The cottage is part of the Evans Estate. The beautifully renovated 1400 sq ft one bedroom home offers modern amenities amidst the seclusion of one acre of beautifully landscaped grounds on more than 200 feet of gated, privately accessible oceanfront. The romantic setting is complimented by recent loving restoration of this classic Kona home owned by the same family for almost 70 years. Architectural and design highlights include original beautifully restored hardwood floors, deck railing hand made from recovered local eucalytus trees, fossilized limestone countertops, basalt and limestone bathroom with rain and hand showers and jacuzzi tub, and solatube skylights. Watch all the recreational activities of the bay from surfing to kayaking from your bedroom, covered lanai and around the grounds, all overlooking the water's edge where you can share a swim, share a romantic sunset or practice morning yoga. The cottage is one of three cottages on the Evans Estate.
This property has been owned by the same family for almost 70 years.

The setting is perfect for exploring Hawaiian history or to relax and enjoy the many activities on Keauhou Bay. It is within walking distance of all luxury amenities, and is peaceful and stunningly beautiful.
The location is convenient to island excursions or a secluded romantic vacation on Keauhou Bay.
Beautiful location for snorkeling, paddle boarding, kayaking, walking. If you are active, this is one of the best locations we have found on the Island. Mike is a great host that will make you feel right at home. Special treat: pick your own bananas, grapefruit, herbs everyday from the property. Can't wait to return!
This is a beautiful property. The setting is very private. The garden and houses are very well maintained. And the bay views and direct access are wonderful. Michael Evans, who owns the property, was a gracious and very helpful host. We enjoyed every aspect of the property thoroughly. Its privacy was restful, and its location was convenient to numerous beaches, trails, farmers' markets and good restaurants. This was one of our most enjoyable visits to Hawaii. We plan to return here.
We had a memorable stay at this place. Michael is a perfect host. The kitchen is fully equiped to cook and the lanai is ideal for romantic dinners . The location and the set up near the ocean are fabulous. There is even a tennis court and location for paddle boards and snorkling equipment nearby. 10 minutes only from Kona. We hope to go back someday.

My husband and I spent spent 5 wonderful nights at this beautiful location. The house is wonderful, you get a true Hawian feel unlike the condo we had stayed in the week prior. The house has AC which can be hard to find in Hawaii. In the main part of the house we left the AC off and enjoyed having the doors open and listening to the ocean. If you are accustomed to sleeping in a cold bedroom, you will love having the separate AC in the bedroom. The shower is wonderful and the extra touch of special soaps and robes was very nice to have. Michael was a wonderful host, easy to reach, allowed us to check in early, and provided ideas of things we might like to see and do on the island. The kitchen was well appointed and nice to have to cook breakfast in each morning.
You can snorkel right out back of the house which was a huge plus. The Sheraton Kona Resort is within easy walking distance for dinner, drinks and even a view of manta rays late in the evening. I can't recommend this location highly enough if you choose to spend time in the Kona area. It is beautiful, the pictures on the website really do not show the magnificent location this truly is.
We have been going to the big island for many years and this property is by far the best place we have stayed. It offers simple yet luxurious accommodations overlooking the ocean. You have access to the water 25 feet from your doorstep for snorkeling, swimming, kayaking, etc. the house and property are absolutely beautiful. Fruit trees are abundant as well as lovely flowering plants. Michael was wonderful to work with as well. We will definitely plan to return to this wonderful property.
My husband and I just spent a truly wonderful week at this lovely cottage! The cottage is well stocked with everything you need and just feels so Hawaii! The property is everything shown in the pictures and more... peaceful, romantic, quiet and just drop dead gorgeous! Honestly, it's almost hard to leave the place:) Michael was a very good host, always available but respectful of our privacy.
