The kitchen was great. The doors and keys were tricky but, made it fun. We really enjoyed our stay and Valentina's hospitality! We would definitely stay again! No smell of cigarettes or smoke in the flat was awesome.
Live like a Roman in the historical downtown, near some of the city’s most desirable attractions. You’ll be a three minute walk from Navona Square and 10 minutes from both Saint Angel Castle, the Pantheon Temple and Saint Peter Church. Distance walking also from the Spanish steps, the Roman Fore and the Trevi Fountain. You’ll find all around you charming and fashionable shops, typical restaurants, folkloristic markets, many museums, and beautiful Lybrary (such as the Chamber of Deputy one or the House of Literatures). Anything else you might want to get to near or far is easily reachable being so close to every transportation option: a taxi station (this is 1 minute far from the house), city buses, the blue and orange subway lines, and Termini railway station (with the bus terminal to Fiumicino Airport).
