About Cheryl Pentz

Spending many years deciding where to buy our home in the Monterey peninsula we found Pacific Grove was the answer, this location was simply perfect. A gem away from the bustle of Carmel, Pacific Grove offers so much to visitors walking the rocky coastline, golf, biking, kayaking, whale watching, scuba diving, fishing, shopping, antiquing, aquarium, cinema, ballroom dancing, etc. etc

Cheryl Pentz purchased this house in 2005

Winter Break with the Family

  • 5 of 5

What a wonderful time! So close to everything we wanted to see and do! House was gorgeous and cozy, it was a treat to stay inside to relax and a treat to go out and explore. So much to do within a few blocks - made it easy to let everyone get to do what they wanted! Had a fantastic time picking up fresh seafood at Fisherman’s Wharf and preparing it in the chef’s kitchen. Farmers markets in the area almost everyday of the week - so found the best produce and baked goods! Also enjoyed restaurants locally and in Carmel. Sunny family room for puzzles and games. Gorgeous soaking tub for bath after a long day exploring the coastline and forest.

Local sea life and aquarium made it so memorable as did several drives down 17 Mile Drive. Went up north about an hour to take the steam train through a redwood forest - a real experience for nature lovers and train lovers! A drive down Big Sur was photographers dream - whales, seals, rocky cliffs, crashing waves - can’t wait to see the slideshow! Of course the Aquaruim passes that come with the house saved us so much money - we went several times and were enchanted every time. Also - fantastic shows outside too - Otters, seal lions, seals, birds of all kinds, jellies, urchins, starfish - to see outside - living wild!! Incredible!

We stayed for almost two weeks and still couldn’t fit all of our activities in - next time kayaking at Moss Point, and maybe a tour through wine country.

An overall unforgettable experience!! We’ll be back!

House was beautiful, well stocked and clean.

  • 5 of 5

The house was lovely. It was well stocked and clean. There was plenty of space for all 5 of us. Sarah who came and checked us in was great. She had a wealth of information about the area, places to visit and places to eat. My husband took the rental car to go golfing and the kids walked everywhere- fishermans warf and cannery row.If we ever get to that area again we would definitely book this house again.

Very comfortable home with all the amenities and a great location.

  • 5 of 5

We liked this home so much the first time that we came back for a second stay with young children and grandparents. Everyone had a great time and loved the house. It's close to the ocean and to a cute playground. Aquarium passes and bikes were an awesome bonus. Owner is very responsive, and there was someone available during our stay in case of any issues who was really helpful.

Perfect location. Lovely house. Had a great time with children.

  • 4 of 5

The house was as described. Lovely furnished and decorated. Perfect location near the ocean, you could actually see the ocean from different parts of the house. Children enjoyed our walks to the beach at any time of the day, as it was just two blocks away. There was also a park just across the street. The room distribution could be a theme specially with little ones as in our case, but it was a minor detail we solved by splitting us adults one downstairs with some kids and one upstairs with other. We had a great time.

Wonderful house, location, communication to book stay and welcome to house.

  • 5 of 5

3 generations had separate and together space . Location, decor, are first rate. The Aquarium, the park, the tide pools, the charming town of PG all contributed to our happy stay despite the somewhat rainy weather. We will return.
