Amazing beachfront property
This is definitely a place my family will visit again. It was perfect!! Great pool, beaches were nice, and even saw dolphins off our balcony that overlooks the ocean. You won't regret a trip to this beautiful place!!
We stayed at this condo the month of February. Condo had great layout and can accommodate a large number of guests, but needs a little updating especially the carpets and mattresses, tile work in shower floors. Owner was very kind and did have carpets cleaned in bedrooms after our arrival and did state it was to have been completed before our arrival. However, the back bedroom especially needs replaced perhaps because of service entry in this bedroom. Back bedroom with coded service entrance had no inside lock which met it could be opened by staff personnel at any time. Notice would be given if work had to be completed by day or week, but no exact time, so service personnel could walk in at any time. Depending where you were in condo you might not hear them knock and enter. That being said, the complex was wonderful, views from balcony beautiful, pleasant staff. Kitchen was well supplied if you wanted to cook. Condo over all was clean. Overall enjoyed our stay, loved shopping, local restuarants and ocean view. The only reason we were happy to leave were relief from backaches.
We appreciate the comment by our guest. I would like to clarify several points:
1- The condo was completely updated two years ago and the bedding was changed at that time. Firmness of mattresses is a matter of personal preference by the guest.
2- The back door, has in fact a lock from inside, but as it is common in hotels and resorts, the housekeeping and security have access to the back door as they are not allowed to use the front door/elevator.The housekeeping only comes in after the guests have checked out or have requested extra cleaning, security uses the back door only in cases of emergency.
Hope this clarify any misunderstanding.
My family enjoyed this property tremendously. The property is beautiful. Well maintained. The den and bedrooms are updated.
Our family of 4, (2 adults, kids ages 8 & 4) stayed at Silver Shells this past October. We are from MN and were not sure what Destin had to offer (this was our 1st time to the beach with kids) and were amazed at the incredible condo and location! True to the pictures, the condo was classy, clean and includes all the amenities. We loved how family friendly & secure the building is. The elevator opened up right to the floor (a 1st for us- soo fancy!)
The weather was perfect- low 80's and hardly a cloud in the sky. Our kids loved the sugar white sandy beach- building sand castles and catching crabs! The condo had a nice variety of board games and sand castle supplies for borrowing as well! Great variety of restaurants near by including a fabulous BBQ place across the street! We enjoyed our stay soo much and plan to return again!

DIRECTION FOR CHECK IN:Unless we send you the keys to the unit, upon arrival to Destin, please go to the sales office of NEWMAN DAILY located at the Beach side inn, 2931 Scenic hwy 98, Destin, Fl.32541. Phone number for office and after hour is 850-837-1071, direct line 850-650-9099. For after hours arrival the lock box number is 4026 , your contact name is Jessica Hill . Newman Daily is managing the Condo for us and will be checking you in and out, give you wrist bands for access to private areas as well as responding to any concerns or repairs that are needed. After receiving the keys please proceed to the guard gate At Silver Shells to get a decal for your car. The St. Maarten building is the second building on your Left. You will scan the key to open the garage gate. Please park only in the space designated for unit # 803. Additional vehicles should be parked in guest-designated spots or out side the garage.
Take elevator #2 which is located across from the parking space for unit #803. There are carts by the elevator to help you with your luggage. Scan the key and choose the 8th floor.
Please do not tamper with refrigerator temperature, it should be set on 5 to avoid freezing.
You may experience a smell from the water when you first take a shower. That is normal due to Sulfur accumulation in the pipes; it will go away after the first shower.
CHECK IN IS AT 4:00 PM AND CHECK OUT IS AT 10 AM.
Half-Day rates will apply for check out after 10:00 am and Full-Day rates will apply for check out after 2:00 pm.
WIFI is available in the condo, you should not need a password to get access but in case you need one it is Stmaarten803.
CABLE :Our cable is provided by Cox Communication and Silver shells resort, in the event that you have any issues or Internet is not working , please call the front desk from the house phone in your condo.
BEACH CHAIRS: chairs and umbrellas are available for rental at the beach.
SMOKING: this unit is a NON SMOKING UNITS On the day of check out, please
PETS : No pets are allowed in the resort, if this rule is violated, Guests will be asked to leave the Resort and charged $1,000.00 for deep cleaning.
CHECK OUT DETAILS .please empty all trash and put all dirty dishes in the dishwasher.
There is a trash shoot in the back of the 3rd bedroom.
If you received the condo keys from the Management Office you must return them to the Management Office at the time of departure.
