Kaha Lani means Heavenly Place which describes this beach front resort perfectly. It's like no other resort on Kauai. Surrounded by large grassy areas, this Bali Style Resort is breath taking. It sits behind a beautiful, undeveloped, white sand beach that is only 150 steps away from your front door. You can walk miles along this quiet beach sometimes without seeing another person. This is a perfect place to take pictures of the amazing sunrises. The resort also has a heated pool overlooking the ocean with Tiki Lights that are lit every night at sunset. There are two barbecue grills by the pool, great for cooking your meals outside. There is a tennis court and a putting green on the property. A beautiful well maintained golf course is right next door, that is reasonable priced. (Wailua Golf Course). A great bike/walking path is directly in front of the resort that leads to Lydgate Beach Park, a great place for kids to play in the protected lagoon an learn how to snorkel. They will also love the awesome playground. You can rent bikes in Kapa'a nearby or have them delivered to the condo. There is a bike rack directly behind our condo.

Kaha Lani Resort is centrally located so you are close to all the famous Kauai sights, yet you feel away from everything the moment you drive into the spacious , tropical resort. Positioned between the Wailua Golf Course and Lydgate Beach Park, the resort is very private. You aren't surrounded by other resorts fighting for a spot on the beach, yet you are a short drive from all the activities. The Wailua River is one mile North of the condo. This is were you can launch off in a kayak to visit Secret Falls or take a river cruise to the Fern Grotto. Right on the shores of the Wailua River sits the Coco Palms Resort that Elvis Presley made famous in the film Blue Hawaii. The hurricane Iniki shut the resort down in 1992, but it is still nice to drive past and imagine what it was like in 1961 when the movie was filmed. The Wailua Waterfall, also shown in the film, is a short drive up the nearby country road. It can be viewed from the road and is a great place to take photos. A few adventurous travelers even hike to the bottom of the falls and swim in the fresh water pool. Opoeka'a Falls is about 3 miles from the condo. You can view it from the road. Depending on the recent rainfall it may have one, two or even three falls coming over the side. The quaint town of Kapa'a is a few miles North of the condo. This is a great place to stroll for hours checking out the many shops and restaurants.

Kaha Lani 216 is in building 5, on the second and third floor of a three story building. 980 square feet of private space, including two lanai's. It is a quiet, very bright, end unit. There are only six units in this building. The two units connected by the wall to the right only go up two floors, so your third floor master bedroom doesn't share a wall with another unit, making it very quiet. You can view the ocean from the third floor master bedroom windows, making it a great place to watch the passing whales during winter months. It has a queen size bed. A private bathroom is also on the third floor. The second bedroom and second bathroom are on the second floor with the rest of the living areas. The second bedroom has two twin beds that can be converted to a king size bed. Just let us know before you arrive and we will have it ready for you. The living room has a queen size hide away sleeper sofa. There are two lanai's. One facing the ocean and white sand beach and another facing the mountains. There is plenty of free parking right outside the unit. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to make meals, except groceries which you can purchase at Safeway a few miles North of the condo. There are three flat screen TV's, DVD players, internet and wifi. You can rent DVD's at the RedBox machine inside Safeway. The telephones come with free long distance to the mainland USA and Cananda so you can keep in touch with the office and family. It is well stocked with beach items for you to enjoy. Tommy Bahama Backpack Beach Chairs, Boogie Boards, snorkel sets, umbrella, ice chest, beach towels, tennis rackets and balls. Just bring your clothes. There is a laundry facility on the grounds of Kaha Lani that takes quarters so you can pack lighter and save on airline fees.

About Marcy Parmley

This condo is privately owned my Marcy & John, who live in Bakersfield, California. We use our vacation condo 12 weeks a year, or more when possible. We have two grown and married children who love to visit Kauai with us. Our condo sleeps 6 so there is plenty of room for all of us. We enjoy hiking, mountain biking, and exploring all Kauai has to offer. We hope to retire here full time in about 10 years.

