Traveled with a 4 yr and a 10 mo old and stayed here five nights. Enjoyed every aspect of the stay and will go back if we visit Honolulu again. Check-in: Paul, assigned to assist us with the check-in arrived at the property well before we did. The instructions were clearly emailed out in advance. We were actually a little late to reach as we had to stop on our way to purchase some basic food items for the kids. Paul was very friendly, greeted us with a big smile, talked the toddler up nicely and even gave a hand in carrying luggage from the car up to the home. The condo is on the 7th floor and assigned parking spot is in the 4th floor garage. Paul showed us everything around the home and provided the codes to the main door. Location: About a 10-min stroll away from the beach. Very conveniently located near the shopping area and restaurants. Great location for evening walks and for public transport. We had rented a car, so did not need use that. Supplies, appliances and cleanliness: Very well cleaned and maintained home. Quite a bit of towels and bed linen stocked up. Kitchen had all the utensils we needed - lots of pans and cooking utensils. And quite a collection of dinnerware. There were even storage boxes which we used quite a bit to pack food for our day trips. Dishwasher, clothes washer/dryer, blender, electric rice cooker, clothes iron, television with cable, wifi internet, air conditioner and vacuum - all in great working condition. General: Nice little condo, just perfect for the 4 of us. Great evening breeze if you leave the patio door open. There was always a security guard at the lobby and all entrances are secured by key fob sensors. Felt safe overall - did not venture outdoors too late in the evenings though. Paul was always available when I called him with questions and had all the answers. Checkout was a breeze - just had to put trash out and then pack and leave. The condo was awesome. There were reviews that it was noisy because of construction but I did not see that to be a problem at all. The condo was very clean, the building secure, and the location was exactly where I wanted to be. The staff at Captain Cook were super helpful and friendly.

Convenient Location in Waikiki

We stayed at the 4 Paddle in another unit in 2015, and wanted to rebook here due to the great location and included amenities that suit our needs. Jessica, our mgr was nice enought to check us in 1/2 hr early. This unit 708 is nicely decorated, quiet and is exactly as shown in the listing pictures. We would also echo the exact same issues, sentiments and comments as the last guest who stayed just before us. I would also add a few more comments to theirs: The A/C took a long time (8 hrs) initially to cool our unit after checkin, but was okay during the remainder of our stay. The patio door requires lubrication as it is really hard to open/close and does not LOCK. The front door needs some attention, as it sticks and requires a hefty push/pull to open & close. A dish rack would be nice for drying if not using the d/w. My biggest issue was the tiny area for the toilet as we seem to be bumping into both the sliding door and sliding tub doors constantly. This could be alleviated by installing a curved shower rod with a shower curtain to open up the tub/toilet area which would be a HUGE improvement and at minimal cost. The cable was working okay the first week but was flakey the 2nd week with the frequent blue screen of death. However, we really appreciated the included HD PVR that was a welcomed surprise. All of our additional comments above were tolerable and didn't really impact our stay or require any attention from our property manager.

We apologize for the problems you encountered and thank you for alerting us. The A/C had a slight clog, which reduced the chilled water flow and it is now working perfectly. The sliding door rollers have been lubricated and adjusted. Although there was a folding metal dish rack, we purchased a standard dish rack at your suggestion. We are also happy to report that the owners have replaced the dining chairs, bar chairs, recliner and coffee table. Your feedback helps ensure we keep doing things right and correct those things that have fallen below our standards. We look forward to seeing you on your next visit!

This is our second stay in this condo and for the most part we were very satisfied. The furniture is comfortable, albeit they and the carpets are showing the wear. Once again we had continual issues with the television/cable setup, prompting us to call the property manager on a couple of occasions to rectify. In spite of this we would still recommend this unit. The Four Paddle is a clean secure building, close to the action of Waikiki. Once again we had fantastic service from all the staff at Captain Cook, from the ladies in the office (Denise,Wendy,& Ingrid) to Paul the property manager.

It was a very nice and convenient location. Rooms were clean and the securities were good. We were happy to have both a washer and a dryer in the room. We felt very comfortable staying here. There were two entrances in the carpark and was convenient even though the road was one-way.
