About Patty & Mike Rosenbauer

We moved from the Pittsburgh PA area in 2000 to Maine to own/operate a bed and breakfast. After selling it in 2004, we decided to remain in Maine because we love the laid-back atmosphere and love the outdoors. We purchased this cottage in 2006 with intentions of remodeling and selling it, however, we enjoyed being lake-front so much, we choose to sell our main home and move to the cottage. In 2014 we purchased another inn, Lakeview Inn in Naples, ME ( We now live in the inn & operate it May-October which enables us to offer the cottage to others to enjoy. After we close the inn for the season at the end of October, we move back to our home and enjoy the serenity from October to May.

We love the outdoors and spend our free time hiking, kayaking & snowshoeing.

Patty & Mike Rosenbauer purchased this house in 2006

Wonderful Stay

  • 5 of 5

My family and I had a wonderful relaxing one week stay at the cottage over the summer. Everything was as listed and impeccably clean! The kayaks were used daily by our two teenagers. My husband and I spent most of the week either on the deck or the dock enjoying the views of Sebago. The location in town was great too. Close to Windham for shopping and restaurants. We also took a day trip to North Conway, less than an hour away. Overall a great stay. Would definitely recommend to a friend!

Lovers of everything Maine

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here for a week with 2 of our adult children and it was perfect! Clean, well kept and comfortable. Sitting on the dock, kayaking and canoeing were our favorite activities. It was very hard to leave this beautiful property.

Our first lake vacation

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I stayed here for two weeks on our first Sebago Lake vacation. It was perfect for us. It is well appointed, well maintained and feels like a real home. The owners obviously take pride in this property. We could sit on the dock, go out on the kayaks , read on the deck and just relax. I would recommend adding some kind of umbrella or other shade option for the dock, it can get hot down there in the afternoon sun. Of course you can move up to the deck for shade, but sometimes it would be nice to stay down by the water in the late afternoons. Just a suggestion. The property was fabulous and if we do another Sebago vacation I would definitely consider this property!!

The perfect place!

  • 5 of 5

Our family of 5 stayed at this beautiful, well maintained home for a week. It was everything we were hoping for and more. It sits in the perfect spot that allows for safe swimming and calmer water. The owners really go the extra mile in providing towels, linens, water toys, life jackets, etc. We will definitely be back!! Next summer can't come soon enough.

Perfect Maine getaway!!

  • 5 of 5

This was our first time to Sebago Lake and it couldn't have been a better experience. The house (it's definitely not a camp/cabin) is perfectly situated on the lake, just where the quiet wake is enforced but close enough to the action that you get that great 'summertime' vibe. We spent most of our time swimming off the dock, having awesome dinners on one of the multiple decks, fires at night and exploring the local area. The house itself is super clean and stocked with just about everything you need! We loved it so much that we'll definitely revisit and have also recommended to friends.

Owner's Response: Thanks for your great review and look forward to having you again this summer. We love the location of our 'Lake House' as it sits just where the cove widens into the lake. The lake ramps up with activity on summer weekends however during the week we often find ourselves the only ones on the lake when we are out exploring the islands in the kayaks.

Our family of 3 stayed at this fantastic cottage this summer for a week. The house is beautiful and updated throughout---it’s no “camp” and truly is a gem with great views, several porches/decks, an incredible dock, and great location. It was clean and well taken care of. Patty and Mike were awesome and definitely went above and beyond to welcome us to their property---we had freshly baked cookies and a bottle of wine left for us upon arrival! We spent the entire week outside in the water and on the dock. The dock was amazing! It’s brand new and in great shape! The majority of our time was spent on the dock swimming, fishing, boating and catching some sun. The water was clear and clean. The only reason we chose the cottage was because of its proximity to the boat marina near by (we have family that keep their boat there) and were happily surprised at how GREAT the house and property was. We were just looking for a convenient location with water access, but we got waaaaay more!!!!

The only 2 things that could have been better was (1) There was no cable---and we were really looking forward to watching NESN and watching the Red Sox while we were visiting and (2) neither my husband or I had any cell phone reception which was inconvenient. Neither of these things were deal breakers though, and I would definitely recommend this place and hope to stay again this summer!!!!

Owner's Response: Thanks for the great review and you'll be happy to know that we've upgraded the cable so you can now watch your Sox games when you return this summer. Also, we now have a phone land line in case your cell phone can't get a signal.
