Spend your Cape Cod vacation relaxing in style. Our Hyannis home has been beautifully updated and decorated in fresh summer colors that make you feel you're on holiday as soon as you walk in the door!

The house has been outfitted and furnished with comfort and convenience in mind. The kitchen is fully equipped so you can easily prepare meals at home.

The house comfortably sleeps 6, or up to 8 people, in 3 bedrooms. The first floor bedroom has a set of bunk beds that the kids will love. Upstairs are two very large bedrooms with a Queen bed in the master and two Double/Full sze beds in the other. Both have ample closet space. The master has a television and dvd player.

There are 2 full bathrooms, one on each floor, each with a tub/shower combo. We also have a wonderful outdoor shower that makes it a pleasure to rinse off after a day at the beach!

The house is equipped with broadband wifi, two televisions, 2 dvd players, Netflix streaming video and Comcast cable. Central air conditioning ensures that you are cool on even the hottest of summer days. There's a gas grill outside and a washer/dryer in the basement for your convenience. We have beach chairs, a beach umbrella and beach toys in the shed for your use.

Rental includes use of a Barnstable Beach Parking permit which allows you to park for free at numerous beach and lake parking facilities in Barnstable county. (A savings of $15-20 per time!)

Our large spacious yard is a pleasure for hanging out, barbecuing or tossing a frisbee or playing soccer. It is flat, fenced, grassy and on a quiet dead-end street. We have a lovely built-in barbecue and stone patio, complete with outdoor dining set, chairs and umbrella. Our newest additions to the yard are a pergola and fire pit.

Once you venture off the property, you'll find that in a couple minutes you can be sitting on a town beach, checking out the shops on Main street, eating fresh seafood at the waterfront, hopping a ferry to Nantucket, or shopping at the mall. Just a couple streets away you can go for homemade ice cream, play mini-golf or catch a concert at the Cape Cod Melody Tent. On a rainy day, the kids might enjoy seeing the Cape Cod Potato Chip factory or going bowling. Drive out of town and there are literally dozens of gorgeous beaches and ponds to explore. For a day trip, we suggest heading out to the tip of the Cape to Provincetown and experiencing a whale watch and the Cape Cod National Seashore. Bring or rent bikes, and you can also experience the Cape Cod rail trail, enjoy the scenery and get in some exercise.

The house is walking distance to Main Street shops and restaurants and less than two miles to Keyes Beach, Veterans Park Beach and Kalmus Beach in Hyannis.

Numerous grocery stores (including Trader Joe's and Whole Foods), seafood markets, breakfast diners and numerous restaurants make it easy to dine in or eat out.

A vacation on Cape Cod can be as relaxing or as active as you wish! And at the end of the day, you'll be happy to know you have a clean, comfortable home base to call your own.

About Jennifer Lozada

I am an interior decorator and realtor living outside of Boston. Travel is my favorite thing and I particularly love to travel internationally. Growing up in Massachusetts, I've always loved coming to the Cape and being near the ocean. Having this house as my local get-away is a dream come true! I look forward to sharing it with you and hope you enjoy it as much as I do. Jennifer

Jennifer Lozada purchased this house in 2009

Why Jennifer Lozada chose Hyannis

We wanted an comfortable house with a great yard that was accessible to everything the Cape has to offer. We bought it in tough shape and I updated and decorated it. We love that Hyannis is a town that you can visit year round, unlike other smaller towns on the Cape that tend to shut down off season. While fantastic in summer, I also enjoy the house in the winter for a relaxing change of scenery.

What makes this house unique

The location of the house is perfect because you're on a quiet dead-end street, yet all the action is just a minute away!

Centrally located, Hyannis puts you within easy driving distance of all of Cape Cod so you can easily explore the entire area! Home of the Kennedy family compound, Hyannis is classic Cape Cod and a convenient place for getting to know the area.

Mother/Daughter Trip to Cape Cod - September 2017

  • 5 of 5

Having grown up during the Kennedy "Camelot" days and hearing or reading about the Kennedy family's love of this area, one of my lifelong dreams was to visit Cape Cod, Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket. Last week this dream came true. We chose Hyannis as our home base and took day trips from this central location to both islands, Boston, Provincetown and then ultimately departing Hyannis for Newport on our way back to the Providence airport.

