Another wonderful vacation on Pickerel Lake! Our family of 10 adults and 6 kids spent a week at the most beautiful and accommodating house on the lake! The owner, Wendy, is easy to work with and is always very prompt in contacting us.

Location, location, location too! You are close to everything that up north offers! 30 minutes will take you to Petoskey and Harbor Springs and don't forget about Mackinaw Island!

We reserved our week for 2017!

What a gem!

  • 5 of 5

You will not be disappointed when renting this beautiful Lakefront home. The home itself is gorgeous, well maintained and has great amentities. You will have to draw straws for the master suite. But we took the room upstairs and enjoyed the privacy. The outdoors are just as fabulous. The home has many porches and seating areas to enjoy along with plenty of comfortable seating. The dock is wonderful and the kids had a great time fishing and swimming. We brought kayaks, but the home comes with two paddle boards and one paddle boat. The water is clean and shallow at the grassey area for access with a nice sandy bottom. We enjoyed the fire pit by the water almost every night. The location is also really great because it is a close drive to many popular destinations like historic Petoskey, antiquing in Pellston, Three Pines Art Studio in Good Hart, Sleeping bear dunes and Mackinaw city, etc. There is so much to do, we can't wait for our next visit! Bring your bikes, you can ride around the neighborhood safely. The only hiccups were the geese that visited twice when we weren't around and messed the lawn. Certainly not the owners fault, but was a bummer. The house has no A/C. It was in the mid-high 80' s during our visit and it was only uncomfortable one night. Our family would definitely recommend this home because you will have a fantastic vacation.

Amazing Vacation Rental!!!

  • 5 of 5

This is a fantastic home to rent. It was everything we expected, and more! The home was clean, and was beautiful inside and out. The kitchen is fully equipped. It even had a cupboard full of spices, coffee, etc. There was plenty of seating for our group of 19 people. The beach is sandy and shallow until you get past the dock, where it gets deeper (and were the fish are!). It made it great for the kids because they had plenty of room to run in the water without worrying! It was deep enough though to anchor an oasis float for the adults! Fishing off of the dock is great. The kids (ages 3-7) got hooked on fishing since they pretty much caught a fish every time they dropped their line. We caught our first longnose gar ever...we had no idea what is was! The dock is new and is U-shaped at the end to allow docking of a boat. The landscape is gorgeous; flowers and greenery perfectly placed. There is a fire pit located near the beach area where we roasted marshmallows and made great memories! If we weren't at the fire pit in the evening, we were playing games on the outdoor table under the covered porch. We traveled the inland waterways through Pickerell Lake to Crooked Lake, up the Crooked River and through the river locks (kids loved it), and into Burt Lake. The house is located close to Mackinaw City/Island. There is a bait store just minutes away for all your fishing and drinking (!) needs. A grocery store is located in Indian River, which is only about 15 minutes away. This home gave us a perfect place to create so many wonderful family memories. The owner, Wendy, is available and willing to answer any questions you may have. She was wonderful! Thank you, Wendy, for sharing your beautiful home with us!!!

Perfect Vacation for our family!

  • 5 of 5

Our family of 16 spent the most delightful week at this incredible home! We walked into a stunning home that was meticulously clean and with awesome decor. There was plenty of room to spend quality time with family or alone time too! The outside is as beautiful as the inside. The description of the home is spot on. The owner, Wendy, is a breeze to work with. We are returning in 2016!

Owner thought of everything!

  • 5 of 5

The owner thought of everything with this home. We rent a lot of homes / condos and it always feel like you are half equipped for your week. Not here! This owner truly wants her guests to feel at home and comfortable. The cottage provides paddleboards, paddleboat, plenty of seating for everyone, a great sandy beach, and just an overall relaxing experience. You will not be dissatisfied!

Beautiful clean enjoyable property. home is set up perfectly for larger groups of people and families. no surprises or disappointments. this was a fun and wonderful stay. Clean beach and lawn made for a super exciting week for children and adults alike. Inside the home is set up wonderfully for dining, resting, talking, or relaxing with a good book. it is a very spacious home with plenty of room for larger groups of people. Fishing was diverse, as we caught bluegill, perch, pike, bass, walleye, and even a gar fish! if fishing is your passion you will need to take your own boat however.
