This bright & spacious 2 bedroom plus mezzanine apartment is perfect for 4 to 6 guests. It is located on the 3rd floor of a stone building in the Montmartre area at the edge of the Sacré Coeur Garden. It is located behind the “Halles Saint Pierre” a modern art museum as well as a sport center. You will enjoy the “Sacré Coeur garden” at less than 200m and the lively spirit of le “marché Saint Pierre” famous in Paris for its fabric shops. A very typical Parisian location.

The apartment basks in natural light, thanks to the full size windows it is endowed with in each and every part of the apartment, as well as the roof window. Note than when this listings' photos were shot, limited decorations were installed: gradually some more decoration will be introduced to give a warmer touch. In the meantime the apartment is priced accordingly to its general presentation.

On entering the wooden floored apartment, one has direct access into the living and dining room. The living room is large and calm. The dining table comfortably seats up to 6 guests, it is foldable in half on request. This room has a large size window and a normal one. The leather sofa seats 2 to 3 guests. The TV is a large flat screen.

On the right of the living area, stairs go up to the mezzanine. The mezzanine is of full body height over 2/3rd of its area, more than enough to go around the double bed. It is very agreeable since a roof windows brings sun light directly. It offers a hanger & drawers for storage. Present photo show a single bed. Actually the mezzanine is already equipped with a double bed. We will soon reshoot photos.

To the left of the living room one has a corridor that leads to the kitchen and the 2 bedrooms.

The first door to the right leads to the fully equipped functional separate kitchen. It may also be accessed from the living room. The kitchen is totally operational and has recently been renovated.

Further down to the right in the corridor, one has access to the master bedroom. This room offers a comfortable double bed for 2 with night tables, a chest with drawers and 2 armchairs. The room is very large and offers a lot of storage space.

To the left in the corridor is the second bedroom. This room offers 2 comfortable single beds with the baldaquin style, and ample storage space.

The bedroom has an ensuite bathroom. The fully tiled bathroom offers a bath tub with a shower and a vanity area. It also has a toilet. The bathroom also profits from a window.

The door to the immediate right of the apartment entrance gives one access to the second toilet.

The apartment is conveniently located in the Montmartre area and is close to the shopping and restaurant areas. However, it is also extremely calm. The area is very safe. There are 3 metro stations around 5 minutes away by foot and the Sacre Coeur Church a few hundred yards. Most interesting places in Paris may be reached in 15mn.

Last point, we are staying a few blocks away. We are here if you need help, but do not worry, we will not be intrusive.

quiet old apartment in Montmartre

Booking process is a bit of tedious : you have to complete the lease agreement forms and are basically responsible for the property damage , fire , theft ... and provide all the passport photos. They advice us to buy property insurance for the stay so one more thing to take care of.

The apartment is old and wardrobes are old and smell. The door lock is hard to open: it needs to be oil . We rented for 5 nights . There was no fan in the one bedroom with double bed . It was very hot when we were there , despite the window fully opened and we could not sleep for 2 nights and my wife fainted because of heat stroke. There was lot of instructions "do and don't to protect the property, but we wished to have some instructions to guests well-being such as emergency contact numbers for the doctor/ dentist , nearby hospital...We did contacted the renting office after the first night, who could not help us to find a fan until the 3rd night.

The location is good if you like to be in Monmartre Sacre coeur area with lot of near by restaurants and groceries.It is in quiet neighborhood.

Owner's Response: Hi Cuong, Thanks for your review. Nice to know you found the apartment to in a quiet neighborhood and in a good location. We understand filling a lease agreement is tedious but it is compulsory by law (many do not do it but they are wrong) and is made to protect both parties, our guests and the owner. You will also understand that for security reasons guests ID is requested. We are sorry you suffered from the heatwave as we all did. Heatwaves are short and exceptional in Paris and Parisians nearly never use A.C. They are used to close the curtains and open the windows to create a slight breeze which is generally sufficient. We always do our best to help and delivered you a fan as fast as possible knowing that there was shortage in most shops. Emergency numbers are written on the 1st page of the instructions sheet and we are always reachable by phone or email in case of need. Hope to host you again in Paris in better weather conditions. I would definitely stay here again!

My family and I stayed here for 4 nights and it was a very comfortable and spacious accommodation. The bedrooms were nice and the apartment was well-furnished. The building was actually very close to some of Paris' most beautiful sites. I would recommend the cafes and restaurants in the opposite direction of the metro as they were plentiful and generally pretty good. The proximity to the metro stations were great and made it easy for us to get around the city very effectively and quickly. The WIFI was great and the signal strength was strong. I would definitely stay here again!

The address posted in VRBO site was Rue Lepic but actually it was at Rue Pierre Picard.

The apartment was on 4th floor and did not have an elevator. My husband was not able to climb 6 flight of stairs due to his medical condition. I would recommend the listing state it clearly so that people with medical disability can avoid renting it. On a positive side, our children liked it very much as it was centrally located.

My husband and I stayed there two nights and then moved out to stay somewhere else so that we did not have to climb those dreadful stairs.

We are sorry that you were not able to climb the stairs but must say that you are the first guests to make a mistake in booking, let me explain : When you fill a listing on VRBO, there is a cell to check if there is an elevator in the building and it then appears in the “amenities” chapter. If there is no elevator written in amenities, it just means there is no elevator, otherwise it is advertised. It is the same for all listings. That said, elevators are quite rare in old Paris as 19th century building were constructed before elevators existed and stairwells are often too small to be able to put one now. If you come back to Paris, do not hesitate to ask us for an apartment with elevator, we have some to propose and would gladly host you. PS : We have no hand on the map showing location of apartments. The map location is shown as slightly different from the actual location for obvious security reasons. It is always in the same neighborhood. The data we always send shows the exact address. Dream Vacation in the 18th Arrondissement

This fantastic apartment was perfect for my group of 5 adults! The location was perfect: only a couple blocks from the metro, plenty of delicious restaurants as well as cafes were in the surrounding area and a grocery store was just at the end of the block. The atmosphere of the neighborhood was lively and generally safe. The apartment was well furnished and helpful instructions from the owner were clearly posted. The apartment was clean and everything was in working order. You must be mindful of the other residents within the building; not recommended for groups looking to party and be loud into the early hours of the morning. I highly recommend staying this apartment if you are looking to be on the outskirts of city center and get a true feel of how the locals live!

Excellent Apartment

We really enjoyed our stay at the Fenetres apartment. The location is great, so close to sacre coeur and 5 minutes from Anvers metro, with a supermarket just round the corner when we didn't want to eat out.

The apartment was clean and tidy with everything we needed for our family of 4. Booking was straightforward and very professional, overall we had a great time!