After researching numerous VRBO properties and reading property reviews, we ultimately decided on Jennifer's home. It turned out to be the PERFECT home-away-from-home. As the other reviews for her property indicate, Jennifer has thought of everything. This house is in close proximity to all Hyannis has to offer, spotlessly clean, very organized, impeccably decorated, and has everything you could possibly need for a comfortable and convenient stay. She has even prepared a comprehensive binder containing details about the house, appliances, TV, as well as ferry schedules, restaurants, and numerous pages of information we found extremely helpful while enjoying her Hyannis home.

It's not just that the house was perfect; I cannot say enough about our interaction with Jennifer. Throughout the booking process, our arrival, departure and anytime we had a question, Jennifer was always accessible via text or email. Since Hurricane Jose was looming off the coast for part of our visit, she even took the time to send us an email with recommendations for activities, restaurants, museums, etc. should we encounter a rainy day. While very professional, she just could not have been more accommodating or hospitable.

My daughter summed it up best when she said "Wow, this has really spoiled me for only wanting to stay in VRBO's instead of hotels." We would highly recommend this property for your next trip to the Cape.

Thank you for a wonderful experience Jennifer. If we ever get back to the Cape we would not consider staying anywhere else.

Owner's Response: As someone who loves to travel and rent local homes, I try to offer a rental experience that finds the balance between offering guests all the comforts of home together with special touches that make you feel like you are indeed on a vacation somewhere new! I am so pleased to know that you found my house to be just that. I'm also grateful for the kind words you wrote regarding the totality of the rental experience - including my availability and management of the rental process. I am always happy to share little local finds, tips and suggestions that you might not stumble upon during a short stay. I know these little extras help people to really enjoy the area - even when perfect beach weather may not be what you get! Thank you Vicki & Ashlee for being great guests, I would love to have you stay again sometime should you ever return to the Cape!

Beautiful home with a great yard and easy access to the sites of the Cape

  • 5 of 5

I travel a lot both for business and pleasure. Jennifer is the best host I have ever seen. Her attention to detail and desire to make our stay enjoyable was second to none. There are fancier places to be sure, but you would be hard pressed to find a cleaner, better maintained, more tastefully decorated place to stay than this. The rooms are bright and Jennifer has thought about every aspect of what makes a stay pleasant. There is a very big yard with a fire pit, a large outdoor dining table, a grill, a pergola, a hammock, and lots of both sun and shade. It is not on the water but the ocean is within walking distance and she provides a pass that gives access to all the local beaches. When you get back from the beach, there is a nice outdoor shower. Hyannis is perfectly placed in the middle of the Cape so it is convenient for exploring the whole area. If you get a rainy day, there are board games, puzzles, and video services like Netflix as well as a nearby mall with a movie theater. The downtown is a ten minute walk or two minute drive and has loads of good restaurants and shops. I loved our stay and can't wait to go back again.

Owner's Response: Thank you for the wonderful review. I'm so glad your family enjoyed your week and found the house and property to your liking! I do try hard to make the house a good value for its rental rate and size by making sure it is well stocked, has vacation extras like beach pass/chairs/firepit and is clean, comfortable and attractively decorated. Would be more than happy to have you stay again! Jennifer

Really cute!

  • 5 of 5

This house was exactly as pictured. Great location, private. She had everything we needed, including beach chairs and towels. My only request, would be to have curtains on the downstairs windows. At night, you can clearly see into the house even with the shades down. Other than that, the house was absolutely perfect!

Just returned from a great vacation in this beautiful home. The home is clean and so nicely decorated. The outside space is also very nice. The house is close to the beach and Main St. Hyannis. Having the beach pass to try different local beaches was nice. Jennifer is so easy to work with and answers all questions in a very timely manner. Totally enjoyed our stay.

Spacious, beautiful, and clean. The owner has thought of every Cape vacation detail for the convenience of the vactioner. Nice quiet cul de sac neighborhood and close to the necessary jaunts to beach and Main St. faire. The yard is pretty and peaceful with a place for everyone to play or chill. I hope to be back next year! You really can't go wrong here.
