Guestbook comments from the manager

Thanks for hosting us! We had a great time and enjoyed our meals at Prime Meats and Frankies. The apartment was very comfortable and we felt lucky to be staying in our secret little spot. We will be back.

Better than a hotel and nice to get out of the crowds in NYC

  • 4 of 5

It was a wonderful apartment and better than staying at a hotel. Loved Carroll Garden's location. Only draw back, my husband needed WiFi for school and could not get a response from Allegra on why it was not available after the 1st night.

I want to put more than one star because it was a cute place with everything one should need. However, we were there for 4 nights and I think I only had one hot shower. The hot water wasn't working the first day and then it got fixed. However, it stopped working again and the woman we rented from was less responsive to the point of not responding at all; we're not sure she even tried to fix it. Additionally, the two spare single beds, one being a day bed, were extremely uncomfortable so that the third wheel in our party never got a good nights sleep.

Good neighbor and transportation

  • 3 of 5

3/5 because I asked the owner to check in about 10-12 and she said yes. We arrived at the apartment at 11, she was not there and the keys weren't at the restaurant (they said). I called her and she told me she was not able to get to the apartment until 3. At 3:30 she didn't even answered the phone and suddenly someone came out from the restaurant and gave me the keys. Summarizing: we spent 4 hours "resting" at the street.

Goods: location near the subway, nice street.

Cons: water heater not working well, we where 4 occupants (we even paid overprice because we where 4) and she gave us only 1 big size towel and 3 small ones. Not easy to take a bath to 4 people.

Bien situé - équipement de cuisine pauvre

  • 4 of 5

Great spot for a stay in New York!

  • 5 of 5

Great apartment to explore Brooklyn and Manhattan from! The place is cozy and comfortable and is located in a beautiful and accessible neighbourhood. Lots of restaurants, cafes and shops to visit around the apartment and very easy to walk or hop on the subway and go to other parts of the city! Allegra was a lovely host and was easy to get in touch with, as well as available to answer any questions. Definitely recommend!
