Enjoy your vacation in a fully renovated piece of Boulder’s history in the Mapleton neighborhood! This carriage house studio belongs to the Morrison House built in 1891, which is part of Boulder’s Historic Walking Tour and was the crown jewel of Boulder’s “Historic Homes for the Holidays” event.

This light-filled loft comes with an off-street parking space, your own private back yard with BBQ grill and access to all Boulder has to offer. Walk to Pearl Street shops and events, the farmers market, or enjoy CU graduation week in the heart of Boulder. We are also conveniently located across the street from Boulder’s new “eTown Hall” performance space, aired weekly on National Public Radio (NPR).

To make your stay more comfortable we provide you with fresh linens & towels, additional housekeeping upon request and tons of info about Boulder’s sightseeing spots, hidden gems, and outdoor activities.

About Chris Scordo

After many trips to this wonderful town, our family was lucky enough to move to Boulder in 2011, and we fell in love with the Morrison House the second we saw it. In 2012 we purchased the property with its newly built carriage house studio, and this is where we raise our small family, enjoying everything Boulder has to offer! Chris owns a training and publishing business in Boulder, and Victoria is a licensed architect.

Why Chris Scordo chose Whittier

This red brick and shingled house was built around 1891 by Murdoch 'Doc' Morrison, a blacksmith, wagon maker and Boulder alderman. In 2009, the property was completely renovated and expanded, and we had a chance to rent it in 2011. That is when we fell in love with the house and took the opportunity to make it (and Boulder) our home!

Perfect location close to downtown Boulder Charm!

Wonderful stay in downtown Boulder! This lovely carriage house accommodation is just two blocks off the old main street of Boulder and yet is in a super quiet historic neighborhood! The owners were responsive to questions and the place was clean and comfortable. My husband and I attended two functions in town and one was directly across the street from the Carriage House at etown. We hiked two local trails and enjoyed the art galleries in Boulder and Golden. This front range accommodation will stay on our list of places to revisit on our next adventure to the Boulder area. Thank you for adding to the charm of this area!

Location Is Everything!

The Carriage House is a perfect blend of comfort and convenience. The location is perfect for any Boulder dining experience. Everything is within walking distance. And the apartment itself is cozy and well-appointed, with its own private parking space. I will definitely try to stay here again when I return to Boulder.

Fall stay in Boulder

The carriage house was really great when we stayed in late Oct for several days. The space was just steps from Pearl Street yet still very quite. Having a dedicated parking space was wonderful. There seemed to be a pay it forward economy going on in that each resident was leaving some of their items for the use of the next guest such as spices, coffee, and notes on how to operate some of the equipment. We met the owners of the property who were extremely nice and offered lots of suggestions. We used the washer/dryer to try and refresh the towels provided but that did not work out since the towels are now a bit musty. I would recommend the next guest pop over to the Target and buy some fresh towels. We loved our stay and hope to stay there again in the future.

Great private apart. In the center of pearl street

Above garage apartment tucked behind a loverly house and hosts. Quiet, full kitchen, all you need for 2, 1 car parking, but you hardly need your car once you arrive. Plus Lyft Uber available. Great value when you see local hotel rates. Stay here, spend your savings at the hotel bars.