Why Marcy Parmley chose Lihue-Kalapaki

We fell in love with Kauai on our first visit. It is our favorite Hawaiian island. We chose Kaha Lani because it is the most beautiful resort on the island. It is tucked away all by itself. There is a beautiful, undeveloped, white sand beach directly in front of the resort. Very quite, tropical setting. My husband loves to golf and the Wailua Golf Course is right next door. He can walk right over. I love walking right out to the beach in front and setting up my hammock for an afternoon of reading. A great place for a honeymoon, birthday or anniversary. Being a short walk from Lydgate Beach Park it is also a great place for families. I hope you enjoy your stay at our home.

What makes this condo unique

Centrally located on Kauai's East Coast. We can drive a short distance to the North or South Shores. Shopping and eating are close by, yet you feel miles away from everything when you drive into this resort. Right next door to a beautiful county golf course with very affordable rates. Comes fully stocked with beach chairs, umbrella, boogie boards, snorkel sets, ice chest, and tennis rackets. There are three BBQ's on the grounds, along with a fully stocked kitchen you can save money by eating at home. Safeway grocery store is just two miles north of the condo. Kauai also has many Farmer's Markets which you will want to shop for fresh fruit and vegetables.

This condo is very roomy. We had four adults and fit very comfortably. The owners have thought of everything a guest may need, which was very thoughtful and much appreciated. The on island property manager does a great job. They really know their business. The housewarming gifts were nice: reusable shopping bags (since Hawaii has banded plastic), the lunch bags, bottle water, cookies, coffee. We experience the Aloha Spirit all over the island. Looking forward to our next visit.

Notes:
This condo is close to everything, yet away from it all. A nice centrally located base to call home. Kaha Lani is a beautiful, tropical, spacious resort right next to an undeveloped white sand beach. This unit is a quiet end unit on the second and third floor of a three story building with just six units. Kaha Lani has only 74 units spread over six spacious acres. With the beach and ocean to the east, a golf course to the south and a park to the north and west, Kaha Lani is very private and secluded. Unless they get off the highway and drive a mile most people don't even know Kaha Lani is there. It is truely a Hidden Gem that you will want to return to year after year.

Quiet & convenient location to the beach. Beautiful grounds.

This vacation rental was very well equipped with everything you need for your stay... Everything from beach chairs to stuff for your little one, including a high chair, pack n play and security gate for the stairs. For us, these items were essential while traveling with a toddler. The property was beautiful and right on the beach. The private lagoon was perfect for the family, as the water here is pretty rough. We had a family of 5; 4 adults and 1 toddler. The size of the condo was just right for all of us. We cooked quite a few meals and there wasn't one kitchen essential that was missing. The grills at the pool and near the condo were convenient as well. It was nice to not to have to go out every time we wanted to eat. We did enjoy the short walk to the Hilton for a couple of meals and even visited some friends at the Marriott. Wailua was pretty much center of the coast and the drive up and down the coast was perfect... Not too far to travel. I would recommend this condo to anyone who is looking for an amazing stay on the island. The price point is bery affordable and the condo itself gives you a home feel.

Great central location, less busy than other resorts.

We had a great visit. The condo was comfy for 4 adults. Loved the location, close but not in shopping area. Good beach right there, walking to Lydgate park was nice for calm swimming.

Next time I'll bring my own snorkeling gear. No air con. so I'm glad we were there in March, it was just right. A bit noisy on the weekends but that's to be expected, quiet by 10 pm. Downstairs bedroom window opens to parking lot and smoking area/bbq. FYI. Smelled the smoke a couple times and had to close windows.

Having all that said, I would rent this property again in a heartbeat! Mahalo!

