Me on the left at the Boulder institution, Dot's Diner. I moved to Boulder in 1993 from Ohio. I've been a self employed Carpenter for 43 years and still love what I do. Over the past few years I've been setting the intention of a more Artistic type of Carpentry. I like Wise Use of Space, Environmentally Friendly Materials, build Indoor Tree Houses and incorporate Wabi-Sabi (The Beauty of Imperfection) by reusing materials and showcasing their patina. Most every piece of furniture is unique wabi sabi and have nicks and scratches which highlight their patina. This unit designed and remodeled by Greg Miller Design.

While traveling in the Southwest and Maui during the Winter of 2004 I kept getting the insight that when I returned to Boulder I wanted to find a Sunny Condo with hardwood floors. When I returned I found this great location and slowly did a total remodel with many very unique applications. It was definitely a labor of Love! I opened up walls wherever possible, installed lots of glass block, an inside bicycle garage, indoor treehouse with aspen stairway, reclaimed items include hardwood floors, 6 panel doors, redwood deck, many glass block, custom vanity and much more. Environmentally friendly applications include kitchen cabinets (Formaldehyde free cabinets made of wheat board, Alder fronts with no VOC clear finish), Energy Star appliances, all caulks, primers, paints and clear finishes as friendly as possible at the time. The property location is stellar and is located in the beautiful Mapleton Hill Historic District, 4 blocks from the Pearl Street Mall, 3 blocks from the Community shopping Center and 7 blocks from the foothills with many hiking options. I'm offering this property on VRBO so I can move on to creating another and am seeking like-minded souls who will respect, appreciate and enjoy it as much as I do. This is not a party property. What makes this Condo unique
This end unit is flooded with morning Sunshine and the South and East facing 2nd story private balcony, w/ partial awning for some shade, gets sun all day. Colorado has the unique feature of cooling down on summer nights. While air conditioning is available in this unit I've never used it in 7 years. Being located on the 2nd and 3rd stories it's easy to securely leave the windows open. This unit has been created as a Space of Love, perfect for a retreat to get out of your element and spend a month or more in this unique space in beautiful Boulder, Colorado! This end unit is 2 floors on the 2nd and 3rd stories. One flight of outside stairs to the front door. Condo complex has 68 Units in 8 buildings with a swimming pool located in the middle. This unit located on the far SE corner of the complex, an end unit, two 4' x 5' and one 3' x 5' east facing windows get flooded with morning sunshine. South & East facing private 6' x 12' 2nd story balcony with outdoor table/chairs and a 4' bench with storage below gets full sun most of the day, 12' of flower filled boxes in summer. Unit has no carpet. Entire lower level, stairway and upper level hallway are reclaimed oak hardwood floors. Office has a cork floor, bedroom a pine floor and bathroom and main entry foyer are flagstone. Most area rugs are new Dash & Albert plus a couple misc. Nurturing and Perfectly Located
Greg used the finest natural materials to create this nurturing space within walking distance to Pearl Street and markets. He has a knack for making a small space feel expansive. We loved walking into town and to hiking trails in the opposite direction. I also enjoyed riding my bike to and along the Boulder Creek Path for miles. My husband used the perfect large workspace on the 2nd level, and I used the closet in that room for my clothes, so we each had our own ample-sized closets for our 2-month stay. Greg checked in on us to make sure we had everything we needed and was easy to contact. We felt like we were staying at a friend's home!
The perfect Get Away
I rent frequently in Boulder, and have often found the photos & hype for the property do not meet my expectations upon arrival. However, this particular rental was just perfect & everything I'd hoped it would be. The decor was tasteful; in earth tones with plenty of light. The condo is well organized & extremely tidy. The TV screen was large/plenty of cable stations, & the office internet connection was great. A big plus is that this condo is located in the exclusive Mapleton Historic District & within walking distance of Pearl Street Mall, outstanding restaurants & hiking trails. This condo has everything one needs for a memorable stay in Boulder. I'll be back!
This was one of the most beautiful places I've stayed - full of light, and beautiful design.
My stay here was fantastic, and far exceeded any expectations! The apartment itself is beautiful and such a wonderful place to spend time - it felt big and open (space for yoga, meditation, working, writing, reading. Views of stars from the balcony!) and there are elegant details everywhere, I won't reveal here as finding them is part of the fun!
The location is perfect, a quick walk or bike into downtown, the mountains, to a local whole foods.
Greg was fantastic, and left clear instructions for using the TV, music (speakers and controls in every room!) and everything else. The kitchen was well stoked with everything I needed to cook in the apartment. He was always quick to respond with any questions I had. Thank you Greg!

