Set in tropically landscaped gardens on miles of white sand beach only fifteen minutes from historic St. Augustine, this ground floor unit has a sunny, open floor plan that features 2 bedrooms with queen sized beds, two baths with showers, a large Jacuzzi tub in master bedroom, fully equipped kitchen with granite countertops, dinning area for six, porch with chairs and second dinning area, free Wifi, two flat screen TV’s, both with cable, Netflix and DVD players. A third smaller flat screen TV in the master bedroom has cable. The building has a rooftop terrace, which is perfect for enjoying ocean views and sunsets over the Intercostal, and laundry facilities on the ground floor.
The complex features shingled buildings and winding wooden walkways set in tropical gardens with palms, hibiscus and bougainvillea. It has three pools (one heated), two privately landscaped Jacuzzis, a clubhouse, fitness center, tennis court, sundeck, and gas grills at each pool. Hibiscus is the last condominium at the southern end of St. Augustine Beach, so the beach from here south is less populated and has fewer lights, which makes for great stargazing at night. The complex is perfectly situated with fantastic restaurants within blocks, two major grocery stores within 5 minutes, and historic St Augustine less than 15 minutes away.
The unit is fully equipped for outdoor fun (tennis racquets, 4 beach chairs, beach towels, beach mats, picnic baskets, coolers, plastic ware for beach and pool) and gourmet cooking, with a kitchen stocked with spices, a dishwasher, conventional oven, microwave, convection/toaster oven, food processor, blender, and 2 coffeemakers, one Gevalia drip and one French press.
Come enjoy sunrise walks on the best beach on the east coast, ocean breezes all day long, and sunsets on the terrace.
There is no phone in the unit.
Enjoyed our stay. Sure wish the wifi worked better than it did.
Over all, everything a couple or small family needs. The unit was clean and had all the amenities you need. For beach goers its is a bit of a hick from the room to the beach. We did if d it odd that the whirlpool tub that didn't work was in the bed room at the foot of the bed. The room enters from a shared hall and the neighbors across the hall got a bit loud at times. For the great price and access to three pools and the beach it was great end of the summer vacation for this family.
We loved it. My husband was quite surprised by so much room. We could live here. The walk to beach is a ways about 5 - 15 min depending on your speed and what you're toting. The pool I liked was few minutes away. Internet reception was best in morning, at night kept losing signal. I've always heard that reception isn't best near beaches or in low lying areas. Overall one of our best!
We stayed here around the 4th of July and it was very peaceful. The unit had everything we needed and the lady who checks us in was very helpful and nice as well. We stayed there with our 3 children and after a little bit of baby proofing, it's all we needed. Walk is a bit far, but that is not the units fault. Almost all beach access at Butler/Crescent beach has a decent walk over the dunes. Will return.
The condo was nice and well equip she had everything you need to spend a relaxing vacation. The only problem was I thought this was ocean front, we had to walk to the beach it was a short walk, and very scenic, but a little disappointing when you thought you be able to walk out on the beach, but after viewing the tropical scene it melts all troubled away, the beach is fantastic best beach I ever been too, I give this beach a great review.
We thought this was a decent place for the price. The kitchen layout was nice and stocked adequately. The location is convenient to the grocery store and restaurants. It is not far from the historic area. I read this section of beach is less crowded. We were happily surprised that the water was warm enough for swimming in April. The beach is nice and wide. We found it was easier to access the beach from one of the free public lots because we had a full beach cart. We didn't have any problems with the patio chairs. It was peaceful to sit there in evening. The use of the laundry facility is free. It, unfortunately, was broken when we were there but we really didn't need it. It was fixed before we left. The 2nd bathroom is small but we could use the tub for our younger child. We had the use of 2 pools all to ourselves. We found the place clean and nicely decorated. The owner is quick to respond and friendly.
15 min to historic St. Augustine, Alligator Farm, Marineland, one hour to Jacksonville airport, less than 2 hrs to Disney/Universal.