Owner's Response: Thank you for your review. We really appreciate the feedback. We are one of the few owners who leave our personal items out for our guest to use (beach chairs, umbrella, boogie boards, ice chests, snorkel gear), therefore they get used quite a bit. Especially the snorkel gear. If you would like a more professional set, or one that hasn't been used so often, you can rent one from Snorkel Bob a few miles North of the condo in Wailua. He rents snorkel gear for the day or the week. The next time I'm at the condo I will take a look at the snorkel gear to see if it needs to be replaced. From your review it sounds like I may need to buy a few new sets. We stay at the condo about 12 weeks a year and never noticed the smoke coming in. This is the first time anyone mentioned it being a problem. I think that is because the trade winds come off the ocean and push the smoke away from the resort. I'm wondering if there weren't any trade winds blowing during your stay. Or possibly you were smelling someone's BBQ. Rather than shutting the windows and blocking the fresh air you may try placing the fan in front of the window, blowing the air the other direction. I'll look into it on my next visit. True Exotic Hawaiian Experience

Lovely condo located on the Coconut coast with fabulous protected beaches perfect for small children and snorkeling. Situated central to short drives to enjoy both north and south areas of island. Nearby try Smiths, just $6 to walk through their gardens, adventuresome hiking trails and spectacular falls. We enjoyed Passions Bakery almost every day 😊 So close and yummy. This condo felt exotic, a true Hawaiian 🌺 experience.

Kauai home away from home

The property is well maintained, very clean, and has welcoming feel to the condo! We loved the care package left for us. It was great to have beach toys and supplies available to use, and it is a very short walk to a beautiful beach! We would definitely stay there again!!

Family Wish Come True

My family and I finally were able to take a dream vacation to Hawaii and we are so glad we got to stay at Kaha Lani Resort #216. After a long plane ride we found the condo clean and welcoming. As soon as we stepped in the door we felt we were in a home and were able to instantly make ourselves comfortable. We spent every morning on the Lanai eating breakfast and having coffee as we watched the ocean. My brother took morning strolls on the beach and always came back to the condo to let us know what he found and saw. The other thing we loved was how EASY it was to find the condo from the airport or anywhere else on the island. The night before we left we were already planning our next stay. The owners also had a binder in the condo that literally answers any question you have which we really enjoyed since this was our first visit to the island.This is the number one spot to stay if you are planning a Hawaiian vacation. Not only is this condo wonderful and welcoming but the island of Kauai is beautiful and offers so many things to do and so many adventures to have.

Our favorite condo ever in Hawaii!

We LOVED this condo! It felt like home away from home. This seems to be quite a unique floor plan, being on the second and third levels, with lots of privacy from any other units. When I booked, I was afraid we would be too far from the ocean, but the pictures don't do justice. You are very close to the ocean, and actually not too close that the sound of the waves is not too disturbing at night. It was just perfect! It was perfectly furnished and very clean. The patio set and chaises were awesome to privately relax. The pool was awesome too. I loved that there is plenty of parking right by the door with quiet neighbors all around, except for the famous Kauai chickens everywhere ;-) Don't let the fact that there is no AC discourage you. We had temperatures that felt like 35C (95F) and with the several fans throughout the condo and all the windows, we had plenty of winds to cool us down. It came with deluxe beach chairs and umbrella, which were greatly appreciated. Other positives: great wifi, great cable tv, comfortable beds, privacy with the bedrooms on different floors, great rental company that checked in on us several times. Things that could be improved: no laundry soap supplied or that we could buy from a vending machine (but we found single pouches at ABC stores), the resident below us was smoking, there is no way to have your towels dry so a laundry folding rack would be a great addition. As you can see, these are tiny details. If we go to Kauai again (it is our favorite island), I would insist on renting this condo again. Mahalo again for sharing your condo with us!

Be sure to view our attached video for a detailed view of the inside of our condo, the Kaha Lani Resort and all Kauai has to offer. Kaha Lani Resort is centrally located on Kauai's East Shore. The North shore beaches, caves, and trails are a short drive away. So is Poipu Beach to the south. The Wailua Golf Course is next door. Lydgate Beach Park is a short walk away. The Wailua River is just North of the resort as well as the quaint town of Kapa'a which has great shopping the restuarants. The airport, Costco, Walmart, Kmart, Home Depot, McDonalds, KFC, Taco Bell, Sears, and Starbucks are a few miles away in Lihue. You are a quick drive to kayaking, rafting, deep sea fishing, and boat tours of North shore. The great thing about this resort is you are a short drive to all the activities, yet you feel away from it all the moment you drive on to the property.
