Overview

About the property

Apartment, 2 Bedrooms + mezzanine, 1 Bath (Sleeps 6)

This bright & spacious 2 bedroom plus mezzanine apartment is perfect for 4 to 6 guests. It is located in a stone building in the Montmartre area at the edge of the Sacré Coeur Garden. It is located close to the “Halles Saint Pierre” a modern art museum as well as a sport center. You will enjoy the “Sacré Coeur garden” at just a stones throw away and the lively spirit of le “marché Saint Pierre” famous in Paris for its fabric shops. A very typical Parisian location.

The apartment basks in natural light, thanks to the full size windows it is endowed with in each and every part of the apartment, as well as the roof window. Note than when this listings' photos were shot, limited decorations were installed: gradually some more decoration will be introduced to give a warmer touch. In the meantime the apartment is priced accordingly to its general presentation.

On entering the wooden floored apartment, one has direct access into the living and dining room. The living room is large and calm. The dining table comfortably seats up to 6 guests, it is foldable in half on request. This room has a large size window and a normal one. The leather sofa seats 2 to 3 guests. The TV is a large flat screen.

On the right of the living area, stairs go up to the mezzanine. The mezzanine is of full body height over 2/3rd of its area, more than enough to go around the double bed. It is very agreeable since a roof windows brings sun light directly. It offers a hanger & drawers for storage. Present photo show a single bed. Actually the mezzanine is already equipped with a double bed. We will soon reshoot photos.

To the left of the living room one has a corridor that leads to the kitchen and the 2 bedrooms.

The first door to the right leads to the fully equipped functional separate kitchen. It may also be accessed from the living room. The kitchen is totally operational and has recently been renovated.

Further down to the right in the corridor, one has access to the master bedroom. This room offers a comfortable double bed for 2 with night tables, a chest with drawers and 2 armchairs. The room is very large and offers a lot of storage space.

To the left in the corridor is the second bedroom. This room offers 2 comfortable single beds with the baldaquin style, and ample storage space.

The bedroom has an ensuite bathroom. The fully tiled bathroom offers a bath tub with a shower and a vanity area. It also has a toilet. The bathroom also profits from a window.

The door to the immediate right of the apartment entrance gives one access to the second toilet.

This third floor apartment is conveniently located in the Montmartre area and is close to the shopping and restaurant areas. However, it is also extremely calm. The area is very safe. There are 3 metro stations around 5 minutes away by foot and the Sacre Coeur Church a few hundred yards. Most interesting places in Paris may be reached in 15mn.

Last point, we are staying a few blocks away. We are here if you need help, but do not worry, we will not be intrusive.

About Owner/Manager

"In Beau Paris" is a Vacation Rental Agency operating in Paris for more than 10 years.

We manage close to 100 apartments in Paris, all of very good to luxury standard.

We take care of the advertising of apartments, the reservation process from payments to security deposit refund; and even the cleaning and the maintenance of the apartment.

We would be very happy to host you in one of our apartments that you will find on VRBO Listing #26870.

We do very little brand name advertisement. We focus on what matters: MAKING SURE OUR GUESTS ARE SATISFIED (check the reviews on any of our apts. Recent apts do not have reviews yet).

We believe it is the best way to develop our activities which have being growing steadily every year. You are welcome to try our service.

Why Owner/Manager chose Montmartre

We selected this property because of its great location nearby the gardens of the "Sacre Coeur " basilic in the culturally and historically rich Montmartre area. The apt is wide and bright.

What makes this apartment unique

WE ARE PROFESSIONALS.

We answer to each request and send a detailed quote & contract on each request. We believe the instant quote given on the site is not precise enough for a guest to book an apt.

We react fast, be it by mail (often in the hour, max 24h, we have evening shift), Immediatly by phone. Note we do not take booking on the phone nor discuss prices or availability, risk of mistake is too high. E-mail is much more secure & precise. We nevertheless are happy to answer specific questions.

During your stay, we are always available. We can advise you on how to use the apt. We run a night emergency line, for real emergencies :-). When problem arise, we do our best to solve them, quickly.

We want our guest to have the best memories of their stay. We have a high rate of returning guests : it seems they do.

Great for a short stay!

  • 4 of 5

Yes, the reviews are fairly accurate. This is a lovely, spacious apartment with comfortable beds and plenty of room with everything that you might need for a vacation stay. I was a bit concerned when I saw the shabby entrance in a rundown street but I have stayed in similar apts in Paris before and this is above average in terms of facilities and presentation. The location is ideal for the Sacre Coeur and an easy metro ride to other popular areas. The shops, restaurants, metro, etc. are all within easy reach and you can find most of what you might want without effort. We are a family of 5 and it worked very well. Be aware that the location shown on the map at booking is not accurate although it is in the general area. The apt is on Rue Pierre Picard.

