The apartment, with lift, is located on the 7th floor in a fifties' french building, in one of the twelve rays starting from the triumph arch (etoile with 12 rays) which is avenue d'Iena. The apt is a 5 min walk to George V metro station (line 1, la defense), a 5 min walk to metro Iena (line 9) and next to line 6. The place is fully furnished with one top quality queen size bed and one sofa bed in the living room where you can also eat, listen to music, watch television and so on. There is also a detached kitchen for a quick breakfast, two complete bathrooms, an entrance with wardrobes. The peculiar trait of the apartment is its amazing brightness.
I am an italian lady who loves Paris, its culture and its beauties. After several stayings in Paris I decided to buy this apartment where sometimes I spend my free time.
Carla Marazzato purchased this apartment in 1998
The apartment is surrounded by many amenities, it's position is very close to metro stations and far from crowded and noisy situations.
This comfortable, modern apartment is on the border of the 8th and 16 arrondisements and is a short walk to three metro lines, making it convenient if the sites you want to see are in the western part of Paris.
This is the cleanest Paris rental I have stayed in. The host has provided nearly everything you might need or at least enough that you can improvise to meet your needs. The bed is very comfortable. The fact that you can close off the living room from the bedroom and that there are two bathrooms (one ensuite in the bedroom) makes this a reasonable apartment to share with a child or fellow traveler. Other reviews mention that the sofa is not in good condition. We did not use it, so cannot advise on this. It was comfortable to sit on.
Understand that the neighborhood is staid. There is little commerce in the immediate area: you have to walk a few blocks to find stores and cafes. Although the Avenue d"iena is not a major road, there is a bit of traffic. If you are bothered by road noise, a pair of ear plugs will let you sleep well.
The outdoor market at Quai Wilson (about 5 blocks away) on Wednesdays and Saturdays is extensive and impressive. Even if you've been to Paris markets before, visit this one.
The owner and the onsite manager were helpful and accommodating at all times. In sum, this apartment is a good value, provided you are not looking for a hopping neighborhood experience and are not planning on late nights in the clubs of the Marais.
My friend and I rented the 6th floor apartment for 4 days in October 2015. It is located on a quiet street in a secure building just 3-4 blocks from the George V metro which we used every day. The apartment is best suited for a couple and maybe a small child. The sofa bed is in poor shape and the cot is too small for an adult. Hopefully the pillows have been replaced with new ones. The bedroom is large with an en suite bath and a washer/dryer. The kitchen is cute and was well equipped for our needs. We were unable to connect to the WiFi but it was not the fault of the owner's system. She was very accommodating and pleasant. We felt it was good value for the price and we recommend it as a very good alternative to a hotel.
My son and I stayed at this lovely apartment. It's a great space, very clean, well appointed and near the Metro. Leda met us upon our arrival and had already purchased a bottle of water and a bottle of wine! Very thoughtful and unexpected! I highly recommend this apartment! Carla (the owner) was very helpful in booking the apartment and provided great follow up. Thanks Carla for a wonderful stay in your lovely apartment!
We stayed for five nights and had a lovely time. A family of 3 was very comfortable. With our teenager in the living room, privacy with the doors was wonderful. Two bathrooms were an added bonus - we had not expected the shower in the second bath. The owner and housekeeper were both lovely and the apartment was well provisioned in terms of the coffee maker, with coffee for us upon arrival, and a bottle of wine in the fridge. We used the metro with easy access to both lines 1 and 9. For our marathoner, the location was ideal - close to both the start and finish. We had some lovely meals (on nearby Avenue Kleber and Victor Hugo) and found everything we could ever want at the local shops. The market on Wednesday and Saturday was an added bonus. We took in sites nearby and walked easily to the Eiffel Tower and other destinations. We would definitely return.
Just returned from 10 days in Paris staying in this lovely apartment. The owner was extremely accommodating arranging an early check in after our overnight flight from Washington DC. The apartment looks exactly like the photos and was perfect for our stay. The two bathroom set up is quite unusual for a one bedroom and it was great. The owner had everything we needed and some unexpected conveniences like books, DVDs, umbrellas, cooking utensils, beautiful linen, etc. I loved all the doors on most of the rooms. It allowed for privacy and quiet time for the guests. The location of this apartment was ideal. It was safe, convenient to metro, restaurants and major attractions. The housekeeper was better than anyone I've ever encountered in the US. She even changed some of the décor during our stay.
The owner was extremely kind, considerate and clearly interested in making sure we were comfortable and enjoyed our stay in Paris. I would stay here again. It was a wonderful experience.
Thank you Carla!!
