About Scott Rogers
We are are recently empty-nested and decided to do something different with our lives, and wanted to have our horses at home, thus we purchased Blossom Valley Farm.
Scott Rogers purchased this Cabin in 2011
Why Scott Rogers chose Port Townsend
The first time we drove through the trees and saw the valley and the property, we knew we would live here. The valley is resplendent with wildlife, wetlands, and grasslands, surrounded by forest. We are close to our favorite town on the Olympic Peninsula, the beautiful Puget Sound, and Olympic Mountains, yet still just a short distance to Seattle.
What makes this Cabin unique
Every moment of every day there is a different view and all of them beautiful, rain or shine. We are moments from mountains or Sound. Activities abound; hiking, biking, skiing, snow shoeing, horse back riding, kayaking, fishing, hunting, golf.

Wonderful birdwatching above a wetland. Super cozy cabin with expanse of lawn all about and quiet quiet quiet except for the birdsong and chorus frogs.
This ranks as my favorite vacation rental ever. If you're looking for peace and quiet, this is your place! The little cottage is exceptionally lovely and it's a very comfortable place to hole up, but the setting is even better. I didn't want to do anything but sit in the yard and read, drink wine, and watch the birds. The view across the valley is gorgeous, and there is a constant supply of incredibly entertaining swallows and goldfinches zipping about. There was also a pair of harriers nesting in the cattails whose hunting acrobatics were a real show. The stream and pond built right outside the front door was a popular play place for the finches and and attracted frogs in the evening, while providing a soothing background murmur. There are resident horses and cats and dogs who may put in an occasional appearance but who generally keep to themselves. I think I want to move in permanently.
A beautiful place for a getaway!
We love the hobbit hut! It's close to many things yet secluded and very peaceful
Very nice, private, unique property. We would go again.
Enjoyed our stay here. About 15 minutes from city center. Hosts are on site, but we did not see them. Very responsive to our needs via phone. We had everything we needed to enjoy Port Townsend. very comfortable cottage.
super cute hobbit house!
Very clean and well maintained property! 10min drive to Port Townsend. Everything that you need for you stay is there. We enjoyed being surrounded by the horses, and saw lots of deer in the area. Lots of thinks to do; hiking, wineries, breweries, glass beach, restaurants, live music...so fun!
Beautiful rental property!
One of our favorite places we've stayed! Very clean, quiet, and relaxing. The farm is absolutely beautiful and close to Port Townsend. Would highly recommend this property :)
The cottage, affectionately known as the Hobbit Hut, is located on a working farm just across the valley from the Larry Scott Trail and minutes from the Puget Sound. Come and enjoy year round outdoor activities such as biking, hiking, sailing, boating, and horseback riding. Short-term boarding is available for guests who wish to explore the Olympic Peninsula via horseback.