Notes for guests…the street and surrounding areas are extremely noisy in the evening and early morning so if you are early birds, then you may find it hard to get to sleep especially if it is summertime and the windows are open. You may be awoken as early as 7am by trash collection or people shouting in the street. We were kept up until past 1am one evening (a Wednesday) by loud, thumping music somewhere in the area, and the clanking of bottles from the shop across the way continues way past 11pm daily. The small toilet is challenging to navigate and my youngest could not reach the hand basin, and even I found it hard to wash my hands, but that just adds to the charm of living the Parisian life! Be prepared to buy toilet paper. We were left enough for a day or 2 but the supermarket is very close. We used the washer/dryer without any trouble but did not use the stove - this is the land of great food! - so cannot comment on the ease of cooking other than to advise caution as the side of the fridge was charred from a previous guest!

Notes for owner…not all the lamps are in working order and we could not close the wardrobe door in the twin room so it swung open for our entire stay. We certainly appreciated the fans during our hot stay and would recommend putting another large one in the lounge to help with cooling. I would also recommend putting a sheet on every bed under the duvet so that in the heat, the duvet can be tossed off but there is still minimal cover. These are just minor things. We were very happy with the apt and understand that the surrounding noise levels are just part of city living.

Owner's Response: Hi Jane, Thanks for your review and glad to know that you found the apartment to be lovely, spacious with comfortable beds and plenty of room with everything that you might need for a vacation stay! Montmartre is a lively and lovely place. As the windows are double glazed, we never had a complaint about the city noise before, except of course if one keeps the windows opened during the night. Otherwise, as you wrote, surrounding noises are part of the city living. We provide toilet paper for arrival but once there, our guests behave like if they were at home and buy the extra consumables they need. Many of our guests stay weeks or even months and you will understand that it would be unfortunately impossible to manage. As you say, the supermarket is very close. About the duvet, in summer our guests generally do as you suggest, they toss off the duvet and keep the duvet sheet. The other points have been checked since your departure, thanks for your feedback, it helps improve what can be. Hope to host you again in Paris. Sincerely, Jean

Spacious, clean, and close to Sacre Couer

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed our stay here. It was spacious, clean, and right down the street from Sacre Couer. There was a large grocery store down the street, which made the location perfect for our family. Like many places, you need to okay walking up a few flights of stairs. (It helped us burn off our calories from all of the wine and pasteries.). We had our windows open because of the heat wave, but we were comfortable with the fans provided, and the city noise didn’t bother us. We really enjoyed our stay.

Lovely Stay

  • 5 of 5

Thank you so much for making our stay in Paris so amazing! My husband and I and our three children were visiting Paris for the first time and we thoroughly enjoyed our six-day stay!

The apartment is a short taxi drive away from the Gare du Nord train station. In fact, we walked back upon departure. Check in was smooth and fairly simple. My daughter enjoyed having her own loft room (with a view of Sacre Couer Basilica from the window) separate from her brothers and everyone had plenty of space. The boys' window opened to a beautiful, quiet inner courtyard. The breeze was very pleasant from the windows. I was able to shop at the nearby grocery stores (literally on the corner - and open until 10:30 PM) so everything we needed was readily accessible. My family enjoyed curling up on the couch together in the evening to play games or watch television after our long days sightseeing. I actually enjoyed the worn wooden spiral staircase up to the apartment and was very impressed with the security locks inside the building and apartment entrance. The new wood floors are so quiet! The neighbors are all quite helpful and polite, as well. We all slept great during our stay.

The kitchen was a bit of an adventure for us. I Youtubed how to light the oven and burners with a match. It was very similar to using our travel trailer, but not an everyday event for me. Once I figured that out, I let the guys figure out how to do Netflix...

The metro was a quick walk away and we toured all of Paris from here. We used the Paris City Pass and went sightseeing every day, even taking the above ground to some outer city sights, such a Chateau de Chambois and Versailles. On our last evening, we climbed the hill to Sacre Couer Basilica, toured the church, and climbed the dome to the very top. Such a beautiful view of Paris! You could even locate the mezzanine window of the Fenetres apartment! We had dinner at a nearby restaurant, outside table, watching Montmarte life. The evenings are definitely quite lively here. It was the perfect end to a wonderful week. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Paris Condo - Montmartre

  • 5 of 5

The condo accommodated our adult family of 5 very well. The location is convenient to the subway stations and we felt very safe in the area. We felt the choice of restaurants were good and the food quality was very nice. It was much more reasonable to eat in the area compared to the Eiffel Tower or Louvre region, plus the service was better. The only negative was the street noise. It was warm out and we had the windows open. We were surprised how noisy it was late and early. We we stay here again.

Fantastic stay!

  • 5 of 5

Our stay in Montmartre was fantastic! We were 5 ladies but it could have accommodated 6. The apartment was clean and the beds were oh so comfortable! There are 2 supermarkets at the end of the street as well as a boulangerie for your morning croissants. The metro is a 5-10mt walk through wonderful streets full of shops. The metro will take you anywhere from the Eiffel Tower, l’Arc de Triomphe or Notre-Dame within 20-25mts. Also the Sacré Cœur is at a 5 minute walk from your stay. The neighbours were very quiet and it was easy to reciprocate such respect. We can’t wait to go back!

Cozy apartment. Great location right by the metro.

Be aware there are 6 posted pages of info. Take the time to read them. All your questions are answered. Be prepared to buy toilet paper, paper towels and garbage bags at the nearby market. Sort your trash from day one (plastic&paper one lot, glass, and organic)
