About Sandra Peskin

We are an English couple who moved to Provence from London about 5 years ago. Our two grown up children still live and work in London. Andrew was a Stockbroker in the City and Sandra worked as a negotiator selling overseas property

Sandra Peskin purchased this house in 2006

Why Sandra Peskin chose France

Having holidayed for many years in Provence both near to St Remy and on the coast we loved the area. Once the children were grown up, we decided to move here and start a new life away from the city. We have never looked back!

What makes this house unique

We love the style of our Provencal Mas both in Summer and Winter. Whether the sun is shining or the Mistral blowing we wouldn't be anywhere else

Review on visit to Chemin de Rousty

  • 5 of 5

We arrived to a wonderfully updated country house with every amenity one could ever want when renting a vacation home. The house was large and beautiful, as were the grounds and surrounding town area. Wonderful pool (although we were a bit late in the season to take the plunge) and garden area. Very quiet, peaceful and French….with a British spin!

The kitchen was fully functional and every tool needed to prepare and serve a gourmet meal was there. There was even a bountiful supply of spices, condiments and all those "little bits" one always forgets when renting a house on the road! The appliances were all new, as was the fit-out of the entire kitchen, plenty of space and storage. The lighting throughout the house was brilliant and all adjustable to the brightness needed, always a nice mood enhancer!

The living and dining spaces were perfect and provided great options for community time, as well as great places to get away for a nap, a good read or just to be alone, inside or outside. The interior spaces are well decorated and accessorized in a comfortable, contemporary style that is very cool, and guaranteed to make anyone feel right at home. Very well done, right down to the stocked candy dish in the living room.

Bedroom and bathrooms were equally as well thought out as the rest of the house. The rooms were large with beamed ceilings and very comfortable. A cleaning service came mid-week to freshen everything up. The beds were great and heating and cooling were a snap to operate.

But, the truly best part of this rental was by far our hostess (owner), Sandra. In addition to the house rental, Sandra offers a personal concierge service (for an additional fee that was worth every euro) that made our trip just perfect! Upon our arrival, the kitchen was stocked with everything we had previously requested plus she had prepared a delicious dinner for our first evening! For the whole trip, Sandra's advice with directions and destination choices saved us so much time and energy, while also delivering us the "A+ list experience". From places to go, to the most amazing restaurants that no tourist would ever find, to the best wineries to visit and which local markets to see, Sandra hooked us up with reservations, addresses and phone numbers and tips to make it all really easy!

Finally, this trip was a one in a million find for us! A great country, a great house, great food and wine….. all made possible by an extraordinary hostess! Thanks a million!

Perfect summer escape...

  • 5 of 5

I am recently back from 10 blissful days at Mas La Belugo. Most of the time there were ten of us spanning three generations and we all absolutely loved our stay. The house is beautiful and very well equipped for rental purposes and Sandra and Andrew did everything (and more!) than we could have expected to ensure we had the best possible holiday. We are already planning a return holiday....hopefully for next year.

A beautiful home away from home with fabulous secluded gardens and the most wonderful hosts.

  • 5 of 5

We are just back from the most wonderful week at Mas Roumie, I cannot recommend staying here more highly. We are a family of three generations and it suited us all perfectly; there was so much room for little ones to toddle about, and enough space for grand parents to have some well earned time out every now and then!

Even before we arrived Sandra had made contact personally and very generously took delivery of some baby items in advance, and arranged for a chef for us to come to the house and look after us over a couple of evenings. She gave us a very warm welcome on arrival to the villa, and had it so well stocked; literally everything had been thought of, even supper for the toddlers! The house really is a home away from home, and feels very loved, with so many touching details including all the mod cons you could want for; it is luxurious yet charming and exudes style and sophistication.

We spent lazy days in the house and by the pool, popping to the shops to collect groceries every now and then, which Sandra had given us all the local tips for. The little ones adored the pool and the outhouse was a treasure chest of fun swimming and outdoor toys for them. We did not explore the area hugely, but I would recommend a trip to one of the local vineyards for a fun afternoon, and a visit to local favourite restaurant Bistrot du Paradou is an absolute must. Again, Sandra very kindly recommended and arranged this for us, alongside a taxi, and we were so incredibly well looked after.

A week certainly wasn't long enough in this little slice of paradise, hugest hugest thanks to both Sandra and Andrew, who rescued us in our hour of need, we cannot wait to come back and visit!

Outstanding Family Vacation

  • 5 of 5

The perfect setting for a four week family vacation (with plenty of room for three couples and a baby in our case). Central to everything we wanted to explore in the Avignon - Nimes - Aix en Provence triangle of vineyards, historical sites, great (and always casual) restaurants, markets, hiking and just relaxing by the pool. Convenient shopping nearby in both traditional small family butchers, bakers and delicatessens as well as familiar supermarkets. We found it quite easy to figure everything out in the community and if we had any questions hosts Sandra and Andrew were never far away and always helpful. In late June and early July the weather was spectacular. Sandra and Andrew provide all of the modern conveniences in a traditional setting that is safe and secure. We had a wonderful vacation.

A little piece of heaven in Provence

  • 5 of 5

We spent a week as a family of three generations in Mas Belugo and had an absolutely wonderful time. The house is beautifully decorated with lots of little touches that make it feel like a home rather than a rental property. We spent a great deal of time by the pool in the lovely gardens which surround the property and which are all very well maintained. We enjoyed barbeques in the evening sitting in a perfect spot close to house from which to soak up the last of the evening sunshine. The owners, Sandra and Andrew could not be more helpful. We had email correspondence before our arrival with directions from the airport, various tips on the nearest supermarkets and restaurants, and Sandra arranged for a taxi to pick up our son and girlfriend in Marseille as they were joining us a day later. We were greeted warmly at the house by Sandra who showed us around and supplied a handbook of recommendations for the area. She was always available by telephone for any question we might have which was a great help. Mas Belugo is close to many attractive places to visit such as St Remy with its wonderful market, Avignon, Nimes and Les Baux but once you are behind the gates it is hard to tear yourself away from the sanctuary of the house. One week was definitely not long enough and we hope to return soon! Until then we all have wonderful memories of our time in Mas Belugo.

We had two weeks in this great house, very convenient to lots of lovely old villages and markets. The house was well provisioned and we enjoyed cooking in the well appointed kitchen.

St Remy is also within half an hour's drive of Avignon, Arles, Nimes and The Camargue and within an hour of Marseille, Montpellier and Aix-en-Provence. Golf is available at Mouries (20 minutes) and tennis in the village of St Etienne du Gres. There are many other things to do including horse riding, quad biking, wine tasting at many local vineyards including Domaine Dalmeran which is within walking distance and also offers cookery classes. There are numerous music festivals taking place to satisfy all different tastes (Jazz, Rock, Opera and Classical). Each local village has it's own Summer 'fete' which can be very enjoyable. The Roman ruins at Glanum just outside St Remy are a must see for any keen history students. The annual world famous photographic Exhibition takes place in Arles in August.
