About Sandra Peskin
We are an English couple who moved to Provence from London about 5 years ago. Our two grown up children still live and work in London. Andrew was a Stockbroker in the City and Sandra worked as a negotiator selling overseas property
Sandra Peskin purchased this House in 2006
Why Sandra Peskin chose Mas-Blanc-des-Alpilles
Having holidayed for many years in Provence both near to St Remy and on the coast we loved the area. Once the children were grown up, we decided to move here and start a new life away from the city. We have never looked back!
What makes this House unique
We love the style of our Provencal Mas both in Summer and Winter. Whether the sun is shining or the Mistral blowing we wouldn't be anywhere else

Beautiful, well equipped house. Perfect location.
Mas La Belugo is a gorgeous house set in a lovely garden with a super swimming pool. The house itself has been tastefully renovated to a very high standard. Sandra and Andrew, the owners, have clearly carefully thought about every detail from the artworks on the walls to the extremely well equipped, modern kitchen right down to the quality and number of clothes hangers in each wardrobe. The house has a warm, welcoming and comfortable air about it that makes you feel instantly at home. It is also immaculately clean. The 'house guide book' is invaluable - how to operate everything is clearly explained and it also includes useful information about shops, restaurants and other amenities in the local area. We are a family of 5 plus 2 grandparents who spent a very relaxing two weeks here at the end of August. Sandra and Andrew are very kind and attentive hosts - we couldn't have hoped for a better holiday. The house is ideally located to make visiting all the wonderful sights of this part of Provence very easy. All in all, a perfect place!
A beautiful villa in a fabulous location
We had a fantastic stay in Mas la Belugo. The villa was very clean and well maintained and had everything we needed. The pool and garden area were brilliant for both children and adults. Sandra, the owner, lives locally and made herself available whenever we needed her without being intrusive. The location of the villa was perfect for exploring the local area. We would definitely recommend this villa to anyone wanting to stay in this part of Provence and we would love to return one day ourselves.
Wonderful comfortable and very well equipped home. Sandra, the owner was very responsive and helpful
We are a Canadian family of 10, including 3 generations and this was a long planned celebratory family vacation in Provence. This home is very centrally located and yet beautifully quiet and secluded. The pool and grounds were really well kept and very much enjoyed, as it was very warm weather. The decor is very tasteful, and also comfortable and relaxed. We could take lots of wonderful day trips and within 15 min to 1 hour be in St Remy, Les Beaux, Gordes, Avignon, Arles, and Aix en Provence, as well as other surrounding points of interest and small towns. The markets were great fun. Sandra arranged an excellent cook for us for the few evenings we wanted and we also enjoyed picking up our own provisions and cooking ourselves in the modern and well equipped kitchen. The local French produce, cheeses and wines are so fresh and delicious and easy to find. Sandra was very helpful in recommending markets and restaurants. Also if we had any questions Sandra was extremely responsive. An electrical storm caused a problem with the stove top and she had it repaired immediately. We also found it was great to have 2 master suites with A/C as this made it easier for the 2 babies to nap and sleep. When we were there, one week was unusually hot but we were able to keep the 'Mas' cool by closing shutters during the day and opening them up in the evening when the air cooled considerably. We loved dining 'al fresco' outside every night in the lovely outdoor dining area. And the dining room inside is great also with lots of room for all. Other conveniences included 2 large fridges which accommodated all our needs as a family of 10, as well as excellent laundry machines so we could refresh our clothes and towels easily. The housekeeping help were also very pleasant and thorough. We felt very well cared for and had a fabulous time relaxing and enjoying the sound of the cicadas as well as exploring so many wonderful historical sites and natural treasures such as the Camargue bird sanctuary with flamingos, fields of sunflowers and lavender, the wonderful plane trees lining so many roads, the Luberon valley surrounded by mountains and huge rocky outcrops - all made this trip full of great memories and wonderful experiences that delighted all the senses. It was also so easy to travel there by high speed train from Paris, pick up cars at the train station, and we were there within 30 minutes settling in. We would highly recommend.
Three generations of our family spent a magical week in this beautiful house. It was everything we hoped it would be. We couldn't have chosen better! Fully equipped kitchen, luxurious bathrooms, comfortable beds, perfect location for trips to the surrounding towns, villages and attractions. Swimming pool - which we made use of every day. I would recommend it to anyone and would go back in a heartbeat!
Review on visit to Chemin de Rousty
We arrived to a wonderfully updated country house with every amenity one could ever want when renting a vacation home. The house was large and beautiful, as were the grounds and surrounding town area. Wonderful pool (although we were a bit late in the season to take the plunge) and garden area. Very quiet, peaceful and French….with a British spin!
The kitchen was fully functional and every tool needed to prepare and serve a gourmet meal was there. There was even a bountiful supply of spices, condiments and all those "little bits" one always forgets when renting a house on the road! The appliances were all new, as was the fit-out of the entire kitchen, plenty of space and storage. The lighting throughout the house was brilliant and all adjustable to the brightness needed, always a nice mood enhancer!
The living and dining spaces were perfect and provided great options for community time, as well as great places to get away for a nap, a good read or just to be alone, inside or outside. The interior spaces are well decorated and accessorized in a comfortable, contemporary style that is very cool, and guaranteed to make anyone feel right at home. Very well done, right down to the stocked candy dish in the living room.
Bedroom and bathrooms were equally as well thought out as the rest of the house. The rooms were large with beamed ceilings and very comfortable. A cleaning service came mid-week to freshen everything up. The beds were great and heating and cooling were a snap to operate.
But, the truly best part of this rental was by far our hostess (owner), Sandra. In addition to the house rental, Sandra offers a personal concierge service (for an additional fee that was worth every euro) that made our trip just perfect! Upon our arrival, the kitchen was stocked with everything we had previously requested plus she had prepared a delicious dinner for our first evening! For the whole trip, Sandra's advice with directions and destination choices saved us so much time and energy, while also delivering us the "A+ list experience". From places to go, to the most amazing restaurants that no tourist would ever find, to the best wineries to visit and which local markets to see, Sandra hooked us up with reservations, addresses and phone numbers and tips to make it all really easy!
Finally, this trip was a one in a million find for us! A great country, a great house, great food and wine….. all made possible by an extraordinary hostess! Thanks a million!
Perfect summer escape...
I am recently back from 10 blissful days at Mas La Belugo. Most of the time there were ten of us spanning three generations and we all absolutely loved our stay. The house is beautiful and very well equipped for rental purposes and Sandra and Andrew did everything (and more!) than we could have expected to ensure we had the best possible holiday. We are already planning a return holiday....hopefully for next year.
Historical St Remy with it's famous Wednesday market and home to the Romans, Van Gogh and Nostradamus is full of fine shops, restaurants and cafes. The area is home to many excellent vineyards as depicted in A Good Year by Peter Mayle. There are many other villages close by including Les Baux de Provence with over three million annual visitors, Eygalieres and Maussane. St Remy is also within half an hour's drive of Avignon, Arles, Nimes and The Camargue and within an hour of Marseille, Montpellier and Aix-en-Provence. Golf is available at Mouries (20 minutes) and tennis in the village of St Etienne du Gres. There are many other things to do including horse riding, quad biking, wine tasting at many local vineyards including Domaine Dalmeran which is within walking distance and also offers cookery classes. There are numerous music festivals taking place to satisfy all different tastes (Jazz, Rock, Opera and Classical). Each local village has it's own Summer 'fete' which can be very enjoyable. The Roman ruins at Glanum just outside St Remy are a must see for any keen history students. The annual world famous photographic Exhibition takes place in Arles in August.
