About Scott Rogers
We are are recently empty-nested and decided to do something different with our lives, and wanted to have our horses at home, thus we purchased Blossom Valley Farm.
Scott Rogers purchased this Cabin in 2011
Why Scott Rogers chose Port Townsend
The first time we drove through the trees and saw the valley and the property, we knew we would live here. The valley is resplendent with wildlife, wetlands, and grasslands, surrounded by forest. We are close to our favorite town on the Olympic Peninsula, the beautiful Puget Sound, and Olympic Mountains, yet still just a short distance to Seattle.
What makes this Cabin unique
Every moment of every day there is a different view and all of them beautiful, rain or shine. We are moments from mountains or Sound. Activities abound; hiking, biking, skiing, snow shoeing, horse back riding, kayaking, fishing, hunting, golf.
Very cute and quiet!
We enjoyed our stay and thought the little place was perfect for a couple! It is close to the main house but we saw the owner ONCE and that was after I lured the resident Golden Retrievers over for hugs. We highly recommend!
Beautiful, peaceful little getaway.
We had a wonderful time. Cute little home with everything you need, nothing you don’t need. Amazing views, nice people, near town and the PNW Trail. We will be back!
Exceded our expectations ( and we're picky)
Frankly, we don't stay in many short-term owner rentals, in fact this cottage was the only one on a 2 week trip. However, this cottage is exceptional in many ways;
-extremely well built with obvious craftsmanship
-the furnishings are modern, clean and functional
-the setting is terrific
-the owners are wonderful and accommodating
-we loved waking up to a view of horses out the kitchen window
-only minutes from Port Townsend and just off a main highway
-it was a highlight of our trip
Truly peaceful and beautiful
My second stay at Blossom Valley Farm confirmed everything wonderful from my first visit a couple of years ago. The farm and its valley are beautiful, and the guest house is very comfortable and tasteful. No doilies or worn out furniture here, just beautiful wood, a modern kitchen and bathroom, and views to the pond and landscape. The owners are unobtrusive but friendly and take good care of their property. An easy drive to Water Street or Fort Worden, too. Highly recommended.
You could have used more pots and pans to make pasta But over all it was a very lovely stay
Enjoy the quietness and relaxing house
Wonderful birdwatching above a wetland. Super cozy cabin with expanse of lawn all about and quiet quiet quiet except for the birdsong and chorus frogs.
The cottage, affectionately known as the Hobbit Hut, is located on a working farm just across the valley from the Larry Scott Trail and minutes from the Puget Sound. Come and enjoy year round outdoor activities such as biking, hiking, sailing, boating, and horseback riding. Short-term boarding is available for guests who wish to explore the Olympic Peninsula via horseback.
