We loved it!

  • 5 of 5

This place was perfect for the two of us. The owner has a 2nd apartment across the hall that our friends rented so it was so nice to be together and still have our own space. Will definitely look for this place next time we come to Paris!

Great location and amenities!

Check-in/check-out was easy and Alexandre gave us great instructions to find the apartment, plus insider tips on the area. There is a metro stop nearby, giving easy access to the city.

Great location!

  • 5 of 5

The apartment was clean and in a superb location! The Latin Quarter is definitely the place to stay if you want to get a feel for everyday life. The bar downstairs was a little loud only Friday night, but not loud enough to bother us. We would stay here again and again! Very happy!

Great week in Paris

  • 5 of 5

This apartment is superbly located in the midst of many things a visitor would want to access as well as transport links to all of Paris. There are all the facilities needed for a self catering break if you don't wish to take advantage of ll the local restaurants. Whatever you do, (unless you have already) don't miss a visit to the Musee d'Orsay on the south bank of the Seine which is only a short walk away..... we also visited the Palace of Versailles but by starting out at 9am ended up in a LONG queue in the open air (hot) to get in through the limited number of security checks..... it was a worthwhile trip nice we got in and the train from the "odeon" took us there for 3Euro's with no fuss.....

Great location

  • 4 of 5

The apartment was easy to find and access, and the location is great - many restaurants, bars, cafes, and shops just outside the door, as well as just a few minutes walk from the Louvre and Notre Dam cathedral, and nearby metro stations too. We felt very safe walking the nearby streets at night.

The apartment itself is quite small, but it's fine as just a place to sleep, as well as clean and relatively well-maintained. We did not use any of the kitchen facilities except to keep some water cool in the fridge. The toilet is enclosed in a very tight space between two walls which a larger person may find difficult, or even impossible, to use - we were fine though. There is also a washer-dryer which we made use of.

Security seemed good, with a code to enter the door to the street, and a good key locking mechanism on the apartment door, and solid locks on the windows too. There is a safe but we were not able to use it as the code was not available, despite asking many times.

We visited while the weather was very hot and unfortunately the apartment also became uncomfortably hot. It could do with an air conditioning unit or a better fan - the electric standing fan in the room was damaged so it could only be turned off or to the highest setting, making it too noisy to sleep - no lower settings could be selected. We didn't want to open the windows because bugs would be attracted to the lights - and despite feeling like it was a safe area we still would not feel safe sleeping with the windows wide open, so this was not an option. Other reviews have commented that some noise from the street can be heard, but we did not find this to be the case - the apartment is very quiet generally except for some noise from other residents going up and down the stairs.

Internet access was adequate and the host was easily contactable via WhatsApp and spoke good English, though we never had any direct contact.

The process of arriving and leaving was very easy.

Overall, we were happy with the visit, and despite some minor complaints we would happily stay again and recommend this apartment.

Nice place, great location, but not much room to move around

  • 4 of 5

The place is pretty much what you see in the photos. Not much for furnishings but has the basics. The location was pretty good. A short walk to Metro stations on two sides.

The third floor walkup was a little tough after a day of walking around the city and climbing stairs at various attractions. The weather was cool most of the time so the nearby streets were not filled with people most nights. When they were, we could hear them with the windows open, but with the windows closed it was pretty quiet.

We never tried cooking anything as there were places to eat and drink all over in the area.

The real downfall was the bathroom. Very small, no counter space and (perhaps because of the washer dryer?) there was a slight odor that didn't really go away. It was nice looking and everything worked but you don't want to be a big person in that space.

I would certainly consider staying there again. The owner was very good to work with and provided us with some helpful tips for the apartment and where to find some of the things we were looking for.

Owner's Response: Hello Jason, I am happy that you enjoyed your stay. That's right that's parisian apartments are sometimes a little bit small comparing american. I will check for the odor. Regards
