Great location and very spacious!

Thank you Karin for sharing this apartment with us. It was like living at home, instead of a small hotel room. Great choice for our stay in Boston!

Nice location in a quiet neighborhood

  • 4 of 5

This apartment would be perfect for one person or a couple. It is located near the Porter Square subway stop, and there is a good grocery store within walking distance. The external entrance, up a steel stair, is unconventional but works fine. The noise level is generally low, although from time to time foot traffic overhead from a yoga studio is noticeable. The kitchen, with its odd assortment of utensils, pans and lids that do not match, etc., indicates that many guests do not do much cooking there. The bedroom is roomy and the queen size bed comfortable. A coinop laundromat in the basement is useful. I would stay there again.

Lovely apartment. Great location. Everything you need

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time in this apartment. We were three ladies in town for an event and this worked perfectly for us. We each had our own bed - and there's one more available if you have four people. To enter, you need to climb a fire escape type stairway on the outside, so if you have trouble with steps, just be aware. The apartment has everything you'll need and the location is great. Air conditioning worked perfectly. I'd use this place again.

Cozy Cambridge Apartment

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed our stay in Gray House. The one bedroom was more than enough room for my husband and I. The place was very clean and the kitchen well-stocked with pots and pans, dishes and silverware. The location was very convenient - about a two minute walk to the Porter Square T-Station and 5 minutes to a grocery store. There are also a number of restaurants and coffee shops in close proximity. All walkable. The apartment made a great basecamp for our explorations of the Boston area. The only caveat that I would add is that the access is a steep exterior metal staircase (mentioned by the owner in the description - so we weren't surprised). For anyone with difficulty climbing or traveling with small children this probably wouldn't be a good fit. It wasn't an issue for us and we would stay there again.

Super Spot

  • 4 of 5

I stayed at this apartment for one week and chose the location because it was close to Harvard University (just under a 10 minute walk). The apartment is roomy and contains everything one needs for a short to longer visit. It is in an older, but well kept home and was very clean. Two small points to note: 1) as others have mentioned, their is a relatively steep set of stairs to navigate to get to the second floor entrance. This is not a huge concern, but could pose a challenge to those with mobility issues. 2) Yoga classes are held in the floor above the apartment and depending on the classes schedule, might wake up a late sleeper. The classes are not overly noisy and didn't bother me, but you do hear people moving around a bit.

Overall, I really enjoyed my stay and found the host, Karin, to be very helpful. I suppose the real test is whether I would book the unit again. The answer is a definite "yes".

Comfortable Central accommodation

  • 4 of 5

This appartment is well positioned for subway connections to DownTown Boston. We found it to be clean and comfortable with good facilities. The Hostess was particularly friendly, welcoming and helpful as we were strangers in a strange land so didn't know our way around at all. I would recommend this accommodation very highly. Thank you Karen for making us feel at home.
