|Minimum Stay||3 nights|
Spend your time relaxing in our guest suite available at one of the most prestigious homes in the town of Pedasi. The guest suite accommodation is completely independent from the rest of the Villa and you will have exclusive use of the swimming pool, terraces and grounds with no other people on the property. We only rent our guest suite when we are not on the property so you have complete privacy.
The guest suite is a very large air conditioned suite with high exposed beam ceilings, queen size imported luxury mattress, 400 thread cotton sheets and luxury surroundings including pool towels. Separate large washroom with rain shower head and separate walk-in closet.
The guest suite comes equipped with bar refrigerator/freezer, desk, coffee maker, micro-wave, mugs, wine glasses and wine opener. There are no cooking facilities within the suite but we have a beautiful outdoor kitchen suitable for small meals. Outdoor dining and a beautiful lounge area under our terrace.
Restaurants are within minutes of the Villa and prices are relatively inexpensive ($5-12 pp). The freezer/fridge is perfect for cheese, cold cuts, milk, cereals, bread and keeping your snacks and beverages within easy reach. We provide utensils, dishes etc.
Wire-less internet is included in the guest suite at no charge.
The property is situated on the ocean front, perfect for whale watching or just watching the ships come and go from the Panama Canal. Locals are all smiles and there is a path to the beach, Playa La Garita.
This is the only property that we are aware of that is located 5 mins from the town of Pedasi (by car) on a paved road that offers nightly beach front accommodation. Please see map and photos for a better idea as to location.
The area is very safe located in a small gated community. Pedasi is a small town located in the Azueros Peninsula known for it's Spanish Colonial quaintness and charm.
There are approx. 20 restaurants, medical clinic, liquor and bakery stores within minutes of the Villa, yet away from the sound of barking dogs, crowing roosters, traffic and loud music.
*** Please note our rental rates include all taxes.
This home was built as a true Spanish Colonial Revival home, an architectural style that was popular between 1915-1933 in North America. Very unique and authentic architectural property just mins from the town of Pedasi. Walk to serene beaches, bicycle into town or enjoy beautiful views and breezes right from your own private terrace and pool.
Location; The town of Pedasi is minutes of the Villa so you have the best of both the town and the seaside location of the Villa.
The arched, covered terraces offer protection from the sun and wonderful views of the ocean, wildlife and also ships heading for the Panama Canal. The privacy, private pool and space location offered by the property is unsurpassed for the price range of this rental. The quality of the home is upscale luxury. Attention to architectural details and high-end finishes.
Quite and beautiful, this is one of my favourite places to stay. Sitting on the recliners by the pool looking at the ocean is a site to behold. We went to town for Dinners, cooked breakfast on the outdoor kitchen and has snacks for lunch which we bought in town and kept in the mini fridge. We will be back!
The bedroom/living area isn't very big, but your outside all day anyways.
You just only stay inside for sleeping as there is a nice covered patio right outside your bedroom next to the swimming pool and only a two minute walk to the ocean.
This house was perfect for us and exactly as described. Bed and room were very comfortable. Shower and bath were great. There is no real kitchen but good for breakfast and drinks. Mostly spent time outside in pool and watching out over the pacific. Really nice. You do need a car.
My wife and I spent our anniversary here last month. If you are looking for a relatively secluded, private place to stay with beachfront access to the Pacific Ocean, there may be no better place to go. The pictures do not adequately prepare you for the unexpected beauty and views this home has. The pool is perfectly place between the apartment and the ocean. With access to the outside lounges, kitchen and grounds there are plenty of places to relax and enjoy the sun, pool and natural beauty. You are in the middle of a residential community, but the homes are spaced out enough that you are not crowded.
The apartment in a 5/10 minute drive from the town of Pedasi. Everything you need is there. The restaurants are high quality and inexpensive by American standard. We thought the small kitchenette was adequate for preparing basic breakfast and lunches. The outside kitchen is available for those that want to cook.
The best resource was the manager Kippy. She lives a few doors down and she was always available for any support. We had a flat tire one day, and she helped arrange for a local Panamanian to fix it for us for $3. What great service! She also gave us tips on Pedasi. I am already planning our next trip!
VRBO pics don’t do the views justice-WOW! Enjoyed direct access/proximity to beach & being outside city, but quick drive to town. Room itself is avg size. Covered outdoor area made it spacious! There's a couch, chairs & dinette.
Canas Zipline:Book direct. Drive (1 hr) & negotiate zip & hike-$55. Std price is $15/pp extra for hike.
Turtle Hatchings: Booked through Pedasi Tours. Hindsight would book w/ Isla Canas Marina. Pedasi Tours-$75/pp w/meal. Marina $60=same tour or $40 w/no meal. Marina is less than 5 min drive from zip. Zip at 3, Fonda on corner-$1 beers & $1.50 ceviche & 6 p.m. turtles. Were told tour would return at 11-12 p.m. Saw 1 turtle hatch & tour over. Back to car approx 9pm. Under impression would spend time looking for multiple turtles, not just find one & done. Marina tour spent several hrs searching & saw 3 turtles. Mother Nature’s in control & may see nothing, but our tour saw 1 & tour over. Req vegetarian meal, but didn't receive.
Playa Garita Turtles:Tour was in “backyard” of Allan’s home w/ Tortugas Pedasi & FREE! Local group that tracks turtles. Didn't see any(again, Mother Nature), but glad we went. Learned alot!
Isla Iguana:Don't book through operator. Go to marina, pay $70/boat divide by #of people (max 6 or 7). Waited 45 min for others to split boat w/. Could have paid $70 for just 2 of us. Island smaller than expected & nearly no shade. Go early.
Yoga studio in town & Sat a.m. class at Andromeda Beach Club-$5. Just around corner from Allan's.
Beaches: Not many swimmable-very rocky, but great walks. Disappointed by Playa Venao. Needs graded, but offered most in way of restaurants, surf board rentals, etc.
Horses: $15. Same tour as Pedasi Tours-$50. Kippy has ph#.
Kippy (house mgr) is great! Always accessible when had ? or needed anything. Provided recommendations for fonda’s/local restaurants. Wish we'd asked about fonda’s earlier in the week. $2.50 for lunch!
GPS: USE GPS!! Google map would not have gotten us there! TripAdvisor warned googlemap was inaccurate in Panama & they're right! $39-bought from panama-gps.com. Invaluable! Best $39 spent!
Night Driving: Last 2 hrs to Pedasi is dark-NO road lights, winding & mostly nothing after dark. If uncomfortable w/ nt driving plan arrival accordingly & watch your gas tank.
The property we stay at is as important as the city/activities. You won't be disappointed!
This property is amazing! Beautiful location, wonderful suite and grounds with pool, made for a fabulous stay. The owner was VERY helpful via email from afar.
This is a very private and romantic getaway within minutes to the town center. A rental car is a must have if you want to explore the area.
Pedasi is a wonderful little town with so many affordable restaurants it doesn't make sense to cook. This property has a beautiful outdoor kitchen though that we never used. We did food shopping for breakfast and lunch and used the mini fridge. In Pedasi, Smiley's restaurant is so fresh, tasty, and cheap. Order the seared tuna with wasabi!
Playa Venao is worth visiting and the Zip Line Canopy Tour in Cañas is epic, it's in a secondary rainforest with monkeys, etc! Make sure to visit Isla Iguana by boat, it's beautiful and full of curious wildlife.
We would definitely stay here again.
Located in a gated, quiet community with security guard.
