The sprawling Roman town of Fréjus is about 15 minutes drive away and nestled up beside it is St Raphael, a large seaside town with excellent shops, restaurants and bars. Nearby, there’s also a marina and a large water park that is perfect for a family day out. 20 minutes drive away is Ste Maxime, a Mediterranean seaside town with white sandy beaches along the coast and the forested hills of the Maures providing a wonderful backdrop. The Private Domain is surrounded by a vine yard and 18 hole gol fcourse where our renters receive a discounted green fee. Just about every kind of summer sport you can imagine is available here – from swimming and sailing to scuba diving and water ski-ing. Plus the surrounding hills provide walking and hiking trails, mountain biking and horse back riding. In the town centre there are plenty of restaurants and bars and shopping ranges from small market stalls to trendy boutiques.
From here you can catch a boat across the bay to the elegant and world famous resort of St Tropez - disembarking alongside a never-ending line of luxury yachts. Still very popular with the jet-set, it’s here that you’ll find a multitude of designer shops, pavement cafes and bars as well as the famous market held twice weekly on Tuesday and Saturday mornings. Plus of course the nightlife is legendary – providing plenty of opportunity for celeb spotting! Finally, for something completely different, further afield is the Gorges du Verdon, a spectacular canyon that forms a border between the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence and the Var. Although much smaller than Arizona’s Grand Canyon, the Gorges is deep, compact, wild and beautiful. From Castellane to the village of Rougons, the Verdon river flows clear and swift, and the road follows along the banks. At Rougons, by the Point Sublime, the river plunges into narrow rock walls and there’s no escape until it comes out the western end before flowing into Lac de Ste Croix. Walking, canoeing and river rafting are all available in these stunning surroundings. Plus, at Quinson you’ll find the Verdon Museum of Prehistory which opened in 2001 and is renowned to be the biggest of its kind in Europe.
White sandy beaches, wild creeks and scented pine groves can all be found at St Aygulf, which is again only 5 minutes drive away. There’s also plenty of shops, restaurants, bars and a twice-weekly market – making this resort lively and very popular.
There are plenty of golf courses in the area. The development itself is surrounded by the Golf de Roquebrune - an excellent, challenging 18 holes where our renters receive discounted green fees .
