Japanese Style Room, Valley View
Quiet onsen hotel
quiet place compared to those in the area receiving large tour groups. Good spread for breakfast.
This hotel is not recommended
1. The valley view of this hotel is quite good.
2. The facilities and environment of the hotel is old-style, lack of repair and quite dirty.
3. Some of the staff can't communicate with simple English, and is not friendly and helpful.
4. Nobody mentioned that there is an additional charge for the onsen. They suddenly charged us JPY 600 yen when we checked out but we didn't use their onsen.
心が暖かいな経験 Heart Warming Experience
Is it our first time to live in a Traditional Japanese style hot spring hotel. This hotel doesn't have luxury decoration but they servicing with their sincere. "Servicing with heart"
At the first day, we booked their shuttle bus service between hotel and JR Sapporo station. Which help us a lot as the hotel is sightly far from down town and we got 3 big suitcase to take. And we have to state what time we are going to have dinner and breakfast in our living period. At this moment I still have no Idea why we have to pick the time. But here is the surprise.
And at the next day the staff has made our dinning time wrong as they were busy for serving another group of tourists. They just tried to delay for us immediately for their fault. When I finally tell them it is OK for us to eat now, the staff felt sorry for it and asked me again"Is it really OK?" this experience really cannot found at big hotel
Generally speaking, the selling point of this hotel is the beauty of traditional Japanese culture. Whatever on the attitude of servicing or the feast. If you want to experience the tradition of Japan, it is a good starting point. However, you have to ready for BASIC LEVEL OF JAPANESE SPEAKING to communicate with the staff. Otherwise you may have a lot of misunderstanding.
