Each year we spend time at Rebecca’s River Roost and enjoy it no matter what time of the year it is. Our family covers a wide span of ages and each and everyone loves to be there. There is something for everyone year around. It is a great place to spend time with just a couple or a family and you can do as much or as little as you want. It was like visiting a relative's home...

  • 5 of 5

We had the best time!! The home was perfect for our crew.. three adults and three young kids. I am beyond thankful for the game room where my snoring husband could sleep without disturbing the rest of the house! 😊? The yard was perfect for our Easter egg hunt, and the deck was ideal for sipping coffee or wine and enjoying the view. We all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and were only disappointed with the cool water, but I'm guessing that would change in a month or so! We cannot wait to go back. We could've spent an entire week there and easily did something new each day. It's worth checking out Inks Lake State Park up the road. A ton to do there. Paddle boats and kayaks... general store and swimmining and hiking. The house itself was like walking into a relatives cabin. It didn't feel like a rental at all. When booking the house we had a very quick response, but I inquired about a late checkout the day before checkout and the day of checkout and never heard back. We ended up leaving early anyway, but would've been nice to have had a more leisurely departure had it been available. Other than that super minor thing... it was fantastic and I would return in a heart beat.

Quaint and Relaxing

  • 4 of 5

Felt more like a home than any other vrbo rental where I have stayed. Lots of comfortable places to kick off your shoes and relax both inside and out. More than enough bedding, towels, dishes and cooking utensils. The pantry was even mostly full with dry goods such as tea, coffee, sugar, etc.

Although other properties are very close and outside areas have a very much shared feel, we never felt crowded and all the "neighbors" were friendly and noise levels were appropriate for the times of day.

Only two cons to the property, well three depending on the number of vehicles you bring.

1. The one and only bathroom is small. With only a shower that will not comfortably fit anyone over 5'10".

2. The lack of bed side table with lamp in master bedroom was an inconvenience.

3. Drive way is very narrow and although it would probably hold three vehicles , getting in and out would take shuffling. Street parking was a problem for everyone that needed to use the street and made getting into the drive a slight challenge.

There was two of us and we really did enjoy our stay. My husband spent a lot of time on the boathouse pier fishing and watching the river traffic, well that is when I wasn't dragging him around junking.

The area offers a fair number of antique and junk shops within some very scenic driving distances.

Will definitely be staying here again unless we decide to bring the "kids".

Nice cozy place. Loved the game room and sunroom

  • 5 of 5

Had a great time. House is sized for 3-4 people from a comfortable sleeping standpoint but could sleep a few more in a pinch. Just one bathroom which was nice but small so keep that in mind. Overall a really nice place.

What a wonderful relaxing lake home

  • 5 of 5

The best place we have ever stayed! It was like being in your own home away from home! Beautiful view of the lake as soon as you walked in. Everything you could need is in the home. And outside has such a wonderful patio to relax and bbq pits to cook outside if you want. And a swim in the lake morning, noon and night was so relaxing. Even a place to feed the fish. The owner has done such a wonderful job in the decor and cleanliness. Would definitely advise anyone who loves relaxation and quiet area to stay. Thank You Rebecca for sharing your home with us! Was absolutely awsome !!!!. Will definitely be back next summer for a longer stay!!!!!
