Lovely mountain escape
Terrific weekend. Views are amazing. Owner is wonderful to work with!!!
We hesitate to sing prolonged praise as we intend to return often and want to keep it to ourselves
This home exceeded our expectations. It is not the typical stripped-down, garage-sale-appointed VRBO offering. This is a much-loved second home which is made available to preternaturally lucky people. The kitchen is huge and well stocked, the cast iron skillets and other utensils and implements first rate. The general decor, fit and finish exceptional. There is a nice library (books, music and video) and the furnishings are rich and eclectic...in the good way. The fireplace is extraordinary and the firewood plentiful. Real high-end martini glasses and an actual cocktail shaker were just one of the many surprises. The game room over the garage was an unexpected bonus and did see some use.
The family room off the main great room is equipped with a large TV and several media appliances. We did not use the set up but it is nice to have a door between a fireside chat and loud digitainment for those who need such distraction.
We could go on about walking along the Carson river and enjoying the alpenglow on the rugged mountain peaks from the snugness of the master bed but really do not want too many people booking and bidding up the price on this great retreat. We have stayed at many VRBO and AirBnB's but this one actually has a binder of relevant and accurate information on how to make the various systems and devices work. It is nice to be invited, albeit as paying guests, into a lovingly feathered nest. We give this home 5 out of 5 Terminators (I'll be back!)
This is a lovely home and well kept. We felt very comfortable and there was room to spare. There was snow on the ground and a few flurries, but with the central heating and wood burning fireplace, we were warm and cozy. We would love to stay here again in the future. Thank you for sharing your home with us.
second time I stayed at Ed's vacation home. again the house is very well maintained, lot of spaces for kids to play, and location is unbeatable.
Beautiful home in a gorgeous mountain setting
We had an amazing time at Ed's beautiful mountain home. Nestled between two high mountain ranges and right along the river is such an amazing sight to wake up to every day.
We splashed in the river, did some fishing, and enjoyed all that the area has to offer (only 25 mins to Tahoe and plenty of other attractions).
Ed (the owner) was so easy to work with and communicate with. The house is by far the nicest in the area and has everything you need.
We would love to come back!
Thanks so much, Chris and family
Couldn't of asked for more
The property is beautiful and the house is well kept. The owner was very responsive and everything was as he said it would be. We created great family memories. Wonderful experience
