The log building has a beautiful large wrap around porch with rocking chairs for your viewing and listening enjoyment of the small waterfall/pond right in front of your unit. Unit has high speed internet access. Located in downtown Cashiers, walk to the many shops and restaurants nearby. Your rental includes daily maid service! About Lisa Dews

We are Bob and Lise' (pronounced Lisa) Dews.

After spending many years in the 'corporate rat race' we decided to give up the big city life and move to the mountains. The birth of our twin daughters in 1993 helped to prompt this decision! We are now living out our dream of running our own family business. We also purchased 8 acres of land that adjoined our property. God led us to home-school our daughters from the start through high school. The girls have recently graduated and are now both away at separate colleges!.

We invite you to come 'get-away from it all' and stay with us. Our goal is to serve you in anyway we can to ensure you have the best vacation possible.

You can count on all of us to help make your North Carolina vacation memorable and special. Along with providing you with wonderful accommodations, we are also experts on the area of the Blue Ridge Mountains in and around Cashiers, NC. We can help you find and plan such exciting activities as horseback riding along local mountain trails, golfing, fishing, whitewater rafting, antiquing, shopping and more!

Overpriced and poorly maintained. Very disappointed.

We stayed in the separate building which consisted of 3 suites. The rooms were clean but needed maintenance and repairs. The exterior of our building also needed repairs and cleaning.There was dry rot, mildew and a lot of debris from the trees and bushes which appeared to not have been swept away for weeks. Very sad that such a beautiful setting was not properly cared for.

Very cute and conveniently located spot in Cashiers.

The cottage is located right in th heart of cashiers. We could walk to get coffee and to shop. It was very clean and the owners were extremely accommodating.

We had a wonderful and welcoming stay in Laurelwood Inn. The owner and managers are excellent and have thought of everything from comfy beds to complimentary Keurig coffee each morning.

Our area has many beautiful waterfalls, antique shops, hiking trails, lakes for boating, slopes for skiing and golf courses. Just about any outdoor sport is nearby! Highlands, NC is just 10 miles away. Brevard and Franklin are a 45 minunte drive. Asheville is 1 hour and 15 minutes away and all locations are nice day trips from Laurelwood Inn.