We stayed here for two and half months and would highly recommend it. You can not beat the location. Close to shops, restaurants and most importantly, trails for hiking, running and biking. The condo was spotless and it had a lot of unique features that we loved. Greg was always prompt in getting back to us regarding any questions we had. We would not hesitate to stay here again.
Beautiful gem located in the heart of Boulder
I felt like I was living in a show house property. The space feels light and open and the unique decorating style, with its emphasis on green materials, makes one feel right at home. Besides the obvious love and attention the owner has put into making this a "green" property, you can't beat the location. In the summer months you are a 5 minute walk to all the festivals and events on Pearl Street Mall, plus bike paths and hiking almost out your door. It's located in the historic Mapleton district and I enjoyed many days just walking around all the paths in the neighborhood and looking at the historic houses. I didn't need a car most of the time. Even the organic grocery store is only a few blocks away. This is definitely a great spot to call "home base" for your visit to Colorado.
'31 Day Minimum' rental as per Home Owners Association. Property is located in the Mapleton Hill Historic District. This Condo complex (68 Units) was built in 1971 and is not labeled Historic but has mostly beautiful Historic houses in the neighborhood. I refer to this location as the 'Golden Triangle'. First 'THE FOOTHILLS' with the very popular Sanitas Trails just 7 blocks to the west (the walk to get there all through Mapleton Hill with quiet streets, beautiful neighborhoods and big trees). Sanitas Area has a Valley trail (easy), a Ridge Trail (moderate) and Sanitas Peak Trail (longer and steeper). All of these trails are separated from town by a ridge that buffers any noise and view of town and all have stunning views of the Flatirons to the South. While these are the closest foothills trails there are many many others in Boulder, many accessible by walking from this Unit. The Chautauqua area (2-3 miles south), is at the base of Boulder's famous Flatirons with many hiking options as well as the beautiful dining hall and auditorium with many summer concerts. Second point of the triangle only 3 blocks to the North is the COMMUNITY PLAZA SHOPPING CENTER with Ideal Market (A small Whole Foods) neighborhood grocery, Noodles, Radda restaurant, Pekoe and Vics Coffee shops, Pharmaca Drug Store, Wine Merchant, Moe's Bagels, Breadworks, Hungry Toad Neighborhood Pub and many other misc stores and eateries. Boulder. Large North Boulder Park is 6 blocks NW of Unit. A 20 minute bike ride up quiet 4th street will take you to Wonderland Lake and North Boulder. The final point of the triangle is the Famous PEARL STREET MALL just 4 blocks south. Four brick paved blocks have been made pedestrian only with many street performers, Wed night 'Band on the Bricks' Summer concerts, art festivals, people watching and many many restaurants, coffee shops, beautiful flowers, Boulder Book Store, Post Office, University Bicycles, Lolita's 24 hour Market, Tonic Oxygen Bar and so much more. The business district also extends for many blocks to the east and west of the actual pedestrian mall. Two blocks south beyond the Mall is Boulder Creek (tubing rentals) and the Boulder Creek Path (goes a few miles to east Boulder and 2+ miles up into the canyon to the west....turns to dirt at the west City limits and mostly parallels the creek in both directions) for walkers, cyclists, rollerbladers, runners etc. The Boulder Creek Path has many spur trails to get you anywhere in town with minimal street riding. Eben G. Fine Park is on the Boulder Creek Path at the west edge of town...15 minute walk...picnic by the creek. The Boulder Library, Alfalfa's Grocery, Boulder Bandshell, Dushanbe Tea House, Museum of Contemporary Art, Outdoor Cinema (Friday nights) and the Wednesday 4pm to 8pm and Saturday 8am-2pm outdoor Farmer's Market are also in this area....all of these an easy walk or bike trip. Boulder has a World Class network of over 300 miles of bike paths, many paved 10'+ wide multi use paths separate from streets with over 75 underpasses that span the whole City....separate from cars. Bike rentals available. Other area attractions include Celestial Seasonings tours, McGuckin Hardware (has everything!), Memorial Day Bolder Boulder that attracts over 50,000 runners and walkers, CU Campus (20 minute walk from this unit), visiting mountain towns such as Nederland (ride the beautiful refurbished Carousel of Happiness for one dollar!), Ward, Gold Hill, Central City (gambling), Allenspark, Jamestown, Lyons, Grand Lake and Estes Park...Gateway to Rocky Mountain Park just 40 minutes away. RMNPark has the highest continuous highway in the US at 12,183 feet. Local RTD Bus service is superb. Many buses have 15 to 20 minute frequency such as the HOP and SKIP (bus stop just 1/3 of a block from unit) Main Bus Station located just 6 blocks from Unit. Skyride frequently goes to and from DIA airport. Downtown Denver just a 50 minute ride with a whole other list of possibilities!
